Just the Beard
|Chapter 9|
Nearly an hour later, I walk upstairs to see if I could find Harry.
"Harry?" I call as I walk down Louis' hallway. I walk to the first door in the hall and twist the knob. I don't expect him to be in here so I just open the door. My eyes nearly bulge out of my head when I see Harry and Louis, sitting on Louis' bed, making out. Just utterly and completely indulged in the kiss.
My breath hitches in my throat and I quickly close the door, my heart pounding in my chest.
It's not like I didn't know Harry and Louis already did these type of things. But the thing is, I've never walked in on them doing those things. And to be honest, it hurt.
Harry's P O V
My lips detached from Louis' when I hear the door open. I look up, only catching Destiny's face for one second before the door closes.
"Shit." I murmur, glancing back at Louis.
"Who was that?" Louis asks quietly.
"Destiny." I bite my bottom lip.
"Sorry, I didn't lock the door." He says quietly.
I look at him, gently rubbing the side of his arm. "It's fine."
For some reason, I feel the need to check on Destiny. But I can't. Louis and I need some time together. This party only lasts for an hour more.
Destiny's P O V
I walk into a random guest room and close the door behind me. I drag myself over to the bed and fall on it, blankly staring up at the ceiling. I sigh deeply, running my fingers through my hair. My heart hurts right now. It's happened before but not like this. I actually seen what I knew was happening. It's a mind thing.
I swallow thickly as I close my eyes. It's only minutes when I drift off to sleep.
"Destiny." I hear a deep voice call my name, feeling my arm being shaken. My eyes flutter open and Harry and Louis stand above me.
"Are you okay?" Louis asks, raising his eyebrows.
I slowly sit up, pretending as though I don't hear Louis. I run my hands over my face in frustration as I get up from the bed. I walk past Louis and Harry, feeling one of them grab at my wrist. I don't know who. But I don't care. I quickly jerk my wrist away.
"Please don't do that." I snap, turning around, sternly looking at them both.
I see Harry's expression drop and Louis' a little annoyed. I turn around, walking out of the room and heading downstairs.
"What the hell is her problem?" Louis asks, frowning.
"She's probably tired and just ready to go. Come on." Harry mumbles, pecking his lips before leaving the room with him.
I quickly walk through the house, pushing through a few people. Am I angry? Am I disappointed? I don't know what I feel. I open the front door, walking outside and closing it behind me. I walk over to a bench that sits on the porch. I plop down on it, my face in my hands.
"You okay?" A sudden voice asks. That's Justin's voice. I know that voice anywhere.
I look up at him, slowly shaking my head.
He sighs and walks over to me, sitting down next to me. He gently rubs my back in circles.
"What happened, baby?" He asks softly.
Baby? Since when does he call me baby? That's new. But I don't think much of it.
I shake my head. "It's not important."
"Tell me." He insists.
It only takes that to get me to reveal what happened. "It was Harry and Louis. I walked in on them...kissing." I mumble, burying my face into his chest.
He sighs, continuing to rub my back. I love that he's comforting me. "You've gotta get over him." He almost whispers.
I don't say anything. I just sit there with my eyes closed and face buried into his chest.
"Destiny." I hear Harry's voice and I look up.
He walks over to us, playing with his fingers. "What's wrong?" He asks softly.
I just shake my head as I look up at him. "Nothing." I murmur.
"Well...if you're ready to go, we can—"
"I think I'm gonna stay at Justin's tonight." I interrupt.
"Oh..." Harry clears his throat. "Okay. Goodnight." He walks to me, leaning down. He attempts to kiss my cheek but I move my head, squeezing my eyes shut.
I refuse to let this go on anymore.
