I gasped when I saw them.

Zayn looked unscathed but Niall's eye was a light purple colour and his lip was busted.

My eyes filled with tears before I even said anything. And when I did, it came out as a whisper.

"What happened?"


Rachel’s P.O.V.

Niall cleared his throat loudly and awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.

“Its not as bad as it looks” he muttered.

I made my way over to him, blinking back my tears. I pulled him into a tight hug.

“I’m so sorry Niall, this is all my fault” I mumbled into his chest.

“Don’t be silly love” he replied, wrapping his arms around me.

I pulled back to check his injuries.

I barely even glanced at Zayn, who had the suitcase I had bought last year at his feet and had a few other things in his arms.

“C’mon” I muttered to Niall, taking his hand to lead him to the kitchen.

This was all my fault, so I had to try sort him out.

Once he sat on a chair, I made my way to the freezer to try and find an icepack.

The only thing I could find was a frozen bag of peas. It would have to do.

“Here, hold this to your eye” I told him, handing him the frozen peas.

He did as I said.

“I can’t believe I let you do this. I’m such an idiot” I mumbled, sitting in the chair next to his, turning it to face him.

“Don’t beat yourself up hun, its my fault really” he soothed me, taking my hand with the one he wasn’t using to hold the peas.

“How is it even remotely your fault?” I asked back confused.

He bit his lip, hesitating for a moment.

“I may have kinda started the fight” he admitted.

“Okay, that’s not so remote..” I mumbled.

He grinned slightly at that.

“Why Niall?” I added.

He sighed.

“He said some things that really annoyed me..” he muttered.

“What did he say?” I asked. Niall wasn’t usually the violent type. Then again with what Brad had done I guess it wasn’t all that surprising.

He shrugged.

“Nothing important” he muttered.

I rolled my eyes.

“It was obviously important enough if you started a fight over it” I replied.

“I really don’t wanna talk about it” he said firmly.

“Niiiiaaaaalll” I whined.

I hated being out of the loop.

Then again, I had kept Niall in the dark for so long so I had really no right to get annoyed that he didn’t want to talk about his fight with Brad.

“Trust me, it’s not a big deal” he told me, putting down the bag of peas.

His eye was still bruised but the swelling had gone down a little bit, thankfully.

I just nodded.

“C’mere” he muttered, pulling me up off of my chair and landing me on his lap.

I felt my heart flutter when he wrapped his arms around me.

“I’m so sorry about all of this Rach. I really am. I just need you to promise me something..” he told me softly.

“Of course, anything” I replied instantly.

He took a deep breath before speaking again.

“I need you to promise that there are no more secrets. From now on, we’ve to be completely honest with each other” he whispered, resting his head on my shoulder.

I bit my lip.

How could I promise him that when here I was pretending my stomach wasn’t fluttering and my heart wasn’t pounding all because of him.

“Okay” I replied quietly.

“Say the words Rach” he told me softly.

I nodded.

“I promise Niall, no more secrets” I whispered.

So I wrote this chapter yesterday but it got deleted so I re-wrote it.

Okay, so I have a question for ye!
How would you feel about me skipping on a week?
It's just the next thing I have planned can't happen for at least a week on in the story..
