Let's Be Alone Together

Tʜʀᴇᴇ

So, this little park-place, it's pretty empty, right? I didn't think there was anyone else there. I was just walking around, hands in my pockets, hoping that there weren't any paps around. There might have been, though. I just didn't know.
And frankly, I didn't care.
I was so deep in thought that I didn't notice the figure on a bench as I walked right in front of them. It was only when I gave the figure a second glance that my steps faltered.
It was her.
Her hands were in her lap, and her head was hung low, which caused her dark hair to tumble down in front of her chest. Once again, her gray hood was covering any facial features I could see. I stopped, not knowing how to approach her, really.
Her faded gray sweatshirt was frayed at the sleeves, and her worn jeans were slightly ripped at the calves. She wore simple but completely thrashed black combat boots. I didn't think those things could get thrashed.
So, with a voice at the back of my mind nagging me, I just stood there.

Mᴇʟᴏᴅʏ
I was just sitting there, minding my own business, looking at the ground at my feet, when I saw the same shiny new tennis shoes as earlier.
Well, crap. This was either really good or really bad.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him stop, and I could tell he was staring at me. I felt suddenly extremely self-conscious as he just stood there for at least a full minute and a half before I finally raised my head to look at him curiosity winning over.
The first thing I noticed was that he was wearing sunglasses, and a beanie. Little brown bits of hair stuck out from underneath the fabric. Everything on his persona seemed like it was new.
He was some famous person. The shades and beanie were a result of hiding from the paparazzi, I suppose. I can't tell you how many times I've heard them complain about the "paps".
I immediately wondered why he seemed so interested in me. I mean, I couldn't really see his eyes, so I couldn't tell what he was thinking, but... he wasn't moving, and his face was pointed in my direction...
Finally, I cleared my throat awkwardly and looked away, once again feeling embarrassed.
There was a second of silence before he spoke.
"Uh... Sorry. I just... have I seen you somewhere before?"
I almost rolled my eyes, but then I realized that I recognized that voice.
Well, shit. It was Louis Tomlinson.
I was silent, not really knowing how to reply.
"Maybe... can I have your name?"
I frowned, and then turned around to glance at him. He was raising his eyebrows curiously, attempting a smile. But... there was something off about the smile that I couldn't place.
"Um..." I muttered, "I have to go..." I got up suddenly, feeling the need to get out of there that wasn't there a second ago.
"But-"
"Don't you have an interview or something you have to get to?" I cut him off.
He hesitated, "Well... I could be a few minutes late."
Then I did roll my eyes. I turned around and began to walk away, not wanting anything to do with this guy. He didn't have anything to do with a job, or anything like that, so what did I care?
I swear I heard him say something behind me, but I was already gone, my mind occupied by other things.
