Am i good enough? (MA 18+)

“WOOOOOO!” All the graduate students cheered as they threw their hats in the air. I awkwardly stood there waiting for it all to be over. I am happy that I am finally finished out of this shit hole it was a complete nightmare but i know i will miss it someday.
After the ceremony was finished we went down to our families.
Mum and dad embraced me with warm hugs.
“Congratulations honey.” Mum gave me a kiss on the cheek
“We also have a gift for you hun.” Dad added after he kissed me on the cheek.
There was the beautiful Toyota Aurion with a beautifully made pink ribbon on top.I gasped,looking at mum and dad with shock.
I couldn't thank mum and dad enough. It was amazing my own car my own!
Dad handed me the keys luckily i got my license last month.

We headed home for some dinner with the family but my brother Jake was late, as always
I helped mum put out the plates and cutlery when the door bell rang.
“I will get it! “ I shouted
My brother Jake was standing there with flowers in his hand.
“Jakey !” I screamed jumping in his arms
“Sorry I could attend ceremony it is a 2 hour drive and you know how I am usually not on time..." He was looking at me so i can tell him off and be angry but no ones perfect.
“That’s alright mum and dad was there to fill your spot” I replied ruffling his hair.
At dinner the topics that came up were quite intense but the rest were fine I told them about what my next plans were and that I applied for an academics scholarship.
I am hoping to get it. It well really help me with the credit and future financial struggles.
After dinner was finished Jake headed back home even though I wanted him to stay.
I put the dishes in the dish washer then thanked mum for the amazing meal she prepared.
I changed into my jams and got ready for bed.
Just before I dozed off to sleep I closed my eyes and wish for the best of luck and a successful life.
