Just the Beard
|Chapter 6|
I follow behind Harry eagerly as we enter the room in the studio. I'm sort of excited to see the other boys. "Guuuuuuys!" I squeal when I spot the blonde haired cutie. I basically shove Harry out of the way, running to hug his other bandmates. Except when it came down to Louis, I wasn't too excited.
I offer Louis a small smile but he completely misses it, Harry being the apple of his eye. I shrug it off and walk over to Zayn and Liam as 'Larry' chats each other up.
"Hey, love bug." Liam teases. He's been calling me that for a while now. At one point, Harry used that as a nickname for me.
I laugh sarcastically and lightly punch his bicep. "Woah. Someone's been working out." I wiggle my eyebrows. Zayn looks at me as though I'm completely weird, which honestly, I am.
"I sure have. Been hittin' the gym every week." Liam explains, smirking.
I bet Sophia's happy. "So where are your girlfriends?" I ask curiously, looking over my surroundings again.
"Oh, none of ours are here. But Eleanor's here." Zayn informs. I smile widely. I love Eleanor.
"Where is she?" I ask eagerly with raised eyebrows.
"In the bathroom." He answers.
I nod in response and exit the room, walking down the hallway to the restroom. I knock on the door, waiting for an answer.
"Who is it?" Eleanor calls from behind the door.
"Destiny." I say happily.
Suddenly the door opens and she smiles, hugging me tightly.
"I've missed you!" She squeals, tugging on my arm and yanking me into the bathroom.
"Same here." I giggle, patting her shoulder.
"How's everything going with Harry?" She asks irrelevantly as she shuts the bathroom door.
I furrow my eyebrows slightly. "What? Nothing." I laugh awkwardly.
"You mean you haven't made any progress?" She raises her brows.
"Was I supposed to?" I giggle. "I mean, there isn't much progress I can make." I sigh quietly. "He's never gonna like me, El." I murmur.
"You don't know that, hun. With the way he acts with you, he could come off as liking you to anyone else." She shrugs, biting her bottom lip. "I think he's at least attracted to you."
I shake my head quickly. "No. We're best friends. That's why he acts the way he does. He doesn't feel the same way about me as I do about him." I start to chew on the inside of my cheek. That's a bad habit. I've gotta stop.
"Don't be so doubtful." She speaks. "Anything could happen."
It's silent for a moment before I speak again. "He'll never know."
"Unless you tell him."
"Nope." I say a little too quickly.
I don't even want Harry to find out how I feel about him. That'll just make things awkward between us. Not to mention, I'll be heartbroken, even though I already know he'd reject me. But maybe Eleanor's right. Anything could happen.
