Just can't let her go
Chapter 11
Haley's POV
"What happened to your hand?" I ask Harry as he sits next to me in Math. He rubs his knuckles and frowns.
"Um, I cut it on some glass." He says ending the conversation.
We finish class and we walk to lunch. As we walk down the hallway I see Sam at her locker. I squeeze Harrys hand and kiss him on the cheek.
"I need to go talk to Sam. See you at lunch," I say. He nods and hurries down the hallway towards the cafeteria. I take a deep breath and walk over to Sam.
"Hey, can we talk?" I ask her. She hesistates then nods.
"I just wanted to say I've been a bitch lately. I guess being with Harry has made me a little different. I should have never ignored you." I say biting my bottom lip. Even thought I'm sucking up, it's all true. Being involved with Harry has made me ignore my old friends.
She smiles. "I'm sorry too. I guess I over reacted about you being with Harry. It's just, you two are so different and he is changing you to be like him."
"I will always be your friend." I say hugging her. She hugs me back and I'm glad that we are good now. She pulls away then gives me a worried look.
"I should have told you this earlier but me and Niall are kind of dating," She says quickly.
"Oh okay. Well I'm glad you found someone." I say still suprised.
"What? You aren't mad?" She asks stunned.
I shake my head. "A little but I realized you can date anyone you want."
She smiles and pulls me into another hug. "I didn't want Harry to tell you and then you get mad at me."
"Wait. Harry knew about this?" I ask. I'm more mad at Harry than I am at Sam. I can't believe he didn't tell me.
"I don't want to mess up your relationship. I'm sorry." She says.
"It's fine. Why don't we go to lunch?" I suggest.
I grab my lunch and sit next to Sam. I look across the room and see Harry looking at me confused. All of my old friends greet me when I sit down.
"Haley! It's about damn time you came back." Jack smiles. Everyone agrees and we talk about what has happened.
"Haley?" I hear a husky voice say behind me. I don't look over my shoulder but I can tell it's Harry.
"What?" I snap.
"Can we talk?" He asks in a soft voice. I turn back to my friends and continue talking. The person beside me gets up and is replaced by Harry. Everyone around the table gets up and leaves except for Sam.
"Sam can we talk alone?" Harry asks clenching his teeth.
"No. Whatever you say to her you can say to me," She smiles.
I turn to Sam. "It's fine. But thanks."
She nods and gets up and moves beside Niall. I turn toward Harry.
"What is the matter with you?" He asks.
"Well I just found out my boyfriend knew about Niall and Sam." I say sarcastically.
He frowns. "I found out last night. And I was going to tell you but I didn't want you to be mad at Sam again."
"Next time you find something else about my friend, how about mention it to me." I get up and he grabs my wrist.
"I'm sorry I was watching out for you!"
"What else haven't you told me?" I ask crossing my arms. By now the whole cafeteria is looking at us but I don't care.
He sighs and takes my hand. "When I went to the party, we were playing truth or dare and Niall dared me to kiss this girl. Then she showed up at our date and I got really mad."
"Are you serious? You cheated on me with some whore? Unbelievable." I storm out of the cafeteria and out into the parking lot. I start my car just in time to see Harry running out of the building. I speed away leaving him in the dust.
