"I love you Haz," I said, my arms wrapped around my boyfriend's neck. I could sense the emotional instability between us as we realized the end of something we barely had.
"I love you too, Aly," he whispered in my ear. A tear trickled down my cheek at the sound of his words. This was a moment I would never forget.
He pulled me back and looked into my eyes, sternly as if conveying some unspoken message. My vision got blurry, filling itself up with the unwelcome tears. I didn't want to cry right now. I wanted to see Harry's face clearly for as long as I could before...
"Don't cry, please," he said, brushing his thumb across my cheek.
"I'm trying," I replied. My quivering voice was no good, either.
"Alyssa, this isn't goodbye. Goodbye means leaving, and I'm never going to leave you. I promised," Harry said, squeezing my hand.
I took in a deep breath, "Not goodbye," I repeated, "You'll always be with me, Harry. Right in the center of my heart,"
He smiled, "And same with me. Right here," he pulled my hand up to his chest and placed it gently where his heart was.
Harry looked at me, his eyes clearly showing his sadness. We stayed in each others grasps for a few seconds before he brought me in for a kiss. I would miss him so much. I couldn't believe this was actually coming to an end. I guess some wishes don't come true, after all.
