By Her Side
Chapter 1
I sat on my bed and heard my dad and mom yelling at each other. I sighed and put my head between my knees. Why are they always fighting? *Because your dads an alcoholic* my conscious butted in.
*Hey Clara what are you up too?* my best friend Niall texted me. *Nothing just listening to music.* *Are your parents fighting?* *Can you hear them again?* I always get complains of my parents fighting too loud. *Yeah come over I don't want you there.* I smiled at my phone.
I always had a crush on Niall and I was always happy when he asked me to come over. I opened my window and jumped outside.
Niall lived right next to me and I walked over. I knocked on the door and was greeted by Leatha, Harry's girlfriend. "Oh hi Leatha, is everyone over right now?" I asked a little embarrassed. "Yeah we were just laughing at your parents then Niall invited you." She laughed in my face. I started to get sad and annoyed. "Clara are you coming in?" Niall asked as he walked up to the door. "I don't know. I think I'm just gunna go back home." I said looking down. "Come in please your not safe at your house." He said holding my hand. I sighed and followed him inside.
All the boys and their girlfriends were sitting their. Zayn and Makenzie, Harry and Leatha, Louis and Claire, and Liam and Angelina. "Hey guys." I said quietly. "Hi love!" Liam greeted happily. "Hi!" The rest of the boys said smiling. Claire and Angelina waved at me with sympathetic looks. "Hey um Clara can I talk to you?" Makenzie asked me. I nodded and we went into the kitchen.
"Are you okay?" She asked as soon as no one could hear us. "Yeah. You could hear them fighting?" I asked. She shook her head yes. "I'm sorry. I should go back home you guys were hanging out and I'm just here out of pitty." I said looking down. "Hey, Leatha might not like you that much but the rest of us love you and Niall's happy when your around." She said lifting my chin. I smiled at her and hugged her. When we went back in the room the boys were making out with their girlfriends and Makenzie sat on Zayns lap. I looked at Niall awkwardly and he took me up to his room.
When we got up there he shut his door and I laid down on his bed. "Sorry bout Leatha." He said laying down with me. "I'm use to it." I said shrugging. Niall wrapped his arm around me and pulled me on my side looking at him. "Your beautiful." He said looking into my eyes. "Niall what are you doing?" I asked getting nervous. "Can I not cuddle with my best friend?" He asked. "Well i don't know.." I said getting very nervous.
He pulled me into his chest and closed his eyes. I heard him snoring softly and I cuddled closer to him. I put my hand to his chest and fisted his shirt. "Thank you Niall I love you so much." I whispered and fell asleep with him.
