Halfway to my dressing room, someone jogged to catch up with my fast pace.
"Hey! Wait up!" they panted. I opened the door and stepped in, turning to close it. A foot jammed into the frame, stopping the door.
"What do you want? A rematch?" I asked, annoyed.
"No. I want to talk." Styles tried to pry open the door.
"And I wanna get home and take a bath." he pushed into the room.
"My names Harry. Harry styles." he outstretched his hand. I looked at it. And walked away, over to my sports bag.
"OK. Well. I'm eighteen, senior in high-school " He offered up more information. I smeared deodorant in my arm pits. He sat down on the couch.
"I like cats, my favorite colors are blue and orange." I whirled around.
"Do you want to know my life story? Would the make you happier? Fine. I'm seventeen, I'm a junior in high-school I hate it. I live alone. I like cats too. My favorite color is blue, like a sky blue, and my favorite food is a good salad. Happy?" he shrugged.
"More or less. Name? Why do you live alone?"
"My name is Sadie Parker. I live alone because my parents died during a match."
"like, a fight match?"
"Yeah. Back in Louisiana we owned a club, and they of themselves in fights occasionally. Then, dad lost. He died. Mom became depressed. She got sloppy. And she lost." I pulled a shirt over my sports bra, and sweats over my spandex.
"I'm sorry."
"No big deal. I got all the money." I tried to sound like I didn't care about them. He stood up as I walked to the door.
"Well why don't you and I-" I got out and walked down the hall, numerous wads of cash thrusted in my face, my winnings.
"Bye Ted!" I yelled, pushing through the people wanting to see me.
"Hey! Hold on!" harry came up behind me and held onto my shoulder till we were outside. I kept walking to my car, not wanting to talk.
"What do you want Harry?"
"Allow me to take you out to dinner. As friends." He kept his hand on the car door, making it near impossible for me to open. Like I said, near. I ripped it open and jumped in, the door slamming closed behind me. Before I could lock the doors, Harry climbed in the passenger seat.
"Right. Let's get you cleaned up before we go. Then we'll to to my house so I can clean up." I looked at him. Many thoughts crossing my mind.
"I hate to say it, but your persistence is kinda charming." I started the car as he laughed.

He talked the entire way to my house, not letting me talk. We walked up to my house and unlocked the door. Harry walked right in and sat on the couch while I went up to my room and showered. The cold water ran down my back, soothing my aches.

"Sadie? You've been in there for an hour. Are you OK " Harry called from outside the bathroom door.
"What the hell Harry!? Why are you in my room?" I yelled, slamming the water off and snatching my towel.
"I just wanted to make sure you were OK .." I sighed and pulled on my panties.
"OK. Well, you're in there now. Give me a minute." I clipped my bra and tugged my jeans up. I wiggled into my shirt, and slid the belt around me. I walked out and shoved my dirty clothes in the laundry hamper.
"You look great." Harry stood up and looked me up and down.
"Thanks. I need my boots." I flattened out on the floor and checked under my bed, pulling out one of my many pairs of boots.
"So. My place next. Want me to drive?" Harry helped me stand up.
"Oh, gentleman. Sure, you know where your house is." I yanked on my boots.



"Yeah, my place isn't near as nice as yours, but hey. It works." he held the door open for me.
"Thank you." I walked though the door, arms crossed. My boots clicked on the floor.
"So, give me a moment. I gotta clean up the blood." he smiled. Wow. This kid is one I just beat the crap out of, and here he is, taking me out to dinner. What am I doing?

I sat on the couch, crossing my legs. I hear water running through pipes, and relaxed. I began to think of why he would ask me to dinner. Was he trying to find my weakness? Off me while while we're both outside the club? Was he trying to get me to mentor him? He's older than me, I can't mentor him. Well, I could, because I have a higher rate of wins. I snapped out of my thoughts. Beautiful green eyes were right in front of me, watching... Waiting. I sprung into action and jabbed him in the sternum.
"God Sadie!" he fell down in front of me, catching his breath.
"How long were you there?!"
"Long enough." he choked out. "What would make you think I want to sabotage you?"
"Why else would you want to take me out to dinner?"
"Maybe I just want to get to know you!" he raised his voice, standing up.
"Nobody just wants to get to know me." I matched his tone, also standing. My height was just a quarter of an inch shorter than his. He balled his fists. I don't trust anyone. It runs with my family, and in my business. No one, absolutely no one, earns my trust. Not even family. That's why I don't have friends, or a boyfriend, never have, never will. Harry closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.

Him closing his eyes gave me the perfect escape. I quietly dashed for the door, silently slipping it open and racing out. I heard him call me back.
"Sadie! Come back! I just wanna-" I rounded into an alley and kept on running. I slid through a twelve inch gap between two buildings, and popped out in the other side, continuing to run till I was just behind my house. I sprinted up to the back door and unlocked it, turning around and locking it behind me. I closed the curtains and went upstairs, lying on my bed staring up at the ceiling. my thoughts were filled with Harry. I never linger in anyone, never. Never ever. I don't like people! But apparently he was different. It scared me. HE scared me.
