Keep Holding On

Sometimes strangers are more of a family to you than your own blood. That's how it was for me and Liam. He was my family. Him, Amia, Amity, Aaliyah, and Tessa.

People say that life is so short that you have to cherish it but the way I see it, you'll never live if you can't be brave. You'll never be brave if you never get hurt, you'll never learn if you don't make mistakes, and you'll never be successful if you don't encounter failure. Failure is not necessarily missing out on something or admitting defeat. To me, it's realizing that you're only human and you can't do everything. But also, success isn't always getting something. Sometimes, it's giving. Eventually, you'll understand.

I was born with cancer. And I wouldn't change that for the world. I have a family who makes me feel like I'm loved. My cancer makes me who I am. My scars are a reminder of where I came from. I didn't always feel this way.

But then I met him. He came to me one day, like my guardian angel. He stayed with me, got to know me, and he gave me my firsts of everything. He is my savior. The reason my heart is still beating. He taught me that in the end, it won't matter how many breaths you take, but how many moments take your breath away.

The tragedy of life is not death, but what we let die inside us. There is no passion to be found in a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.

I've never wanted a perfect life... just a happy one. And he gave that to me. You can't have a better tomorrow if you don't stop thinking about yesterday. So you only have one choice.
