Prince Niall and his sister, Kathleen, invited us over for tea today. I immediately agreed. I love Prince Niall's sister and Prince Niall isn't so bad either. When I woke up this morning, it was drizzlingly, nothing more. I ruled the cons verses the pros and decided that I should leave either way. Sitting on the right of the limo, I look out the window as Zain and Edward go on and on about possible renovations on the castle. Of course, Edward suggested painting the walls white, because, "Red's extremely overrated. Everyone wants to paint their hallways red."

When we arrive, Zain's hand finds mine and we walk about the stairs to see Kathleen and Niall waiting at the top. The second that I'm in arms reach, Kathy pulls me into the castle. It takes me off balance at first. Prince Niall and Zain look confused, but I can't explain with the possibly of me falling and breaking one of my heels. We're all most into the kitchen and I'm not sure what to do, because she's talking so quick.

"OhIJustHaveToTellYouAboutOurNewTeaSet."

"Your what?" I ask.

She turns around to look at me. With her eyebrows furrowed, she says, "We have a new tea set. It's blue and I thought you'd want to see it."

"It's blue?"

"I requested it for when you visit." She explains with a nod, "I don't have many friends and I consider you one, so don't think anything of it."

She walks into the kitchen, holding the door for me. I smile. I've never had someone do that for me. Like ever. I've also never had someone consider me a friend so fast, other than Gracelynn. She holds my hand and maneuvers through the kitchen until she finds what she's looking for. She stops in front of curly haired person.

"Harry, could you bring out the blue tea cups?" She asks him.

He jumps at her voice and spins around to face her. With a wry smile and nods and clumsily makes his around the workers. I look to her to ask something along the lines of, "Do all of the princes hire clumsy butlers?", but there's an evident smile on her face as if she knows she messes with him, so I choose not to. Obviously, this only happens when she talks to him.

I look to the window only to see that the rain's still falling. I really hope it stops soon. Zain and Prince Niall ramble on about merging their science programs to expand their search for the endangered penguin population. Kathy's hand finds mine as she says something about how we have to schedule some time for a possible joint birthday party, but all I can think about is how in the hell did she find out when my birthday is. I only smile and tell her, "Sure, I'd like that."

The majority of Kathy and I's conversation is centered around my plans for the wedding. I'm not really sure, but I tell her about the plans for my dress. She just listens with a smile. When I finish, she tells me about how she's planning on renovating the garden. She thinks that giving it a Zen feel to it will help mellow out her problems. I ask her if she remembers that she's from Irish descent and her face drops.

"Really?" She asks.

I nod. She looks to Prince Niall and questions, "We're from Ireland?" He gives her nod with a look of annoyance as if she is supposed to know that already. She shakes her had and murmurs something about having to start her project over.

We spent most of the day with the Horan twins, unintentionally. When we finally find our way home, its around 6. It's thundering. It's loud and t-to much for me. I leave Zain behind as I scurry up the stairs. I go to my room quickly and close the door. Putting my earphones in my ears, I press play on my Paramore playlist. I close my eyes and try to not focus on the thundering outside for a while. It's getting pretty late and it isn't working at all.

I pull my throw blanket off the bed and take a pillow with me as I sneak out of my room. I ease my door close as I tiptoe around the castle, trying trying very hard to not wake anyone up. When I come to a familiar door, I try to decide if I should knock. Maybe, I shouldn't. He could be asleep. I know how much I hate it when someone wakes me from my slumber. I should probably just go back to my room. I go to walk back down the hallway, but the door opens and Zain says, "Layne?" I jump a little at his voice.

"Um, S-sorry. It's just that, um." I mutter as I fidget, trying to convey what I'm thinking, but-

Another waves of sound comes from outside and I yelp with a jump. My teeth catch my bottom lip as I try not to let any tears spill over. I'm taken by surprise when I'm lifted off the ground.

"Z-zain?"

"Shh, Layne. I have sisters; I know what to do when someone's scared of thunderstorms." He tells me in a hushed tone.

He repositions me when he sits down. His hand finds my back and he runs circles around it. I'm not sure how it calms me, but it does. I rest my head on his shoulder and try to focus on his breathing. He smells of aged vanilla. I hate vanilla, so much, but not so much right now. Oh, and smokes, like one of the packs Gracelynn buys at the convenient stores we stop at on a road trip. I clench my blanket as I breathe out a form of thanks.

"Do you want to know a secret?" He whispers. I nod.

"I spell my name with a 'Y' instead of an 'I', because it looks cooler and it fits. It just does." He tells me.

I sit up to look him in the eye and say, "That's an amazing secret. Z-A-Y-N does sound very cool."

He smiles at me.

"Thank you for telling me that. L-A-I-N-E sounds pretty cool, too, so don't act like you're the only one that can change their name around." I tell him.

He just laughs and all I can do is smile. He looks up at me and our eyes lock. Now, I'm going to make this sound the least clichéd that I can get, but let's be real: Clichés are made because they happen often, like now. It is perfectly evident that his pupils are dilated and his hand stops.

"Can I kiss you?" He asks and I know that I shouldn't let him. I really shouldn't, because we probably won't find a way around it, but maybe that's a good thing. Um, maybe. And, I let him.

With a gasp, I sit up quickly. I rub the sleep out of my eyes as I try to survey the room. This isn't my room. Where the hell am I? My eyes widen as last night unfolds in my mind. I pull the covers to my chest with only a look of mortification plastered on my face. Oh my goodness. Where is Zain- no Zain with a y. Where's Zayn? My eyes trail to the bathroom door, but there's no water running. He probably already left. He's the type of guy to leave a note, right? He'd do something like that, right? If he were to hurry out? I try to find a note in the usual place, on the nightstand. I do find one. I smile a little, before reading it. It read: Thanks. Thats it. Thanks. That's all he fucking wrote.

My face drops to my hands and I try to suppress a sigh. He such a fucking dipshit. I pull a hand through my hair and gather my clothes off the floor. Pulling my shirt over my head, I leave his room.
