Rachel's P.O.V.

I went into the sitting room and wasn't surprised at where everyone wassitting.

Louis, Harry and Liam were on one couch. Allie was between Madi and Zayn on the other couch and Niall was sitting on the couch in the middle.

I sat next to Niall quickly and tried to get myself settled into the movie.

I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss with Niall. I had never felt anything like it before.

I thought about what Zayn said.

Me and Niall did care about each other.

A lot.

But we were best friends. Of course we cared

But what I was feeling lately was more than best-friend feelings.

Niall pulled me out of my thoughts by scooting closer to me and wrapping and arm around me.

A shiver went down my spine which caused Niall look at me worriedly.

I mentally face palmed.

"You okay Rach? You look distracted.." he whispered to me, his breath tickling my ear.

My heartbeat sped up.

I nodded.


"Of course, I'm fine.." I whispered back quickly.

He raised his eyebrows.

"You sure?" he asked.


"Yes Niall, I'm fine, promise..." I lied.

He shrugged and focused back on the movie.

Yup. I'm screwed...

These are NOT normal best friend feelings.

I sighed.

It was probably just a crush.

Yeah... Just a crush.

NothingI couldn't deal with.

I got crushes all the time.

Being friends with the biggest boy band in the world meant you got to meet a lot of guys. Hot
guys.

I had had tonnes of little meaningless crushes.

This would go away, right?

I really wasn't in the mood for dealing with this right now.

My head was beginning to hurt from all the thinking.

Or maybe it was because the relief the paracetamol had given me had faded.

"Niall sweetie, have you got any paracetamol? My heads killing me" I whispered to Niall.

He turned to me and furrowed his brow.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Nothing, just a headache" I lied.

He nodded and stood up quickly, grabbing my hand to pull me with him.

"I'll find something" he told me, leading me to the kitchen.

He looked through a cupboard that was almost too neatly arranged.

Before long, he pulled out a small box of tablets.

He filled me a glass of water and handed me both.

I took them graciously.

"How long has your head been hurting?" he asked.

"A while" I replied shrugging.

"You should've said something.." he told me pulling me into a hug.

I chuckled softly.

"Ni, I'm okay, seriously.." I mumbled, hugging him back.

But the pain in my head seemed to be getting worse.

"Do you mind if I maybe go lie down in your room for a while?" I asked,pulling back.

"Of course, of course, c'mon" he muttered, taking my hand in his softly, heading for the hall.

"You can go back and watch the movie hun, I'll be fine.. I just need to relax a bit" I told him quickly, feeling bad.


"Rach, I'm not just gonna leave you alone when your sick.." he replied, as we walked up the stairs, and to his room.

"I'm not sick.." I mumbled as I made my way over to the bed.


"Sure, sure" he muttered, rolling his eyes.

I lay down on the bed and closed my eyes.

Niall climbed onto the bed beside me, wrapping his arms around me.

"Niall I'm so sorry you've to miss the movie to mind me..." I mumbled, relaxing a little.

"Shut up Rach, you know I don't mind.." he replied.

"Still, I'm sorry..." I told him again.

"Shh babe, go to sleep.." he whispered into my hair.

"M'not tired.." I mumbled unconvincingly, yawning.

"Sure" he chuckled.

I fell asleep to the sound of his laugh.
