*****Louis’s POV

You know I had always thought the best of the things, but not with this. How could you think the best of something when you’re the cause a not newborn’s death. The day she was going to bring a child into the world, the moment she was given the signal, it was taken away from her.

To feel so much guilt, is unbearable. I can’t seem to not think back, and regret doing what I was doing. Why wasn’t I thinking, it was all my fault for, if I had paid an ounce of attention, I would’ve had the brains to concentrate on the road, and getting her to a hospital safely.

I remember after waking up out of my induced coma, the nurses had informed me on how long I was out, but I was more concerned on Lia’s well being.

After much persuasion, they gave in telling me that, Lia was getting better, but the baby had failed to make it.

My heart went out for her, and after another week of being banned from her room, we were finally allowed to see each other. Well “technically”. We were being flown to London, which was a little off Holmes Chapel. The lads, and the girls could visit us, or visit me, if she allowed it.

Lia hasn’t been well, and I know she didn’t ban only me. She banned all the boys, but beside that…she’s just not been herself. Nurses, family members, have all flown in, coming to see her, and not one word uttered from her mouth. She stayed silent, daring not to make eye contact, being forced food, sometimes not even fed.

Lia needs care, and if standing by her side for 1000 years until she’s better, I will.

After getting the silent-avoiding you treatment from Lia, i stopped badgering her so much.

I had come to the conclusion that letting her have a little time with the therapist, might loosen her up.

The lads, and all the girls would be driving down today. And Lia hasn’t banned any of the boys, so it’ll be Harry’s first time seeing Lia after her abrupt departure.

He was broken, and blamed himself for the most part, but knowing that she was back here was something different.

Lia hasn’t made much of an improvement, but I know that if he’s here she will, and in due time she’ll speak.

I don’t think I’ll tell him about Rose, but maybe she will eventually…Time will tell.

I was snapped out of my thoughts, as El made a high pitched shriek.

“LOUIS BABY I’VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH” I gave her a shy smile, for I was more concerned about Lia. Yeah I did love Elli, but in all honestly…my thoughts were
tangled up. I tried acting as normal as possible as all the other lads clambered into the room.

Bear hugs, and loads of junk.

“I brought you Nandos…but the boys insisted I buy two orders…they hid yours away from me…But I wasn’t that hungry…all the boys think I do is eat! I don’t!” He crossed his arms, and gave them a stern look.

The girls just gave me nervous glances hoping that Lia hadn’t banned them from her room.

“So we have stuff for Lia..We’d like you to come with us…If she allows us in.”

“She hasn’t said a word yet, but she hasn’t banned any of you…So…give me a second” I held on the side railing of the bed, as I lifted each leg out of the bed. I gave the boys a small nod, reassuring them I was fine. The accident took a big toll on my legs, but I was told I was making great improvement.

As I can only walk at a somewhat normal pace, I stood up slowly, gaining balance, as the gang all followed behind.

I lightly knocked, and the nurse opened the door.

“Hi Louis! Glad you’re walking…You all can come on in…I’m trying to feed her but she’s refusing…I’ll stay here for a little more, and then ill head off…” She let us all in, gesturing to sit down at the seats beside Lia.

I glanced over at Harry who couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. He averted his eyes, trying to hold back “Allergies” as he calls them. But I knew seeing Lia in this state would definitely hurt him in some way.
