Rachel's P.O.V.

I just spent the day lying around with Niall and it wasn't long until the next day came. I hadn't remembered falling asleep but I woke up alone in Niall's bed.

I was dressed in Nialls pyjama bottoms and a football jersey I had worn to bed and I pulled on a hoodie I found in his wardrobe. Even though the boys now knew about what Brad had been doing, I still felt self-conscious letting them see the bruises on my arms.

I went downstairs to find Niall and Zayn in the kitchen talking in hushed voices. As soon as I walked in, they stopped talking.

"Morning Rach" Niall smiled at me, walking over to pull me into a hug. The action filled my stomach with butterflies. He pressed a quick kiss to my forehead before pulling back, leaving my skin tingling where his lips were.

I hated that he made me feel like this now. It wasn't right. He was my best friend.

"Do you want something to eat?" Zayn asked me once me and Niall had parted.

I nodded eagerly.

"Okay man. You make her something to eat and I'll go get dressed. Then we can go" Zayn told Niall with a swift nod.

"Go where?" I asked, curiosity getting the best of me.

Zayn ignored my question and left, heading for his room so I turned to Niall.

"Where are you going?" I asked again.

"Doesn't matter. You want cereal or toast?" he tried changing the subject.

"Cereal" I replied, folding my arms.

He nodded and began making me a bowl of cornflakes. There was no need to ask where he was going again. I knew he was heading to Brad's place. He said he was yesterday.

I sat on the counter, just watching him making my cereal. He was a t-shirt so I got a full view of his toned arms. I knew Niall would be extremely creeped out if he knew how I was feeling. What I was thinking.

But I couldn't stop now. My crush was getting worse. Heck, I was starting to think it was more than just a crush. And I couldn't handle that. It was okay if it was just a crush. I could handle knowing Niall wouldn't want me. But if I had actually developed feelings for him, I knew I couldn't take rejection from him.

Which is exactly why I had to get over him. And fast . Especially now that I was living with him. If he found out it could ruin everything. Our whole friendship. I wouldn't be able to stay here anymore it'd be so awkward.

"Here you go love" Niall smiled, handing me the bowl of cereal.

"Thanks Ni" I told him sweetly.

He squeezed my knee which sent shivers down my spine.

"I'm going to get your stuff. I want you to stay here with the others, okay?" he told me, his hand still on my knee.

I nodded.

"C'mon Niall!" I heard Zayn yell from the hall.

Niall made to turn around but I hopped down off of the counter and pulled him into a hug.

"Be careful, okay?" I mumbled into his shoulder.

"It's not me you should be worried about" he muttered back.

I pulled back.

"Just get the stuff and leave. Don't look for Brad" I told him firmly.

He just nodded.

"Bye Rach" he said, giving me a swift kiss on the nose. And with that he was gone.
