We climbed out the limo and immediately had paps all aroud us. We smiled together answered a few questions and went inside.
"Miss Scarlett Rose and Miss Nicole Jane" our names were announced as we walked down the stairs we got applauded. This is still so alien to me, the paps, the party's, being known!
But I like it, even if I do get scared. As we reached the bottom
Ms bussel herself came over and hugged us.
"Girls you both look stunning!" we smiled and thanked her
"well we shall have dinner then I'll make my speech and you shall dance!" She pointed to a door at the other side of the room "that's backstage, go through there and your costumes are there. And thank you again"

"man this is so scary!" I said as the bell rang for us to take our seats for the dinner
"i know!" Nicole squeaked "okay keep your cool" I laughed at her comment, I think she's the one who needs to keep cool. We sat down, the table was huge and went on for what seemed miles.
The first course arrived, salmon tureen. I'm not a huge fish lover but this tasted good! The next was lamb, it was all so beautifully prepared. Clearly a lot of work had gone into it. Sadly we had to skip dessert, eva use we needed to get changed. We excused ourselves from the table and went through the door.
"Hi I'm Lou, I'm helping do costume and make up"
"hey I'm Nicole and this is Scarlett"
Nicole go her hair and makeup done first. While I got into my leotard, it's was encrusted with tiny diamonds. I sat down in the chair while she did my hair into a bun and placed the tiara on. I turned and saw Nicole she looked stunning. We had matching outfits but she looked amazing in hers. I thanked Lou and stepped into my tutu. We tied out pointes and were ready. We stepped behind the curtains. I squeezed Nics hand and she squeezed mine.
The music began and we took our positions as curtains slowly rose. I took my first step cautiously. Suddenly I was full in the flow. We spun and pirouetted past each other. It was a very graceful piece. As it ended we curtsied and got a standing ovation and saw Darcy at the front, glowing clapping and grinning. I felt on top of the world I grabbed Nics hand and we curtsied again as the curtain fell.
"WE DID IT!" I shouted jumping up and down. Nicole was grinning like a Cheshire Cat. We skipped backstage. And took off out tutus.
"Girls! It was stunning! You looked beautiful! Oh thank you thank you!" We were embraced by Darcy.
"Wow you were awesome!" Lou said
"thanks! And thanks for doing our hair"

we we got changed back into our gowns and let our hair down.
"Didn't know you could dance like that Lettie." I froze
