♡ Chapter 22 ♡
Diana's POV
I woke up and was exhausted. Harry and I had gotten back around 1am last night and I felt like I could barley function.
I looked at my clock and it was 9:00am. Shit. I was late. I ran to the bathroom and my hair was a greasy mess. I quickly put my hair in a sock bun and ran to my closet. I had worn all my pants and they were in the wash from last night since I didn't put them in the dryer. The only option left was a skirt. I quickly paired it with a beige knit top and applied a coat of mascara. I looked in the mirror and was actually proud of my outfit. I looked pretty good in a skirt. Thank god I shaved my legs the day before.
I went downstairs and my aunt was gone. Thank god. I grabbed a bagel and put some cream cheese on it. I got in my car and as fast as I possibly could drove to school. I walked into the attendance office and got a nasty stare from the attendance lady. Goddamit, I'm just late!
I walked into my English class and handed my late slip to Mr.Barnes. No one really noticed me walking in because they were off in their groups finishing up the Romeo and Juliet skits.
"Where's Harry and Lexi?" I asked Mr.Barnes
"Drama room. You may go to Diana." he said smiling. Wtf? Mr.Barnes being nice? I have a feeling it's because I'm not such a loser anymore.
I opened the drama room door and bumped into Harry.
"Hey stranger." I joked
"Hey. Let's go." he said quickly.
"Um okay?" I replied. I looked back and Lexi looked pissed. If I didn't know any better, I would think she was going to kill someone.
Lexi's POV
"Diana?" Mr.Barnes called out.
"No Diana?" he asked again. I looked over at Harry and he had a sad look on his face. Ugh.
"Okay class you may now finish working on your projects. Next class will be your final work period before presentations!" he said sitting down.
"Can we-"
"Yes Lexi, you may use the drama room." he said cutting me off. I just smiled and grabbed Harry.
"Stop trying to drag me there, I can walk myself." he said angrily.
We walked in and I lost it.
"What the fuck are you doing?" I asked
"What do you mean?" he replied
"Why are you wasting your time on fucking Diana? She's a complete loser who's ugly as fuck!" I yelled
"No Lexi, you're ugly as fuck. Your personality is probably the ugliest thing i''ve ever seen in my life. You act like your so much better than everyone else when in reality you're the lowest piece of white trash i've ever met. Have a nice life." he said before heading towards the door.
He opened it and Diana fell onto him. Keep it cool Lexi. Keep it cool.
"Hey stranger." she said smiling. Ugh, her stupid smile.
"Hey. Let's go." he said quickly.
"Um okay?" she said as he dragged her out. She looked at me then they were gone. Once they were out of hearing range I lost it.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! FUCKING BITCH!!!!" I yelled.
I'm going to get her back. One way or another.
Harry's POV
"Where are we going?" Diana asked worried.
"Don't worry about it." I replied.
I drove and drove until I reached the bridge where I wanted to take her. I parked at the side of the bridge and lightly woke her up.
"Oh god did I fall asleep?" she asked slowly sitting up straight.
"Yeah." I replied smiling.
"Sorry, I shouldn't ha-"
"Diana, it's fine. Cmon'" I said getting out of the car.
She got out and followed me to the bridge. I looked out at the water and instantly got chills.
"Harry...why are we here?" she asked leaning on the railing.
"Wh...when I was younger, my family used to rent a cottage about five minutes from here. We went every year, but then my parents split up and we stopped going." I said looking at the water rushing underneath me.
"I love that cottage. Some of my best memories are there. Anyways, last year when my mom found out that I had sex with Lexi, she flipped out. Then the next day, everyone at school was talking about it because Lexi wouldn't shut her fucking mouth, but when the headmaster had to bring us both in to discus it, I felt horrible. Then we got our report cards. I let my grades slip a little and felt so stupid.I got home and got yelled at even more. To make it worse my dad had came to visit and he was just as pissed as my mom. I needed to run away, and I came here." I said talking a moment to pause and look at Diana. She looked like she was about to cry.
"Harry I had-"
"I'm not done." I said looking back over the bridge.
"I'm here, go on." she said putting her hand on my back.
"I got here. I stood up on this banister, and for a moment...I almost jumped.I was so close to doing it. It was winter so I would have just cracked my skull on the ice. In that moment though. It seemed like the only answer. Diana...I almost killed myself." I said crying.
"Harry. Let it out." she said patting my back and hugging me close as we both sunk to the ground.
"I never want to feel that way ever again." I said with tears streaming down my face.
"You won't. You have me. I'll always be with you." she said cupping my face and giving me a soft kiss.
"Please never leave me." I cried
"I won't." she replied
"I love you Diana." I said holding her.
"I love you too Harry."
After sitting there for about 30 minutes, it had gotten dark. I checked the time and it was about 5pm. We had been out all day and it was getting dark.
"We should get going." I said smiling.
"Sure."
We hopped in my car and I could see Diana struggling to keep her eyes open.
"You can fal asleep love, it takes 3 hours to drive back." I said smiling.
"Oh shit, that long?" she asked
"Yeah, with rush hour traffic and all." I replied
"If you don't mind then yeah." she said leaning back in her chair and putting her head on the window.
"Sleep tight." I said laughing a little.
"I will." she replied before dozing off.
About an hour later we were stuck in traffic and Diana was sound asleep. So I started singing.
"Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain
I leave my heart open but it stays right here empty for days
She told me in the morning she don't feel the same about us in her bones

"I didn't know you could sing." Diana said still in the same position with her eyes closed.
"I didn't know you were awake." I replied
"I wasn't, but I'm glad I am now." she said sitting up.
"What time is it?" she asked
"7:30." I replied
"So I guess you will be driving all night to keep me warm eh?" she asked giggling.
"Anything for you." I replied smiling
"Good, so you won't mind listening to this?" she asked turning on the radio. The song 23 came on, and she knows how much I dislike that song.
"I'M IN THE CLUB HIGH ON PURP WITH SOME SHADES ON!" she yelled
"Diana please, not this song." I begged
"TATTED UP MINI SKIRT WITH MY J'S ON!" she sang again, making me roll my eyes.
"I know you love it Styles." she said poking me.
"So get like me" I sang in a girly voice.
For the rest of the ride home Diana and I sang loudly to the most stupid songs ever. To me, that moment was perfect and I never wanted it to end.
