I Survived

Chapter 34

“I’m beat.” I breathed a sigh of relief as I flopped down onto one of the sofas in the front lounge where the other boys were.

“Your beat? You made me carry all your shopping.” Harry whined joining us all in the lounge.

“I thought you were a man.” I smirked at him as he rubbed his sore arms.

“I am, but did your really need all this?”

“It’s not all for me.” I grinned as I placed the bags onto the floor.

“What did you buy?” Niall asked as his head was already intruding the bags.

“Just some essential stuff.”

“Where’s my food.” He moaned, faking a frown.

“Don’t worry, I didn’t forget you.” I replied, patting his head like a dog. “Here you go.” I shimmed as I revealed a massive bag of cotton candy from one of the bags.

“Nice one Natasha.” Zayn commented with a subtle smirk on his face.

“What?”

“That boys is never going to sleep now.” He chuckled.

“I’m sure I’ll survive.” Niall joked as he tore apart the fluffy sugar with his teeth.

“I can’t believe it’s dark outside.” I mused as I stared out the window.

“I can’t believe you were gone all day.” Louis commented.

“Aww, did you miss me?” Harry grinned as he hopped onto Louis’ lap causing him to groan in pain-

“Not you.” He replied swatting his head before winking at me. He was giving me all the sign he liked me but he could just be leading me round in circles.

“So what did you guys do today?” I questioned.

“Sleep.” Zayn replied.

“Slept some more.” Liam added.

“And more sleep.” Niall concluded.

“Sounds like you had fun.” I jested.

“I didn’t realize how tired I was.” Louis responded.

“I’m knackered.” I yawned, spreading my hand across my face.

“You can’t be tired yet.” Louis replied.

“And why not?” I questioned, sitting up properly to look at him.

“I have something to show you.” He smirked. “Move it fatty.” He laughed as he pushed Harry of his lap.

“No goodnight kiss for you tonight!” Harry scolded him as he pulled himself up onto the seat which was recently occupied by Louis.

“I’ll survive. C’mon on.” He ushered me to follow him.

“Where are we going?” I asked as he walked towards the exit.

“Not far.” He replied vaguely.

“Right…” I replied hesitantly.

“Trust me.”

“Do I have a choice?” I asked, raising my eyebrows up at him as we walked along the bus and stopped at the back.

“Nope.”

“I’m sort of confused…” I retorted, spinning slowly around, there was nothing here. “We’re at the back at of the bus…”

“Yep.”

“Okay…” I skeptically answered.

“I’m kidding, the surprise is up here.”

“Surprise?” I questioned as I watched him climb the ladder to the roof of the bus.

“You don’t get to find out what it is unless you come up here!” He shouted down to me as he stood on the edge, waiting for me to ascend.

“Fine.” I muttered as I grabbed hold of the ladder and slowly but safely hoisted myself up.

“Slow coach.” He teased when I reached the top.

“I was being safe!” I defended as he took my hand and pulled me to my feet properly. “Thanks.”

“No problem m’lady.” He chuckled in an eccentric British accent.

“I don’t see anything…” I admitted, looking all around as we stood in the middle of the roof.

“Look around.” He replied, joining me at my side. “Look at the stars, the city, it’s beautiful isn’t it?”

“Yeah, it actually is.” I responded as I smiled up at him.

“Just like you.” He winked, I could feel the heat instantly rising in my cheeks. “You know… even though it’s dark your cheeks stand out.” He chuckled as he placed his hand on one.

“Louis.” I winked, cringing at his words as I squeezed my eye shut.

“I love doing that to you.” He admitted.

“What is that?” I asked, tilting my head like a confused dog.

“Music.” He sarcastically replied, I rolled my eyes at him in response. “I can see you doing that still in the dark too.” He joked. I chuckled at him as my body ever so slightly swayed with the music. “May I have this dance?” He questioned, bending over asking for my hand.

“Louis?” I enquired suspiciously.

“You mean you’ve never danced on top of a tour bus before?” He laughed as he grabbed my hand without my response, his other hand found it’s way to my lower back.

“Apparently not.” I grinned. His hand released itself form mine, at first I thought he was letting go but it met his other one around my back, pulling me even closer. My arms were dandling aimlessly and slightly awkwardly.

“You’re supposed to put them around my neck.” He whispered into my ear as if he could read my thoughts.

“I was getting there.” I smirked as I placed my arms around his neck. We began swaying, silently but not awkwardly to the music creating the perfect atmosphere.

“So did you have fun today?”

“Yeah, I went to a few places I haven’t been in a while.”

“That’s good, Harry get noticed at all?”

“A couple times, mostly at dinner. He insisted on going to McDonalds.”

“That boy and his chicken nuggets.” He joked, his face was ever so close to mine, his hot breath was lurching on my lips, I was mentally begging for it to be against my lips.

“Did you have a good day?”

“Yeah, I didn’t realize how tired I was.”

“What do you expect when you preform for two hours every night.”

“I know, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.” He smiled sincerely. “Can you remember the first time we met we said we couldn’t stand to be around each other, even only after a couple hours drifting on a door.”

“I remember that well.” I laughed. “You started to panic when I swam off.”

“I did not!” He gasped.

“Sure…” I winked.

“Anyway, do you remember that time we were sat on the beach and saw a shooting star?”

“You remember that?”

“What did you wish for?” He asked, ignoring my question.

“I’ll tell you when it comes true.” I admitted as I bit my lip, my wish was farfetched but I wouldn’t ever give up hope.

“Well mine may come true soon.”

“How so?”

“Natasha, how long have we known each other?”

“I guess properly, a couple of weeks?” I asked rhetorically.

“And over those few weeks I’ve learned something-“

“What?” I questioned as our swaying began to get even slower.

“Fate is real.”

“What do you mean.”

“I believe it’s fate we met on the door and it’s fate we met again.” My mouth parted slightly hearing his words, I didn’t know how to respond. “There’s something about you, I thought I was over you when Kendall came along, I guess she didn’t make a very good fall back girl.” He chuckled lightly.

“I was the girl you were trying to get over?”

“I guess I never did.” He sighed, still not averting his gaze. I gave him a quizzical look. “Like you said, a couple of weeks isn’t long enough for some people but it’s long enough for me.”

“Louis-”

“Natasha, I don’t’ care what anyone else says, I can’t help how I feel for you. My heart skips a beat whenever someone mentions your name or every word you say. Half of the time I can’t keep my eyes off you.” He smirked. “I know I just split up with Kendall, or should I say the devil in cheap Prada.” He joked. “But I can’t get over someone if I never felt something for them in the first place.” My heart and stomach were going summersets listening to his words, I couldn’t have dreamt a more perfect moment. “This questioned has been running through my mind for a while, I’m not afraid to admit I’m nervous.” He continued as he let out an uneasy laugh.

“I won’t bite.” I grinned, finding my voice for the first time in a while.

“Natasha, will you be my girlfriend?” He finally said after a couple of second of silence. The words flowed through my ears freely and elegantly, I could barely even hear the music or city traffic as the words circulated though my brain over and over again. I was enjoying the moment, taking in everything, right now things seemed perfect. My life was far from picture perfect but every step in the right direction was on the way to putting it back on the right track.

“You wouldn’t believe how long I’ve waited for you to say that.” I grinned, biting my lip to stop myself from looking crazy.

“Is that a yes?”

“I’d love to be your girlfriend.” I concluded.

“Good.” He grinned as he closed the distance between our faces, His lips were beginning to familiarize themselves with mine, but each kiss was different. It had a special spark of it’s own. I opened my mouth as his tongue begged for entry. I could taste the subtleness of cherries form what I assumed was ice cream he must have devoured earlier, it was delectable. For once the kiss didn’t seen hungry for more or desperate in case we wouldn’t be able to do it again, it was full of passion and it was everything I had ever wanted.
