Bloodlust ( Harry Styles AU/ Vampire )
001
All I could see was darkness. It took me a second to realize I had fallen from the tree limb I was perched on, asleep. It took me another second to realize I was staring at a blank, ebony sky. It was always like that for vampires-- we didn't see stars. Seeing as stars are a form of hope for humans, and vampires can't have hope. Their life is eternal, cruel.
I sat up, leaning on the trunk for support. It had been forever ago since I had last had blood, and it was starting to show. I had checked the small mirror in my pocket yesterday and saw a gruesome sight.
My hair was stringy, lacking life. My eyes were a bloodshot red with the pupils smaller than they should be. My lips were chapped and cracked, resembling that of a well-preserved corpse. My skin was paler than normal, or should I say, socially acceptable.
I took a deep breath and slowly walked over to the small lunchbag I had from my childhood. I unzipped it, and frowned deeply; no blood. I sighed, disappointed.
My hearing picked up a small crack of twigs behind me. I could sense the surging power of the being, so strong it was suffocating me. I could immediately tell that this person wasn't human, human's didn't have power like that.
I turned sharply and saw nothing but trees and sky.

I was currently luring the girl in, very slowly. She was slowly falling for my act, and I could tell she wanted to be alone with me. I took her hand and lead her outside, into the alleyway.
I pinned her arms above her head, shoving her into the brick wall behind her. I kissed her neck softly, and patiently. She moved her hair back, revealing her tanned neck. I felt my canines drive into my lower lip, and I just couldn't control it anymore.
I flung my head back and sank my teeth into her throat. She let out an ear-piercing scream as I drained the blood from her body. Her struggles became weaker as her blood supply lowered.
When she was empty I threw her to the side, her limp body hitting the pavement. I painstakingly dragged my tongue across my teeth, removing any blood stains.
I was about to start walking before my nose picked up on a familiar smell. The beautiful scent was so strong, I felt as if I was choking. I knew exactly what it was.
It was her.
I inhaled deeply, smiling softly. God, had I missed this smell so much. I immediately started sprinting, following the direction of the smell.
The closer I got, the stronger the scent became. It led me across town to an old forest. I smiled mischievously, nearly feeling her in my arms. Not too much longer, I told myself.
"Not too much longer," I repeated, aloud.
My sprint turned to a run as the need to hold her intensified, nearly driving me mental. Trees blurred by as I ran, too fast for a human to notice. I stopped abruptly when I saw her. Leaned over a bag, scowling. I smirked at how she had changed.
"Well, well, well. Won't you look at this.." I cooed.
