Rachel’s P.O.V.

“Where are they?” Madi muttered, rubbing her bare arms.

We were outside the night club in the queue, freezing our asses off.The boys were meant to meet us here ten minutes ago.

I shrugged in response.

I was starting to get a little bit worried.What if they didn’t show up?

However my fears vanished when Allie began fixing her hair.

“Look, there they are. Do I look okay guys?” she muttered, glancing at us nervously.

I couldn’t help but grin slightly at her anxious behaviour.

Madi winked at me slyly.

No secret who she was trying to impress.

“Hey!” Allie grinned widely once the boys had reached us.

Louis girlfriend, Chelsea was with them. I scanned the boys quickly before I met Nialls gaze.

His eyes widened and he began looking me up and down. I bit my lip, feeling extremely self-conscious all of a sudden.

“C’mon Nialler, the girls not a piece of meat!” Harry smirked, noticing his staring.

I felt my cheeks burn and Niall swallowed awkwardly, looking up to meet my eye again.

“You look…. “ Niall trailed off.

At this point everyone was watching us.

“I mean, that dress..” he tried again, but failed to finish his sentence.

Madi and Allie started giggling and Zayn started chuckling.

I raised my eyebrows slightly.

“Thanks..?” I mumbled.

Harry rolled his eyes.

“He’s trying to say you look hot Rach. That dress is amazing” he told me.

I felt my blush deepen but I grinned slightly.

“Thanks” I replied.

Niall elbowed him.

Now that the boys were here, we managed to get inside a lot quicker.

There was a bar to the side which Harry led us to straight away.

Louis and Chelsea wandered off onto the dancefloor.

Harry began ordering drinks for the rest of us and Zayn pulled me aside.

“You look amazing Rach. Did you see Nialls reaction out there?” he asked.

I felt myself blush.

“You have to tell him you have a thing for him. Trust me, theres no way he doesn’t feel the same” he told me.

“Zayn, it’s not gonna happen” I mumbled.

“Why not?” he asked back.

I sighed.

“It’s not as easy as it seems. Take you for example. Since you met Allie you’ve liked her and yet you still haven’t plucked up enough courage to ask her out” I replied.

He seemed slightly taken aback.

“That’s not the same thing at all” he mumbled, folding his arms.

“How?” I challenged.

He narrowed his eyes before shrugging.

“You know what, fine. But if I can do it, so can you” he said firmly.

I frowned in confusion.

“What are you-“ I began but before I could finish my sentence, he walked straight over to Allie.

I watched with wide eyes as he whispered something to her, causing her to grin widely.

He offered her his hand and she took it, blushing slightly.

He led her to the dancefloor but not before mouthing ‘your turn’ to me.

I rolled my eyes.

It was easier for Zayn. Him and Allie weren’t close. They hadn’t been friends for long like me and Niall had. Even if Allie had of rejected Zayn, it wouldn’t have been that bad. If Niall rejected me, it would ruin everything. He was the most important thing in my life.

“Here you are!” Harry handed me a large glass of vodka.

“Thanks” I mumbled in response.

I hadn’t really planned on drinking. It had been a long time since I had. But I was out to enjoy myself so one little sip wasn’t going to do me any harm.

Or so I thought.

One little sip turned into one full glass and that went on to another and another.

“Rachel?” I looked up from my bar stool to see Allie peering at me, with Zayns arms wrapped around her from behind.

“Yes?”

“How much exactly have you drank?” she asked me.

I stuck out my bottom lip.

“A little” I replied.

Zayn raised an eyebrow causing me to burst out laughing.

“Okay, maybe a lot” I corrected, still giggling.

Zayn nodded.

“Wheres Niall? I haven’t seen him in a while” I whined.

“He’s over there” Zayn told me, pointing behind me.

I turned around to see Niall on the dance floor, talking to a girl.

The girl was giggling loudly, flicking her hair and trailing her fingers along his arm.

“Nonononononono” I mumbled under my breath, slurring the words.

“M’sorry Rach” Zayn said upon seeing my reaction.

I shook my head.

“No! This is not how it’s supposed to work! It’s not how I had it planned!” I muttered in frustration.

Allie raised her eyebrows, willing me to continue.

I sighed loudly.

“Niall was finally supposed to see me as more than just a friend” I whined.

“Well I still think you should tell him how you feel” Zayn shrugged.

Allie nodded in agreement.

They were both tipsy but nowhere near as drunk as I was, so I decided to just take their advice. They probably knew what they were talking about.

I hopped off of my seat quickly, making me stumble and nearly fall.

Once I balanced myself, I set off towards Niall and the girl.

“Niall!” I half shouted once I was close enough for him to hear me.

“Oh hey Rach!” Niall grinned widely when he saw me.

It was safe to say he was very drunk too.

“Who’s this?” the girl asked, twirling a strand of her platinum blonde hair around her finger.

“I’m his girlfriend. You should really leave” I replied bluntly.

She seemed taken aback but shrugged and wandered off.

As soon as she did, Niall burst out laughing.

“That was a lie” he giggled.

“It doesn’t have to be” I answered.

His brow furrowed in confusion.

“What?”

“Niall, I’m really into you” I began, causing his eyes to widen.

I ignored it and continued talking.

“I tried really hard you know. I got all dressed up to impress you and you didn’t even notice or care! Niall, it’s just so frustrating living with you and having you know nothing about how I feel. Not knowing if there’s any chance that you feel the same way and just-“

I was cut off by his warm lips meeting mine.
