Chapter 4: Old Friends
Liam Payne. My mind raced. I felt my whole body get hot. What was he doing here?!?
"Liam?" I approached slowly.
He smiled. That smile that could make me remember every single thing from 6 years ago. My eye began to twitch.
"Brittyn Szymanski. It's been a long time. Oh sorry. Brittyn Horan! How have you been?" He smelled absolutely delicious. He hugged me and im glad he did because I felt like my legs were jello.
"I've been good! What are you doing here?" I asked pulling myself away from him.
"I'm Billy Flynn! I started acting about a year ago. Got me hooked. Then this part came up and I decided to audition." He smiled again.
Seriously, that smile is killing me right now.
"Oh wow! That's great. I'm Velma Kelly." I was really shocked. Liam acting on Broadway? This didn't seem like him. He wasn't an actor. Not the best dancer. How did he beat out everyone else to get that part? Something seemed strange.
"Really? That's awesome. How's Niall? How's Natalie? " he asked as we sat in the theater seats away from everyone else.
"Good. Really really good. Niall's a producer over at SyCo Records. He's producing Harry's solo album. Natalie is amazing. She's 3 now. Full of energy. Keeps me busy running around."
"I bet she does. I bet she is beautiful too."
I pulled out my phone and showed him a picture I took of Natalie this morning. He smiled "Oh my god Britt she looks just like you! Stunning!"
"Oh no she is a miniature Niall Horan. Definitely a daddy's girl. So what have you been up to?"
"You see it. Acting and singing occasionally on other peoples albums. I just recorded a song with Lady GaGa last week. It's gonna be awesome when it comes out." He smiled proudly.
"That's awesome Liam. So you're doing good? I heard rumors you weren't there for a little bit."
He shrugged, "Yeah im good now. I've made mistakes I'm not proud of but it's in the past and all I can do now is look forward. The future looks bright. I feel really good about it."
Just then the director came on stage and we joined the rest of the cast.
As I stood next to him I couldn't help but notice a tattoo partially covered by his t shirt. I couldn't see all of it but im pretty sure it said "You never forget your first true love. BKS 9-13-13 Funky Buddha."
My initals. The day we met the first time. The place we met.
Fuck. My. Life.
