Loving Him
Chapter 14
Clarence's POV
All in the matter of three seconds after I admitted to my sad virgin life, the one guy who is a millionaire and I am totally falling for sees my shitty house and hears my confession, my best friends looks very confused and I forget how to breath and everything goes black.
I roll over and almost fall off the couch. My head is spinning. An ice pack slides from my forehead and I finally see Harry's face over mine. I realise that my head is resting on his lap and he's playing with my hair. Was it a dream? Is my secret still safe?
I sit up and move next to Harry. Lily's eyes move from our quietly touching legs to Harry's hands to my face.
"Are we gonna talk about this?" She says.
Well fuck. "I really don't want to. Why are you still here then?" I turn to Harry.
He looks genuinely hurt. "Clarence, as if I care about that. I really like you. I'm not like that. I can't believe... I really like you this isn't changing anything."
I give Lily a smug look and say "sorry, it's just so embarrassing."
Harry shakes his head.
Lily says, "Why'd you lie to me about this?"
"It's just easier to explain that I have rather than haven't. It's embarrassing and kinda sad."
Lily nods and stands up, "Okay, well I have to go. Glad we're on good terms again, C. Bye Harry." She stalks off.
Harry puts his had around my neck as pulls me into a slow kiss as my front door slams shut.
Lily's POV
That fucking bitch. Lies to her bestfriend about something that big. Her friend of how many years? Holy shit. And then beautiful Harry walks onto the scene and she's alright going clubbing and going to concerts all of a sudden. She tells him the big secrets. Just because he's famous.
My boots slam on the pavement as I turn onto the main road. Outside the corner store is a rack of magazines. There, on all the front covers, is Clarence making out with Harry. His hand on her butt. That should be me. I deserve that.
I pick up a magazine. Harry's Hot Romance Continues. The article has no quotes. No 'says a family friend'. The magazines are writing simply from rumour and speculation.
I smile.
This gives me an idea.
