Chapter 30
I didn't know what to think. I just sat there. Everyone was watching me to see what i would do next. I lifted my eyes to meet theirs. I shook my head and let out a frustrated sigh. "You want to adopt me, but i don't know you. You want me to be in your family, but i already have one. You want me back, but how do i know its not for fame? You say you love me, but what if you don't? You say your my parents, but what if Natalia put you up to this?" They didn't answer. I continued, "Now i have no place to live . Im not staying with Jessica and i cant stay with the boys. By setting this up you ruined everything." I stood up and went back through the door. I looked around. There was an EXIT sign t my left so i followed it. I entered the door and when i came out I was outside. I did the only thing i could think of. I ran. More like sprinted. I don't know how long i was gone but i stopped and i was in the middle of a field. I stood swaying in the wind. Tears streaming down my face. Two hours ago i felt happy. Finally complete. I dropped to my knees. Lucky for me the grass was soft. The grass was tall and soft and plushy like a cloud. I laid down and let peaceful slumber overcome me.
When i awoke, I was in a bed. I jumped up startled. A woman walked into the room carrying a tray of breakfast. She was wearing a maids uniform. She handed it to me and opened the closet. Clothes were color coordinated. She motioned me to eat and then get dressed. I was cautious at first, but realized i was so hungry. I swallowed my last piece of bacon and walked to the closet. I walked down slowly to the stairs where i could hear people talking downstairs. Slowly i walked down stairs. Unsure if i should continue or go back to the room i was in. I decided to continue and found myself in a living room. The maid from earlier came into the room. "The masters will be down soon. They said to make your selves at home." I nodded and took a seat on the couch. I sat there for a while then i could hear people approaching. A man and a woman walked in. Then i recognized them. I stood up clenching my jaw. "WHY AM I HERE?" i yelled. Mom and dad stood in shock. "Emma living with One Direction isn't good for you. And now our family can be at peace." She smiled at me and i slapped her in the face. Her hand immediately went to her face. And dad pushed me on my bum. 'HOW DARE YOU SLAP YOUR MOTHER!" He put his arms around her and led her to the couch. I stood up and sprinted to the door that led outside. I was in the middle of the field that i was in last night. Only one thing was on my mind. I have to get out of here. mom and dad ran out after me. I ran as fast as i could. Now im glad that i used to do track. If i didn't, this would be really difficult. I reached a high way and saw someone who i would never be more happy to see. My manager Justin. I screamed his name and his eyes went wide. He pulled over and i got in his car and balled my eyes out. "J-Justin i need to go home." "Emma honey what happened. I was on my way to meet the boys at the studio to discuss your contract. Its overdue. Emma where have you been all this time?" I looked at him. "W-what do you mean all this time?" he laughed nervously. "Emma, you've been gone for a month." I gasped. "Justin call the boys and tell them to meet us at the hospital." And then i blacked out.
When i woke up i was in the hospital and there were police officers, Justin, One Direction, and nurses all around me. "EMMA!" the boys shouted. I smiled and hugged them. They had dry tear marks and Justin was talking to the police. "I don't know where she was i came to meet them at the recording studio and i saw Emma on the side of the road!" He explained. The police nodded and came over to me. "Hello Emma. Im officer Martin and if your feeling well enough, i would like you to answer some questions." I nodded and he continued. "Well i guess the most obvious one is where were you?" I sighed. "Im just going to tell you the entire story." He nodded allowing me to continue.
After i was done his notepad was full of information and one thing was for certain. My parents and Natalia were going to jail. But until then i would have to lay low.
ONE MONTH LATER
I was back living with the boys and still no sign of mom dad or Natalia. Wow doesn't that tell you something. They were working together. After i had been questioned, i passed out again and they ran some tests and i had been poisoned. AGAIN. this time, i didn't wake up when i was at my parents house. I had laid in that bed for an entire month. things had gotten better. The boys had finished the tour. We were relaxing at home when Louis burst through the front door and threw a newspaper on the coffee table. it said:
CULPRITS OF KIDNAPPING FOUND!
exactly one month ago, pop star Emma Direction was pronounced missing. She was found wandering the side of the high way in North London and was driven to the hospital where she was questioned about what happened. She claimed her birth parents kidnapped her and later on doctors found out she was poisoned and slept for a month. She is now safer than ever since her parents Amber and Josh Royce were found. Her other kidnapper Natalia Royce was also found and have their trial September 18th.
