LIVS POV

after mark and I were done laughing, marcel pretty much lost it.

"What the hell is so funny" he wined and flopped down in a seat in defeat.

"Im sorry, Mark was just being...well...mark" I tried to explain

he sighed and looked down

"will you go to prom with me" he asked and I was completely in shock

"b- but I don't even know you" I exclaimed

"I know but I want to get to know you better" he said

"fine" I said and he got up and hugged me.

it was rather uncomfortable being hugged by a stranger, I awkwardly patted his back and he went to get his lunch.

he came back 5 minutes later and sat across form me.

"so do you know what color dress you're gonna wear" he asked

"probably blue" I said

"dark blue?" he questioned

"yeah" and he smiled

"that would look beautiful" he said and smiled

I have to be honest, im scared. I don't want to get too close to marcel for fear of my walls coming down. I don't want to get hurt again.

"uh I have to go talk to mark" I said and pulled mark out of the cafeteria

"Mark im scared" I said and he understood

"if you don't want to get close then don't" he said

Mark is the only guy who never hurt me. He is the only guy within my walls and he knows that.

"its not that easy mark" I said

"its ok, I promise nothing will happen to you" he said and pulled me into a bone crushing hug

he held onto my hand like his life depended on it and put his forehead against mine.

I looked over and saw marcel with a pained look on his face just as he turned away and started walking.
