Harper's Island ***ON HOLD***
Summary
Chris Wakefield went on a killing spree and murdered a number of people before being killed by the island sheriff, Darren Mills. One of the victims was the sheriff's wife. After her death, Sheriff Mills sends his daughter, Stormy, to live with family in LA without allowing her to say goodbye to her friends, boyfriend, or even her aunt Christina or cousin Zayn.
Before her mother and friends were viciously murdered, Stormy was a bubbly, loving, sweet, loyal young girl. She was supposed to be enjoying her freshman year only worrying about boys, acne, and bitchy cheerleaders; but instead, she had to deal with the death of her mother and her father's downward spiral to the bottom of his liquor bottle.
While in LA, Stormy changed. She started drinking, smoking, and hanging out with people that you definitely wouldn't find on the front row at church. She started street fighting, and never lost, so obviously she knows how to hold her own. But she got bored with all of that, she misses her old friends and even her dad, even though she stills holds a grudge for making her leave the island.
Stormy decides to go back to Harper's Island to face her demons. She still feels uneasy about going back to the island where her mother was once murdered, but, she thinks its time to go back, seeing as she left the island the middle of her freshmen year, and senior year is about to start. Also, she's scared to see everyone that she left behind without being able to say her goodbye's. There was only one person she actually stayed in contact with and that was her best friend, Louis Tomlinson. They talked every day, video chat, but she never told him about the drinking, smoking, and the street fighting. She didn't want him to think differently of her or for him to be worried about her and tell her father.
So now Stormy Mills is going back to Harper's Island and this time she is determined to stay.
ATTENTION: This story is based off of a TV show I used to be obsessed with, Harper's Island. Some of the things that happen in the story are the same, but a lot of the events and relationships will differ drastically. All rights go to the person who created the TV series, Ari Schlossberg. I am in no way trying to copy his idea, I just really loved the show when it was on and I have literally watched the series 4 times on Netflix, so I decided why not make a fan-fiction about it? Also, I recommend that you watch the show, it's incredible, only if you like crime, mystery, violence, romance, drama, and death. My story with be a lot different from the show, so don't worry about spoiling the story by watching the show, because, like I said, it will differ drastically. Anyways, thanks and I hope you enjoy!
Characters
Ariana Dillard (Nickname Ari)
She is Stormy's bestfriend over every girl Stormy has ever met, although not over Louis. Ariana has known Stormy since they were born. She hasn't talked to Stormy since she let but she knows how close she was with her mother. She knows Stormy more than anyone (again besides Louis) so she knows that once she is ready, Stormy will return to the island. Dating Stormy's cousin Zayn Malik. They have been together since 5th grade, but they've been bestfriends since they were born. Very loud and outgoing. Her father is Stormy's dad, Sheriff Mills, partner; Sheriff Dillard.
Bear (Stormy sometimes calls him B)
Stormy's dog, that looks like it is a full bred wolf. She doesn't know exactly what kind of dog he is, so he might actually be a wolf. He's very playful but also very protective of Stormy. She took him to LA with her because he follows her around, literally; the shower, the kitchen, her room. He would probably follow her to school if she didn't shut the door before he got out.
Chris Wakefield
Everyone calls him by his last name; Wakefield. He is the one who killed all the people. His reasoning behind the murders will be revealed throughout the story, little by little. Very twisted man, doesn't have a heart, and feels no remorse for his actions. Was killed by Sheriff Mills.
Christina Mills (Stormy calls her aunt Chris or aunty C)
Christina is Zayn's mother, Stormy's aunt, and Sheriff Mill's (Darren) sister. She helped get her brother back on the right track, and made him realize that his wife would have wanted that life for him. She and Stormy are extremely close, she is like a mom figure for her to look up to. Sercretly dating Sheriff Dillard, (Chance) Arianas dad. Doesn't want to tell Zayn because it is his girlfriend's father.
Daniel Pierce (Nickname Danny)
Harry's best friend. Doesn't quite like Stormy for leaving Harry and not saying goodbye, only because he doesn't know that her father made her. He is dating Melanie, and has been for the past 5 years. Graduated from highschool and is a boat hand on the dock with Harry.
Destiny Walker (Nickname is Des or Dessy)
Destiny has been dating Liam Payne since freshmen yr of highschool. She's very kind hearted, bubbly, helpful, loyal, and beautiful. She loves Liam very much. She was friends with Stormy before she left, but not as close to her as everyone else was.
Harry Styles (Nickname Haz or Hazza)
Harry was Stormy's boyfriend until she left the island. When she left he changed, he wasn't as happy as he used to be, he always felt like a part of him was missing; as cheesey as it sounds. Harry knew how her mothers death affected her father, so he figured that it was his idea to make her leave the island. He hasn't dated anyone since Stormy, he still has hope that she'll come back one day. He is also about to start his senior year of highschool, but when he's not at schools he's a boat hand down at the docks.
Katey Star (Nickname Kat) (Stormy calls her Kit Kat)
Katey's mother was also a victim of Chris Wakefield. She was just like Stormy before her mom died, she was happy, bubbly, always smiling, never put anyone down. But now, she's gotten tattoos, drinks, and smokes to forget the pain. She's dating Niall because she feels like he understands her and why she is the way she is. She somewhat evnies Stormy in a way, probably because they both lost their mothers. Doesn't believe that Wakefield is actually dead, and thinks that he still has things in store for the people of the island.
Liam Payne (Nickname Li)
Liam is dating Destiny. He really loves her, and would do anything for her. He was very close to Stormy before she left. Was angry at first about her leaving without telling anyone but soon came to the realization that her mother being murdered probably put a lot of sadness and stress on her.
Louis Tomlinson (Nickname Lou)
Louis is Stormy's best friend over every single person she has ever met, including Ariana. He is the only person who has been in contact with Stormy since she left. Stormy doesn't tell him everything, but he can't help but feel like she is leaving things out about her life in LA. Been dating Tiffany on and off since the end of freshmen year. He thinks Tiffany is cool at times, but he just doesn't like her as a person all in all.
Melanie Cross (Pronounced like Melony) (Nickname Mel) (Stormy calls her Melly)
She is graduated and runs the only bar on the island. She has always been like a big sister to Stormy. She has visited Stormy but everyone thinks that she went to Boston to visit family. Dating Daniel, and always tries to explain why Stormy left the island. Loves Stormy so much.
Niall Payne (Stormy calls him Ni)
Niall is Liam's younger brother, but he is nothing like Liam. He has tattoos and piercings, he smokes and drinks. Stormy is really the only person who talks to Niall, other than Katey. Stormy doesn't judge him on his appearance, because that's not how she is. Niall is dating Katey, he understands her and she understands him. He really isn't a bad guy, people just misjudge him because of the way he looks. Was sad when Stormy left because she was the only one who was nice to him.
Sheriff Mills (Darren)
Stormy's father. Very protective of her, would give his life to save her. After the murder of his wife, he blamed himself for not being able to protect his wife and the others who fell victim to Wakefield's merciless wrath. He started drinking and stopped working, and he decided it was best for Stormy to go stay with family in LA. After she left he stayed in the house drinking, the only time he would leave the house was to get food and more to drink. After a while of the same cycle of waking up, drinking, eating, drinking, and going back to sleep his sister, Christina Mills, finally knocked some sense into him. He cleaned up his act, got his job back, and decided he wasn't going to let Wakefield ruin his life, that was not want his wife would have wanted.
Sheriff Mills (First name Chance)
Ariana's father, loves her very much, which is why it's very hard to hide that he is dating her boyfriend's mother. He is Sheriff Mills' partner on the police force. He is the only person who really knows what really happened the night Sheriff Mills killed Wakefield. Very protective over Ariana, but is very layed back and goes with the flow.
Stormy Mills (Nickname Storm)
(Main Character) Stormy's mother was murdered on the island by Wakefield. After her death, her father, the sheriff, sent her to live in LA with family. She wasn't able to say goodbye to any of her friends or her boyfriend, Harry Styles. While in LA she changed from the bubbly, loving, loyal, happy young girl to a drinking, smoking, street fighting bad ass. But now she's returning to Harper's Island to face her demons.
Tiffany Grant (Nickname Tif)
Hates Stormy. They never got along before she left the island. Been dating Louis on and off since the end of freshman year after Stormy left. She is a real snob, she only cares about herself and her appearance. She is a bitch, and her reasons for dating Louis are not good ones. Wants Harry.
Zayn Mills (Stormy calls him Z)
Stormy's cousin. He's dating Ariana Dillard, and they are the type of couple that will be together forever. He helped his mom get his uncle - Stormy's dad - back on the right track. Misses Stormy everyday. Best friends with Louis. Very mysterious, broody, but very loving, caring, and helpful.
