Over My Dead Body
*Harry's P.O.V*
Morning came before I knew it. I didn't get much sleep. I practically just watched her the entire night. Nurses came in through the night checking on her, every time one came in, I was awake. They asked if I wanted anything to help me sleep, but I declined every time.
Today I was going to be able to take her home. I already had in plan what we were going to do. I'd let her rest at home with Allie for a little, then I was going to take her to the cafe we went to when she first got her, then to the park we went to. Also to the restaurant we were at when I asked her to be mine. We spent most of our time in America, but I can't take her back there now. We were starting to get busy again with the new album coming out. It was almost 1:00, and she was beginning to wake up.
"Good morning, Lauren." I smiled to her as she opened her eyes at me.
"Good morning...um...yeah, good morning." She trailed off forgetting my name yet again. The smile on my face slowly formed into a small frown. I felt I shouldn't tell her, maybe she'd remember it soon.
"Are you ready to go home?" I said trying to hide the hurt I felt.
"Yeah, I don't like being in here anymore. Is Allie picking me up?" She asked me with a yawn.
"Um, no. I'll be taking you home." I said to her.
"Oh, okay." She said looking towards the door as someone come in.
"Oh good, you're awake. We're going to check on you one last time, and then you can go home. Your friend brought you clothes for you to go home in." Doctor Jones said coming closer to Lauren's bed. She just gave him a small smile.
*45 minutes later.*
"Goodbye Doctor Jones. Thank you for everything." I said to him after Lauren headed out of the room.
"My pleasure Harry. I wish you both the best." He said patting my should. I gave him a small smile in return and went to find Lauren. After I found her, we took the elevator down to the first floor and out to my Audi. I held the door open for her, and waited until she was inside completely before closing it and walking over to my side.
It was a 25 minute drive back to our flats. I tried to make conversation with her, but she just nodded her head or said yeah to everything I said. This wasn't going to be easy, but I'm going to do whatever I can.
We arrived at the flats and I tried to walk over to her side to get the door, but she beat me to it. I waited for her to be out before I closed the door, and helped her to her front door. Thankfully, Allie left the door unlocked and she was sitting on the couch you saw walking into the house.
"Lauren. Hey sweetie, how are you feeling?" Allie asked walking over and hugging Lauren.
"Pretty good. I'm really hungry though. Hospital food isn't too filling." Lauren joked back to her.
"Well you go lay down on the couch, and I'll make you something to eat." She led Lauren over to the couch, then came back to me after.
"Thank you for bringing her back. And I'm really sorry she doesn't remember you." She said pushing her lips back and looking into my eyes.
"The doctor said she should remember remember me within the week. I was planning on taking her out tonight, if she'd let me." I told her shrugging my shoulders.
"Well why don't you ask her while I make her something to eat." She said heading over towards the kitchen leaving me in front of the door. Eventually, I made my way over to the back of the couch Lauren was laying on. Her eyes were closed, but I knew she wasn't sleeping.
"Lauren?" I asked touching her small shoulder.
"Huh?" She groaned opening her eyes.
"Um, I was just wondering if you maybe wanted to do something tonight? W-with me?" I stuttered shyly. I was nervous she'd say no since she didn't really know me yet again.
"Um. I don't know." She said sitting up and looking over to Allie. I saw Allie nod her head a little letting her know it was okay. "Um, sure." She said smiling to me.
"Great. I'll pick you up at 6 and we'll go to dinner." I smiled at her.
"Sounds like a date." She smiled back to me. At that I headed out back to my place.
*Lauren's P.O.V*
So I guess I had a date tonight with.....wait....I didn't even know his name! Crap, why did I agree to this. He was probably some creep who stayed in my room with me and now just wanted to get in my pants. But then again, Allie would've told me if he was instead of telling me it was okay to go out with him. I was still kind of nervous though.
"Lauren come on. Your food is done." Allie called to me breaking me from my thinking. I got up and headed over to the kitchen to see she made me her famous homemade mac & cheese.
"Aw my favorite!" I screeched to her grabbing a plate and putting some on it then digging in. She just laughed to me and joined in.
"So are you excited for your date?" She asked me putting a fork full of macaroni in her mouth.
"Kind of I guess. It's just weird going on a date with someone I don't really know." I said back to her. She just raised an eyebrow at me and looked down at her plate.
"Well, after you're finished eating, I'll help you pick out an outfit to wear, then I'll help you get ready." She said smiling at me and me returning the smile, then back to devouring the rest of the mac & cheese.
By the time I was done eating, it was 3:00. Allie helped me pick out my outfit. We went with a a light pink pencil skirt with small ruffles, a short sleeve white blouse with ruffles going down the buttons that I'd tuck into the skirt, and a pair of nude-ish pink pumps.
I was exhausted by the time we were done with that. It was nearly 4:00, and I still had to take a shower, (which took about an hour for me) and I had to do my hair. I was so tired, but I couldn't take a nap or I'd miss the date. I still don't remember his name. Oh well, he'll say it soon enough.
I had taken my shower already and it was near 5:00. So I had to quickly dry my hair and curl it. Which took foreveeer. I had to split it into three sections and curl one at a time because my hair is too thick and long to not do that. Finally when I was done with that, I got out of my robe and put on my outfit. I was really happy with it, I thought it was adorable.
After staring at myself in the mirror for like ten minutes, I looked to see my date would be here soon. Crap crap crap. I still had to do my makeup! I applied my foundation, then loose powder, then I put on a natural smokey eye look with eyeliner and mascara too of course. I was pretty pleased with the result.
Right after I stepped down from the stairs, I heard a knock on the door. My stomach did so many flips I thought I was going to throw up. But instead, I took a deep breath and headed for the door.
"Hello." I said to 'him' opening the door.
"Hello gorgeous." He said back to me causing my cheeks to burn. "Ready to go?" I nodded back in response to his question. He put his arm out for me to link arms with him. I did, and he escorted me to his beautiful Audi opening the door on my side, then running over to his side.
"So where are we going?" I asked shyly playing with my fingers.
"It's a surprise." He said to me looking at me and smirking, causing me to smile back at him. This will be a fun night.
