I opened my eyes again and looked at the clock it was 10:45. Harry wasn’t in bed and I heard whispering in the kitchen.

“What if he comes over while no one is here and she is alone?” I heard Zayn ask.

“That is not gonna happen. I will not leave her here alone. I do not trust him whatsoever. I am already pissed he use to hit here while I couldn’t do anything. He is not gonna get anywhere near her while I can.” Harry said harshly.

“So, what? You aren’t gonna leave her side? Harry, she will know what you are doing. She isn’t stupid.” Liam said disapprovingly.

“Liam, I don’t care if she knows…” Harry started

“Then why are we having this conversation while she is sleeping? And why are we whispering?” Louis asked with a smart ass tone. I stopped a laugh from boiling over.

“Because… I don’t know. What would you all do if you were in my position?” Harry asked.

“You aren’t the only one in this position… Jackie still has her ex.” Niall stated.

“True… Still what do you guys think?” Harry asked again. I rolled my eyes and walked out from behind the wall.

“I think you need to learn I know how to take care of myself Harry.” I said shaking my head as I walked to the fridge and pulled out the orange juice. I grabbed a glass from the cupboard.

“Ara, that’s not what I meant…” Harry said ashamed.

“Harry, I know you want to protect me… but you won’t always be around to protect me. One you are getting famous and will have to start going on tours and things of that sort. You can’t have me by your side every minute of every day for the rest of your life.” I smiled at him as I poured my orange juice. He walked over to me and kissed me on my cheek and wrapped his arms around my waist.

“You may be right, but I will damn sure try.” He said into my ear. Janel then walked in.

“Hey, Ara, do you want to go shopping?” She asked. I looked at her.

“Sure just let me get dressed.” I said walking into the hall towards our room. She followed me in. She shut the door behind her.

“I don’t want to go shopping Ara… It’s my first check up.” She said looking down. I looked at her. She was so miserable. I walked over and hugged her.

“I am going with either way. You won’t be going through this alone. I promise you that.” I pulled away. I walked over to my bags and pulled out a couple things. I threw them on and slipped on a pair of vans. I walked over to her, laced my arm into hers, and we walked out the door, calling we love you to everyone. When we got to the lobby we asked the front desk to call us a cab. We waited outside and the cab finally came around. She got in the car and I got in after. She told him the name of the place we were going to. I could hear the remorse in her voice. My phone buzzed.

-Louis
Where are you guys?

-Ara
We are heading towards the market.

-Louis
Well we are gonna meet you guys there.

-Ara
No! We are planning a surprise. You can’t come.

-Louis
Who is it for?

-Ara
You..

-Louis
Why?

-Ara
Because we love you and want to show you that. Now stop texting.

I turned my phone off and put it in my back pocket. I looked over to Janel and she was sitting there looking at her hands that were in her lap. I squeezed her knee in a reassuring way. She looked up at me and smiled at me, but it didn’t meet her eyes. We got there and we went inside, signed her in and sat down.

*Harry’s POV*

“There is something going on.” Louis said pacing the floor. The rest of the girls had left to just have a girls day.

“Lou you are reading to much into it, mate.” Zayn said rolling his eyes.

“Just calm down. Nothing is going on.” Liam said soothingly.

“What do you think Harry?” Louis said looking at me.

“Oh… um… I think you are just overreacting is all.”

“Harry… What do you know?” Niall asked.

I looked at him. He was sitting directly across from me on the other couch.

“What do you mean? I don’t know anything.” I spoke hesitantly.

“You are a really bad liar, Harry.” Liam said.

“I do not know anything!” I said throwing my hands up.

They all gave me a skeptical look.

“If they were planning a surprise for me, wouldn’t all the girls have gone? Not just those two?” Louis asked.

They all stared at me again.

I sighed… What the hell am I suppose to do here…

“Okay… fine…” I began.

*Janel’s POV*
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I took it out and Louis’s name was on the caller I.D.

“Ara!” I said throwing the phone at her. She looked up with surprise then back down at the phone.

“Shit!” She said. She answered.

“Hello?” She said. I heard Louis on the other line.

“Calm down! I can’t hear you.” She listen some more then her eyes grew wide in disbelief.

“Harry did WHAT?” She yelled. I looked at her in shock. Did Harry know? Her face grew softer…

“Oh, yes… a puppy… that’s it.” She said into the receiver.

“We have to go Louis… We will talk to you when we get home.” She clicked the end button and handed it back to me. She inhaled deeply.

“What was that about?” I asked.

“Harry covered for us… though we may need to buy a puppy for Louis…” She stated.

“… Does Harry know?” I asked.

“Yes… the day you came and told me and he walked up. When he went inside, he was listening by the door.”

My eyes grew wide.

“Will he tell him?” I asked panicking.

“No, Harry swore to me he wouldn’t.”

“What do you mean we may need to by Louis a puppy?” I asked turning my head to the side.

“That was our cover. That we are buying him a puppy.” She said shaking her head.

“I wonder… how far along would this make me?” I sighed looking down at my tummy. I realized that there was a small bump already. I looked back up at Ara.

“I have a question though…” I asked looking back down.

“Anything.” She said easily.

“If… Louis doesn’t want it… can you take it…” I said. She gasped.

“What?”

“If Louis does not want the child… would you take care of it… if something were to happen to me?”

“Janel… are you asking me to be the godparent?”

“Yes.” I looked back up at her with pleading eyes. I knew if Louis wouldn’t stay with me after I told him… I would have no reason to go on… but I wanted to make sure more than anything… it would be taken care of. I knew that Ara would do everything in her power to take care of this child like it was her own… if something were to happen to me.

“Of course. I would do it.” I looked back up at her smiling face. I faked a small smile.

“Thank you.”

*Jackie’s POV*

“I need to tell you guys something.” Susan said to me and Gabi.

“Yes?” Gabi asked.

“I am going home in the next couple of days.” She said looking down.

“But we just got here!” I said surprised.

“Liam… and I got into a fight last night… I need to go away to think. It hurts a lot that I am doing this… But I have to.”

“What happened?” I asked.

“We’ll last night I had gone out after everyone had fallen asleep. I went and got a couple drinks, and came back to the hotel. I was a bit tipsy… and Liam was awake… We had started talking. Then Liam wanted to start talking about our future. Well… when the subject of marriage came up… I sort of told him… I never wanted to get married. When he asked why… I told him about how my parents had always fought… and I didn’t want that. He said we wouldn’t be like my parents… but I fought with him about it. Saying that I was so much like my mum, and he was so much like my dad, that there was no way we wouldn’t turn out like them.” She explained “He got angry and then asked why are we even gonna continue with this relationship… if we are just gonna wind up breaking up anyway…”

“Susan… that was a fight. You first one. You don’t need to leave the country because you had a small tiff.” Gabi stated.

“She’s right Susan. It’s just a small fight it will blow over I promise.” I said with a smile.

“I don’t care. I can’t be here while everyone else is having a good time and I feel like I am breaking inside.” She said frowning.

Gabi and I sighed knowing we won’t be able to get through to her. We walked to about 30 stores. Trying to have a good time. We failed miserably. So we all went back to the hotel.


*Ara’s POV*

“Janel Marie?” The nurse called. We got up and she led us to a room. Janel sat on the bed, and I sat on the chair. We waited in silence and finally the doctor came in

“Janel?” He asked.

“Yes.” She said nodding her head.

“Hello, I am Dr. Liddell. So you are here to have a pregnancy check up?” He said looking up from his papers.

She nodded again.

“Let’s get started shall we?” He hooked up the ultrasound and Janel lifted her shirt. The man squeezed some jelly onto her stomach and put the scanner thing to her stomach. He moved it all around her stomach and he was smiling.

“Do you know how far along you are?” He asked. She shook her head no.

“You are about 3 ½ weeks.” His smile grew bigger as he put it to the side of her stomach.

“Well, well, well. What do we have here?” He asked. Janel got a worried expression on her face.

“What? Is something wrong?” She asked hesitantly.

“No… I believe I see 2 heads here.” He said looking up at her.

“… I am having… twins?” She asked

“Yes. Congratulations.” He smiled. He took off his gloves, and put the machine away.

“Do you want the pictures?” He asked. She nodded not able to speak. He left the room.

“Janel, are you okay?” I asked putting my hand on her shoulder. She nodded still not speaking. When the doctor came in and gave her the pictures, she thanked him and we left.

*Louis’s POV*

I woke up in a daze. I had my arms around Janel. She was sound asleep. I gently got up, making sure not to wake her. I walked out of the room and into the bathroom. I took a quick piss and walked back out after washing my hands. I walked back into the room. I looked around and I saw Janel’s shorts on the floor. There was something shinning in the moonlight and I walked over and picked it up. It was a picture… An ultrasound picture… At the top it read

Marie babyx2 3.5 months

I gasped. I stood there staring at the picture of the two children. I couldn’t move. Soon I heard Janel moving around in the bed. She quickly got up and ran to the bathroom. I could hear her puking. That finalized it. She walked back in soon afterwards and saw me sitting on the floor.

“Babe?” She said hesitantly.

“You’re pregnant.” Was the only thing I could think of saying.

She gasped. I looked behind me to her. She had tears in her eyes.

“No… you can’t find out like this.” She fell to her knees, and began sobbing.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I screamed at her.

“I didn’t want to hear you say you didn’t want it.” She said in between sobs.

“… You thought… I was going to leave you? Over this?” I asked shocked.

“Your life is just starting! You are living your dream! What do you expect me to think?” She yelled.

I looked at her.

“I love you. I am not going to let you do this on your own! The only way we would break up is if you ended it. I love you and always will. You mean the world to me. I am not going to risk it.”

She looked up at me, with tears still streaming down her face.

“So… we are going to do this?” She asked.

I leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips.

“Together.” I said looking into her eyes.
