It was about 5:30 now, and I would be picking up Lauren soon. I was stressing out extremely. Louis tried to calm me down, it only helped a little. How do you make your girlfriend remember you? It just doesn't make sense.
I tried pushing all thoughts behind me and focused on tonight. I took a quick look in the mirror to make sure I looked nice for her. I had on my famous black skinny jeans with my brown books, a white t-shirt and a black blazer over top. My usual casual yet fancy like outfit. I quickly shook my hair and sprayed myself with my Chanel cologne.
The second I stepped from the last step, Louis was right by me.
"Listen mate. Don't be nervous. She's still your same Lauren, she just doesn't remember you. But, that's not permanent. Just do what the doctor said, and she'll be yours again. Don't think too much." He said to me easing me slightly. I took a deep breath and nodded to him in return. I looked at the watch on my wrist to see it was 5:58. Let the date begin.
"Wait, Harry." Louis called to me before I opened the door.
"Yeah man?" I questioned him.
"Remember how you told me she doesn't remember your name?" I nodded in response. "Don't tell her. Let her figure it out yourself." That wouldn't be easy, but I guess it's worth a shot. I gave him a thumbs up and headed to Lauren's place with my keys in my hand.
I gave two quick knocks before a stunning blonde stood in the doorway. My eyes got wide as she stood there almost eye level with me since she was in heels.
"Hello." She smiled to me breaking me from my stare.
"Hello there gorgeous." I told her back. "Ready to go?" I asked putting my arm out to take. She nodded and took it as we walked to my Audi. I opened her door, then walked over to my side.
"So where are we going?" She asked me shyly playing with her fingers.
"It's a surprise." I said back to her with a smirk. I could see her cheeks turn a slight red making me a lot calmer than I was before. She's still the same Lauren I know. I pulled out of the driveway and headed to the restaurant we went to when I asked her out. Maybe that'll help spark her memory a little.
"So besides you being my neighbor, what do you do?" She asked me as we pulled down the road a little.
"Well, I'm a singer." I told her still looking at the road.
"Can you sing something to me?" She asked me.
"Um, maybe later." I told her not wanting to ruin the surprise.
"Fiiiine." She whined back to me causing me to chuckle a little. We drove a little longer listening to music on the radio like Maroon 5 and even Ed Sheeran. But finally we arrived.
I quickly got out the car and put my hand up to her telling her to stay as I wanted to open the door for her. She smiled at me and blushed a little when I did. I put my hand out for her to take and she did. I then gave my keys to the valet and walked inside.
"Reservation under Styles." I told the hostess and she seated us at a booth in the back.
"It's really nice here." Lauren said to me looking around the restaurant.
"I'm glad you like it." I told her and she snapped her head back to look at me giving me a small smile.
"Hello, I'm Jessica and I'll be your waitress today." A young girl around my age came up to us who was trying way too hard. She has her hair teased up to the extreme, the first 3 buttons on her shirt were open so you could obviously see her cleavage, and had a ton of makeup on. She looked down at me and winked at me. Yeah, no. "What can I start you off to drink handsome?" She said to me.
"Water is fine." I told her back disgusted.
"And you?" She asked annoyed to Lauren.
"Um, water." Lauren said. I could see the hurt in her eyes.
"Hey, ignore her. I'm her with a beautiful girl, not some freak show." I told Lauren after Jessica left. Her face brightened up after that and showed her beautiful smile.
Soon enough Jessica came back to our table with our drinks, she put mine down gently, but put down Lauren's hard enough that it splashed on her causing Lauren to gasp. I hurried gave her my napkin to try and soak up some of the water. Jessica didn't even care and walked away without apologizing.
"Lauren I'm so sorry. We can go somewhere else if you want." I said to her trying to help clean up the water.
"No it's fine. Don't worry, she won't get last word." She said back to me with a smirk. I couldn't wait to see what she had in mind.
Soon after we had everything cleaned up, Jessica came back to take our order. I had a shrimp and chicken pasta while Lauren had fettuccine alfredo. Jessica had the same attitude again.
"Oh wait, Jessica." Lauren called back to her.
"What?" She said with a bitchy tone.
"Can someone else bring out our food? You'd probably spit in mine. And I really don't want herpes." Lauren replied back with a smirk. Jessica just stood there with her jaw open for a second, then stormed off.
"Whoa, that was amazing. Sassy. I love it." I said to her still surprised.
"I told you I'd get last word." She said shrugging her shoulders proudly. I had definitely never seen this side.
"So Mr. Styles, where are we going after this?" She asked after a while.
"I was thinking the park." I replied back.
"But it's dark out." She said a little confused.
"The best time to go. It's beautiful at night. Trust me, you'll love it." I told her. Soon enough, our food arrived, and a male waiter delivered it to us.

We sat in silence enjoying our herpes free food. After we were done, sadly, Jessica returned with the bill. I opened the small little black think to see the check and a piece of paper with her phone number on it. I looked up to Lauren taking a small breath, and it looked like she was almost holding back tears. I rolled my eyes at the paper and tore it up into little pieces, and pulled out a small piece of paper of my own.
There was a pen in the check thing so I took it and wrote,
No thank you. I'm already with a beautiful girl. She's all I need. Goodbye. :)
I looked at Lauren to see her biting her lip trying not to smile, but when we made eye contact, she lost that and blush hard. I paid the bill, and her tip was that piece of paper for all I care. I kind of wanted to stay to see her reaction, but I wanted to hurry up and get to the park.
I had helped Lauren up from the booth, then escorted her back to my car. The park wasn't very far, but I didn't want Lauren to walk with her being in heels.
We pulled up to the park and it was about 8:00, so the sun was just setting since it was summer. I helped her out of the car, then we walked along the concrete path that had flowers all along the side.
"Look!" Lauren said to me and pointed in front of her. I looked over to see the same band playing that was there when we came here for the first time.
"Let's dance." I said to her grabbing her hand and pulling her to the small little dance floor that had 3 other couples dancing. She said her feet were hurting, so she took off her heels and placed them by the grass.
Once she returned back, I grabbed her hands, then put my hand on her small waist while she wrapped her arms around my neck. It was so nice to have her in my arms again. We swayed to the music perfectly. She was standing with a bit of distance between us, so I pulled her closer to me surprising her. I could feel her small body starting to shake in my arms.
"Nervous?" I asked her.
"Only a little." She said laughing.
"Don't be, you're safe in my arms." I told to her and spinning her around and dipping her down.
Not long after the music stopped, but we kept dancing.
"Are their any requests?" The guitar player asked. That's when I had an idea. I broke apart from Lauren and told her I'd be back.
"Do you know any Ed Sheeran songs?" I asked him.
"All of them. Which one would you like son?"
"Kiss Me by him please. But just the guitar only please." I said back to them. He gave me a nod and I walked back over to Lauren, grabbing her again. I looked back at him and gave him a sign to start.
He started to play the beginning perfectly. I waited until the vocals would begin, and I started to sing to her.

After I was done, she looked like she was about to cry.
"That was absolutely beautiful." She said to me wiping away her eyes.
"You're absolutely beautiful." I told her causing her to blush. There were things I wanted to say to her, and I needed to now. "Lauren look, you won't believe me when I say this, but, you're really my girlfriend. You were in a car accident, and somehow you lost your memory of me. It broke my heart. I need you to remember me now. I don't know what to do without you. I need you to tell me you remember me." I told her. She just looked at me like I was crazy. She probably wanted to run away.
I couldn't take it. She wasn't answering me. She still didn't remember me. I didn't know what else to do.
So I grabbed her cheeks, and kissed her like no other. She hesitated at first, but then kissed me back. It was perfect. This had to help, right? I pulled away from her, and she just looked at me with wide eyes.

After I was done, she looked like she was about to cry.
