"Zayn seriously! What the fuck is going on?! What's wrong with Rachel?" I yelled.

Zayn didn't even seemed surprised at my outburst.

He took a deep breath.

"Okay, but your driving Niall, you can't freak out" he said softly.


Niall's P.O.V.

I was surprised he was actually going to tell me.

"I won't.." I mumbled back.

Zayn raised his eyebrows.

"I'm serious Niall" he told me.

I nodded impatiently.

"C'mon Zayn. I need to know whats going on" I muttered back.

He took another deep breath.

"Niall, Rachel's not okay. Not at all okay" he started, his voice low.

I had figured as much but hearing him put it into words made it so much more real.

"What's wrong with her?" I asked.

"Brad. He-he hits her" Zayn voice was barely more than a whisper.

It took me a few seconds to process what he had said.

I knew there was something wrong but I hadn't known it was this bad.

My hands tightened on the steering wheel.

"How long has he.." My voice trailed off but he knew what I meant.

"A while.. He started drinking and it lead to.. well, this." he replied.

There was silence for a few minutes as I thought it over in my head.

Why didn't she tell me?

I could've helped her.. I could've done something.

Oh god, I've just been making this whole thing worse on her.

I should've known. I should've realised.

I was her best friend and I did absolutely nothing when this was happening.

But she should have told me.

She could've trusted me.

Why would she feel like she couldn't trust me and she could trust Zayn?

Zayn.

He knew.

"How could you not tell me?!" I yelled.

"I only found out yesterday Niall" he didn't seem surprised at all by my question.

"You could have told me! You knew he was doing this to her and you didn't bother to mention it!" I refused to calm down.

"She made me promise not to!" He shouted back.

My heart sank.

"She-she what?" My voice cracked.

Zayn sighed.

"She didn't want you it worry about it, said it was 'her problem' " he muttered.

"She told you.." I mumbled back.

"Nah, I walked in on her getting changed by accident and saw her bruises" he explained.

I just nodded, that made me feel a little better.

We didn't talk for the rest of the drive to Rachels.

It felt like forever but we finally got there.

The car was only parked and me and Zayn were running inside.

It wasn't unusual that Rachels door was unlocked, so we got into her apartment easily.

"RACHEL!"

As soon as we were inside we began yelling her name.

I ran from the kitchen to the sitting room and was shocked with what I saw.

"Shit. ZAYN. CALL 911" I yelled at the top of my voice.

A lump in my throat grew.

She was lying on the floor, her skin so pale I would've thought she was dead, if her chest wasn't moving.

Her stomach was scarlet due to the blood that had seeped through her top.

I was by her side within seconds.

Zayn came into the room a minute later, his phone to his ear.

His eyes widened when he saw her.

He was muttering away but I couldn't focus on anything he was saying.

"Rachel, I'm so sorry.. I'm sorry I let him do this to you" I whispered, taking her hands in mine.

"It's not your fault mate. The ambulance is on their way, she's gonna be fine" Zayn attempted to calm me down.

But what if she wasn't?

I'd never be able to forgive myself..

Okay so I updated really recently but I'm sick today and can't go to school so I decided to update again :p
Well now Niall knows whats going on, but what's gonna happen next?
Has Brad really gone too far this time?
