Freedom

"Harry." Her voice was small.
"Sadie?" I whispered in her ear. My voice was deep and low.
"I-I..." She stuttered, her grip on my thumb tightening. I watched her chest rise and fall with every breath she took. "I think..." Her eyes opened slowly, taking in our image. I puller her closer to me, my arms around her still. She looked us up and down, her heartbeat increasing.
"I can feel your heartbeat." I murmured. She turned a light pink.
"Harry, I think I..." She stopped again. What was she going to say? I put my head back into her neck, kissing the soft skin. My lips lingered above her collar bone, soaking up her warmth, then I looked back up at her.

Sadies POV

His eyes were filled to the brim with love. Love, for me. I kept stuttering, and almost saying what I wanted too, but I just couldn't fully get it out. I gazed into his eyes, unable to look away. His hot breath hit my skin as he spoke.
"Please say it." He begged.
"I-I... I... Really... Really... Like you Harry." He let out a sigh.
"I really like you too, Sadie."
"But-" He stiffened. "I can't pursue these feelings." I finished, escaping his arms. I walked out, into the hallway.
"Why? Did I do something wrong?"
"You like the wrong person. I can't do this, any of it." I quickened my stride, hearing him following me.
"Why can't you?" He reached for my wrist but I pulled in forward, turning sharply and closing the door behind me. I locked the door and turned to face the stairs, leading to the basement. "Sadie!?" he pounded on the door above me as I descended. I didn't turn on any lights, so it was pitch black, but that's ok, I wanted to be dark and alone right now. I moved through the hall ways and rooms, almost like a maze. Harry's pounding and shouting was almost out of ear shot now.
"Poor Harry." I started taking to myself. "He doesn't know what he's falling for." No tears fell from my eyes, but still I felt like I was crying. I wish I would, just to let out some stress. I faintly heard the door click open, meaning he was down here with me.
"SADIE?" I heard him shout. I held my head in my hands, curled up in the fetal position. I just kinda sat there in a dark dark corner, all the way across the maze from Harry. "Sadie, please!" He yelled again, fear in his voice. I wonder if he turned the light over there on.
"Go away." I answered loudly, knowing he would never find me.
"Babe!"
"I'm not your babe." I said to myself, not wanting him to hear me again. I could now make out the sound of his feet on the wood floors, he is getting closer now.
"Come on, please Sadie." He pleaded once more before rounding the corner into the same room as me. I held my breath, not making a single sound. I watched intensely as he looked around blindly, not finding the light switch. He stared right at me, then moved out of the room. "Please." His voice cracked. I slowly stood up, avoiding any sound, and followed him, staying behind.
"Harry I'm sorry." He whirled around and sprinted to me, folding me in his arms so fast I thought he'd break me.
"Don't say sorry. Don't do it." Hot water fell on my neck, his tears.
"I really do like you Harry."
"Then why?" more tears fell on me.
"My job. My life. My history. My future." A tear fell from my eye.
"Sadie, please. You beat the shit out of me, and I still like you. I don't think any of that will be a problem." He laughed slightly. "And even ii fit is, we can work through it."
"Harry I still don't know what kind of a person you are."
"I'm a person who will never ever want to leave you." He kissed my lips, softly, and slowly. "You will never find a person who will love you more than I do."
