Ever since I was a young oblivious child, I dreamed of travelling the world and leaving my boring British life. Now, that I have finally turned eighteen, I am setting myself free and doing what I have longed for. And who else better to do it with than my two bestfriends Maggie and Luna. These girls have stuck with me all the way. They are older than me, but only by a couple of months. I'm a November baby. And they are January and March babies. They took me under there wings when I was lost and needed guidence. And they were the people that helped me when I fell pregnant and my family turned their backs on me. Along for the ride, came my boucing baby girl Logan. She is almost two years old. In a couple of days actually. I know that we will be on the road for her birthday, but we will make it special for her regardless!
Today is the day! I finally leave the little. old apartment with the three closest girls I have. I carried the many bags down the corridor and into the loungeroom where Luna jumped around happily and Maggie laughed at her.
It is three in the morning, but if we want to get a little travelling in there, we have to give ourselves some time!
"Okay! We ae ready to go! All I have to do is go get Logan and pack her backpack and then we can be on our way!" I laugh happily.
"YAY!" the girls laugh back.
I am wearing sweatpants with a jumper over the top with my hair in a loose fishtail braid with a 'DOPE' beanie flopped on my head. The girls are dressed similar in sweatpants and beanies. We are going to be on the road most of the time, no need to dress up! And we had on a small amount of makeup, just so we didn't look dead.
I walked down the corridor and open up my bedroom door what was dimly lit by a nightnight against the wall. On the other side of the room to my bed was a crib with the silhouette of my tiny two year old daughter. Smiling down at her, I grabbed her pillow pet, toys, ugg boots, jumper, sweatpants, her baby doll, blanky. She had her pacifier in her mouth and clung to her favourite teddy that she went everywhere with. I grabbed a few other things that we needs, like diapers and spare clothes and other various things. I zipped up her Blues Clues backpack and swung it over my shoulder before gently picking up my sleeping baby and walking down the hallway to the girls who were already packing our van with all the bags and everything. Our big things were getting shipped over to us since we couldn't take all of it on a plane with us! Maggie was in the kitchen grabbing all the boxes of cereal cause she would die without them. I walk out of the front door, met with the chilly london air and walking to our mini van that was parked in front of our apartment. I opened the back door, placing Logan gently in her child car seat and buckled her up. I placed her backpack on the ground infront of her seat, along with my handbad.
I smiled in awe at my baby's beauty, gently pushing her chocolate brown curls off her face. She was perfect. She was my world. And I couldn't imagine my life without her.
"She looks just like you" Maggie hugged me from behind.
I giggled, turning around and laughing, "Yeah yeah. Just watch my child while I help pack the car!"
She laughed before leaning up against the car. It was still quite dark out, but we are in a safe city.
I grabbed the last few bags and various things, helping to pack them into the car and then we closed the back door and said goodbye to the flat.
The three of us stood infront of the flat before we turned to each other. "Ready?", Luna asked, all excited.
"REAAADDDYYY!", We all laugh before Maggie climbs into the drivers seat with Luna riding shotgun. I sat in the back with my daughter. I slammed closed the door just as Maggies started the engine and turned on the radio.
"Best Song Ever' by One Direction started playing and we sang and danced along quietly, letting Logan sleep.
So, we don't really know where we are going. We had lived on the outskirts of London. And it took us a while to drive through. We wanted to pass the london eye because Logan loved it when it was all lit up and so did we.
"Oh Oh! I have to stop and take some pictures! It looks amazing when it is all lit up!" I say.
Okay, so I am a bit of a photographer. I'm not a professional or anything, but I am a bit creative. My job is modelling. And that is the whole reason we are going to New York. For that very reason.
The girls laughed and we pulled into a parking spot. I turned to my snoring baby and pressed my lips to her forehead. "Logan baby. Wake up, I have a surprise for you" I whisper gently as a patted her arm.
Her eyeslids fluttered open, revealing her sparking greeny-blue eyes. Her mouth formed an 'o' shape as she let out a tiny little yawn. "Mwumma" she whispered softly.
"Baby, I have a surprise for you" I smile.
"Swurpwise mwumma?" she asked, sitting up a little.
"Yeah, look over there Logan" I smile pointing out her window as we could see the london eye from a distance.
"It thwe bwig rwide!" she gasped happily, clapping her hands.
I unbuckled her from her seat and helped her put on her UGG boots and a jumper with a hood. I grabbed the matching beanie to mine and slipped it on her head before placing the hood over her head too. She giggled happily, suddenly seeming wide awake. It was almost four. I placed Logan against my hip as we locked up the car and walked toward the London Eye.
I had my camera and my iPhone 5. I was ready to take some amazing photos.
We walked unil we came to the aisle of amazing lit up trees and the big London Eye. Smiling, I put the beaming Logan down as she stared in awe at the pretty lights. I grabbed out my phone, taking a few little shots of the lovely scenery. I pulled out my camera and took a few on that before Luna took a photo of me and Logan smiling with her polaroid because I had left mine in the van.
"Say goodbye to the pretty London Eye because we might not see it for a little while" I bend down and whisper into my two year olds ear. She turned to me with a confused face. But it then lit up when she realised that we were going on our road trip.
"Rwoad Twip! Rwoad Twip!" She giggled loudly, clapping her hands. She then stopped laughing and curled her tiny arms around my legs whilst looking up at me, "Will we come back mwumma?"smiled down at my baby before picking her up and hiking her on my hip.
"One day Logan. One day" I sigh before I tell her to wave goodbye to the big eye before we made out way back to the car. I buckled Logan back in before we all climbed in and started driving again.
Luna put a CD into the radio and I immdiately recognised the song as What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction.
"One Dwecton! One Dwecton!" Logan shouted loudly while jumping in her seat. Luna turned it up and we sung loudly to the words, also dancing.
After a couple of hours, it was around 6:30 and we were all dying for some food. Logan had been complaining for half an hour and we only just reached the closes McDonalds. We drove through the drive through and ordered HEAPS of food.
"Um hi! Can I please get 10 hashbrowns, three Mcmuffin burgers, two batches of pancakes with maple syrup, three sweet chilly chicken wraps, two large chocolate thickshakes, One large orange juice and one small apple juice please?" Maggie said in her sassy tone.
"Um...ookkaaayyy?... " the guy laughed awkwardly and Maggie handed over the money. We drove to the next window where they gave us the food.
Don't ask me why Maggie ordered that much, but if we weren't going to eat until lunch again, we needed to fill up.
"Before we start eating, I should prabably get Logan changed and go to the bathroom", I say.
The girls agree and we all climb out, leaving the food in there while the four of us went inside McDonalds to use the bathroom. I sat Logan up on the baby change table, helping her lay on her back as I took off her UGGs, pajama pants, hoodie and pajama button up long sleeve shirt along with her beanie. I changed her diaper, realising that she had been a good girl and only done a number 1 in them and not a 2. That may change after she digests her breakfast though...
I changed her into a clean diaper and into some cute little sweatpants that Luna got her. They had 'I'm a cutie' up the front of the leg. I put some warm fuzzy socks on and tucked her sweatpants into her UGG boots. I got out a skivvy and helped Logan into it, then placing her jumper on and her beanie. I quickly went to the bathroom while Luna looked after Logan.
After we were done, we went back out to the car and sat comfortably. Maggie handed me a fome container of pancakes. I cut them up into small pieces before giving them to my daughter as she shovelled them down. I ate my burger and wrap. Logan sipped from her apple juice silently as the three of us chatted about a whole lot of nothing. The chocolate thickshake was very good and Logan decided that she wanted some after she finished her drink.
"Me swome mwumma?" she tugged on the sleeve of my jumper. I looked down at her before smiling and nodding.
"Just one sip", I say and my baby nods, signalling that she understood. I handed her the large shake and watched as she took the straw into her mouth and took a small sip. She sneakily took another, this time much bigger before giggling and handing it back to me.
"I said one you cheeky little monkey", I say before poking her tummy, making her harmonic giggle ring through the car.
"Mwu-Mwumma stwop!" She giggled cutely.
Maggie handed over four hashbrowns for Logan and I. Logan decided that she would have three of them and leave me with one.
I didn't mind though.
Soon enough, we were on our way. Back on the road.
You are probably wondering what we are doing.
WELL, we have booked a flight to the USA in three days, which was the closest available time. So in the mean time, we are just travelling around England, just for an adventure.
It will be an awfully big adventure.
