Wolf

"Dylan!" I snapped my head up and towards my mum.

"Huh?" I must've zoned out.

"We were all just saying that now that you've been recognized, you need to meet your pack."

"M-my pack?" I averted my attention to Harry.

"It's gonna be fine, love. I'm your first in command. You get to boss me around whenever you like." He gave me a cheeky smile and a kissy face. I ran at him fast, before my parents could see. Maybe about 40 mph. And that isn't even top speed! Maybe this Change won't be so bad after all.

"Stop it! My parentals are watching!" I leaned close and whispered in his ear. They weren't even paying attention anymore, they had started arguing quietly.

"So? I can't do this either?" He lifted my face to his and kissed me, feverishly.

"They could make us stop seeing each other, or... or... something. You know how my dad is." I whispered as we broke apart, our foreheads pressed together, our lips only inches apart.

My dad cleared his throat.

"Once you Change you're legally an adult in Werewolf Law." Harry said, loud enough for my father to hear. That's so awesome!

"If you're gonna be all kissy with my daughter, please. Take it outside."

"Mike, leave them alone. They're kids. It's what they do."

"Damn it, Sara! Do you have to take all my authority away in this house?" They started up again, screaming loud enough that my mum's face was red and my father's stress veins were protruding in his neck.

"You lost that privilege when you decided to keep your role as Kalahari Alpha." I gaped at my parents as they bitterly yelled in each other's faces. Why can't they get along? Tears burned the edges of my eyes, then Harry pulled me to him.

"Come on. You don't need to see this." I hid my face against his shoulder to catch my tears with his shirt as he led me through the front door.

"So who's all in my Pack?" I sniffled, blinking away the tears. Once I was out of the direct line of my parents' arguing, I felt a little better.

"Izak, Shawn, Jonathen, Erin, Lexxi, and Daniah." He looked at me from the corner of his eye. His focus was still held elsewhere, as if waiting on something.

"Wait." I stopped him from moving with a hand to his chest. "Erin from the party?"

"The one and only!" Erin walked from around the Escalade, his blonde hair perfectly gelled and quiffed.

"What the hell?"

"Hey! Language!" Another girl walked from where Erin once was.

"Calm your shit, Daniah. Nobody's a Saint, like you. Plus, she's the Alpha. She commands you, not the other way around. I'm Izak, by the way."

"I don't see why you guys didn't just take the sidewalk. She isn't all that special." Excuse me? A blonde haired, blue-eyed girl walked up to my house, dragging a boy in tow. He raised his hand to me.

"Hey. I'm Jonathen and... that's my sister, Lexxi." He motioned to the blonde girl with his thumb. Right as I opened my mouth to speak, I heard a loud boom and Harry moved quickly toward his car.

"Dude! My truck!"

"Sorry. I had to make an entrance. The name's Shawn." He gave me a wide smile, showing off his canines.

"Hey." I respond back.

"So, since I've technically seen you naked, I guess I'm the favorite?" Erin walked over and put his arm around me. I pushed him away and smiled playfully.

"I'm sorry, last time I checked you didn't see anything but shoulders. Plus, I don't have favorites."

"Hey!" Harry looked at me from his spot by his truck, where he was examining the area Shawn had just jumped on.

"You don't count." I smirked. I could see the Lexxi girl filing her nails, trying to ignore me.
What the fuck is her problem?

"So what's your first act as Alpha?" Jonathen says.

"Umm... how bout we all meet up somewhere and we can go through it all?"

"My place."

"Okay. We'll all meet up at Harry's house. You know the way?"

"Me and Erin do." Shawn motioned between him and Erin.

"Good. Meet us there." Harry and I climbed into his car. He griped about how Shawn was 'injuring his baby' the entire time we drove.



"So here's how this is gonna go. I know I have the power to boss you around and what not." After I got over my shock, I realized that being an Alpha was effing amazing!

"But I'm not going to." A few eyebrows raised. Lexxi stayed bored, filing her nails. Where she got that fingernail file from, I have no clue, and I have a feeling I don't want to know. I examined their faces lined up on Harry's couch.

"Why not?" Jonathen, I think, pipes up.

"Because I'm not gonna take away your free will. But I do want you to understand that I'm in charge. This, here, is mine. No exceptions." I eyed Lexxi and saw a little smile creep onto her mouth. I knew that little bitch had a problem. I didn't bother with Daniah. Anyone with eyes could tell her and Shawn were secretly dating. The way he always comforted her, subtly touching her and all that. I may be a tomboy but I'm still a girl.

"Second. I'd advise you all choose when your read other people's thoughts wisely. That is how we talk in our wolf forms, right?" Again, the guys raised their eyes as if surprised that I knew anything at all. I'm not dumb. I can connect the dots.

"Umm... yeah." Daniah said nervously, before shooting Shawn a few longing glances. I wonder when they'll "come out."

"Okay. And also, I'm not the type to get bitchy but I have a low tolerance for people. So don't irritate me." I gave Lexxi another look. I could already tell Lexxi and I wouldn't get along.

"Hey, is that it? I have something I gotta do." Shawn dusted himself as he stood up.

"Wait." Harry finally spoke up. "Where's Erin?" We all turned our heads as he came running downstairs with Gemma's underwear screaming.

"PANTY RAID!"
