My arm was now in a proper sling, and I was now at home, waiting for whoever Gloria had called to show up. My arm was heavily sprained and bruised. Great. The door opened and someone walked in, looking around for me.
"I'm in here."
"Hey Sadie!" Harry came around the corner holding two bags. A fucking big fat-assed smirk plastered on his face when he saw me laying on the couch.
"Oh, hey Harry. How are you?"
"Pretty good, How about you?"
"Peachy. Guest room's down the hall to the right, just across from my room." pointed with my good arm.
"I know." He began walking. "I was really excited when Gloria called and asked me to take care of you." His voice came from the room. A small smile tugged at my lips. "I wasn't happy cause you were hurt, but absolutely thrilled that I got to spend more time with you." He came back in the room with me. "I was super bummed this morning when you wren't there, and again when I read your note." He frowned, facing me. "Where did you go?"
"Down to the cafe. I needed to get out." I shrugged, reaching for my glass of water.
"You like that cafe don't you?"
"Just a bit."
"Me too, so what do you want to do?"
"Be warm, watch TV, drink tea, eat salad, I don't know. Whatever." I grabbed the remote and started my adventure through Netflix again.
"Sounds good, I'll make tea." He left again. He didn't stop talking though. "I heard they put 'Love Actually' on Netflix, wanna watch that?"
"I was thinking about 'American Horror Story'."
"That's good too, as long as we can sit on the same couch together I'm good with whatever." I laughed.
"Ok, sure. Now get in here with my tea and cuddle buddy!" I joked. He immediately appeared at the end of the couch, putting down two mugs, and scooting me over gently. "wow, that was quick."
"I don't mess around when it comes to cuddling."
"Which is weird, considering you are a fighter."
"Yeah, well... Everyone has a side to them you wouldn't expect." He slid in behind me, resting his body comfortably before pulling me against his chest. "You comfortable?" He asked softly, his head on top of mine. I nuzzled in closer, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath.
"Perfect." He hummed a response into my hair, the vibrations sending shivers down my spine.
"This is scary." He mumbled, not even watching.
"Is not." I mumbled back.
"Is too."
"Is not."
"I'm just glad you'r here to keep me sane." He buried his head deeper into my hair.
"And if I wasn't?"
"I'd be watching 'Love Actually' by now, enjoying my tea, and eating chips."
"Oh, sorry."
"But I think I prefer this, with you, to that, without you." His words made my stomach feel like a cage of fireflies got set loose, and were flying all over my insides.
"I think I like this better too." I whispered softly.
