Fix His Collar
Chapter Five
I sat on the windowsill, my feet dangling over the edge. I haven't even been here a day and yet everyone keeps acting cozy around me, like I'm apart of their little family thing. But secretly, I'm just planning my escape in my head. Although there is this one girl who keeps looking at me suspiciously, it was the blonde I'd seen earlier, and now she's avoiding me.
Then there was this Niall guy, who mysteriously healed my back. It's like they want me to think they're all some sort of supernatural beings. Which is by far crazy, like that could ever happen. Ha. There's also Genevieve, who's sweet and all, but she doesn't necessarily like me. But I think she's the only person here I'll get along with at least. Because Eleanor is always sending me daggers, and Louis, who's apparently her boyfriend, is just too happy and opinionated around me.
And then there was when I saw Halley, or apparently as these people call her 'Rebekah'. The thing between us happened about an hour ago. And it was shocking.
Flashback:
"Let me go!" I screamed, slamming hard into Harry's chest and making him step backward slightly. His back his the wall with a thud and he glared at me, eyes blazing over with anger. I jumped at my chance and bolted for his bedroom door, which was shockingly nearer than I'd thought.
I pulled it open and ran, down the hallway, to their stairs and made it to the living room when I felt his familiar strong arms wrap around my skinny waist. Pulling me back into his chest harshly with a growl. "You need to stop doing that, sweets," he spoke harshly in my ear, his cool breath fanning my neck.
A shiver ran down my spine and I thrashed in his arms. This wasn't my first attempt to escape, but I'd gotten farther than all my other tries. So I must've been getting better. "Stop, right god damn now, I'm getting sick of this, Alice." I continued, that was, until he bit down on my shoulder, causing me to whimper and abruptly stop.
"Ow.." I murmured, trying to reach up and touch my now hurt shoulder, but he wouldn't let me. Harry grabbed my wrist in his firm hand and squeezed it, causing me to let out a yelp. And that's when Halley showed up, my gaze widened and I focused on her. "Hal-" before I could finish speaking she was in front of me, covering my mouth with her hand.
And glaring up at Harry, "Let the poo girl go, she needs to clean up, and definitely needs a change in clothes." Her nose scrunched up and she turned back to me, "Late night in the woods?" She asked and I was too shocked to even nod my head, let alone blink.
Halley slowly pulled her hand back from my mouth and then yanked me from Harry's grip, making him groan and trudge back upstairs, screaming a "Whatever!" down at Halley, along with "Give her back when you're done!"
I scoffed. He treated me like I was a piece of meat, like I was his property, even though I clearly wasn't. But then my thoughts fell back to Halley and I looked at her, confusion clear on my face, "Halley, what're you doing here? Did he kidnap-" She covered my mouth and shook her head.
"He didn't kidnap me, or you," I didn't even respond to that because I was sick of hearing it, and then for them to start some stupid speech that they'd randomly stop, so she continued, "Can you keep a secret for me?"
Quirking an eyebrow at her, I took a step back away from her, moving Halley's hand off my mouth, "What secret?"
"First off, my name is Rebekah.."
End of flashback:
And that's how I found out the one person I thought I could trust in this house was lying to me. A for longer than I even would've guessed. But the stupid part is she wouldn't tell me everything about the place I was in, or the people who lived here. She said it was Harry's job to tell me, and if I really wanted, or needed, to know he would. It doesn't really matter though, I don't plan on staying much longer.
Last, and least, there's Harry. My original kidnapper. How many times has he been a jerk? Several. How many times have I killed him with my eyes? Several, trust me. How many times has he done the same to me? Surprisingly, none. How many times have we screamed at each other? About thirty.. in the past hour.
He's a pain in the ass, that's the least I can say. The good thing is he leaves me alone a lot. With the door locked, but still. I'm in his bedroom, on his windowsill. At first we he left it unlocked I thought I'd be able to leave, but his bedroom is on the forth story up, yes they live in a mansion, lucky bastards, and I don't want to break any bones.
"Maybe you should get out of the windowsill?" I heard Louis' voice invade my ears and quickly jerked around to see him, slipping in the process and falling out of the window. Back into the bedroom, thank God.
Louis was walking through the doorway, closing it behind himself, with a pained look on his face. "Hey Alice.." He said steadily, I just glared at him as I sat up and walked over to Harry's bed. Which, since Harry wasn't in it, was my new home.
I got under the covers and hid myself, pulling them up above my head. "I know you don't like it here," Louis continued and I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the right side, away from me. Good. I scoffed and dug my head into one of the pillows, which had the same smell Harry did. But since it wasn't exactly Harry, it was better.
You see? I hate him that much.
Louis sighed, jerking the covers away from me and I groaned. "Go away," my words came out muffled because I spoke them into the pillow.
Dumb asshole didn't listen. "Just give it a chance, okay? Harry's not that bad a guy.."
"Not that bad a guy?!" I screeched and jumped up into a sitting position, glaring daggers at the one who seemed to be Harry's best friend and therapist, "He fucking kidnapped me, and won't let me leave! Did I mention I haven't eaten all day?! And probably longer! I'm starving, he doesn't give a shit! And don't you dare tell me to give it a chance, I just want to go home!" By the time I was done there were tears threatening to spill over, I would not cry in front of Louis. Ever.
"Give it a chance.." He whispered, getting up and leaving me alone in the room once again. I heard the familiar click of the door being locked and sighed, falling back into the pillows. Maybe I was a little harsh on Louis, oh fucking well, he deserved it.
~.~.~ Later that night;
I stared at the door, really wanting it to just magically open and have no one else be in this house. I just really wanted to go home. But I knew until these people put their guard down I wouldn't be able to. Escapes aren't that easy. Just ask all the people in prison.
Then I heard the click and my hopes rose, until a tray slowly came inside and the door closed again, the click signaling who'd ever put the tray in here had also locked me back up. I groaned, I was like a caged animal now.
With a sigh, I got up from my place on the floor and walked to the tray, bending down to see it was plain silver. My reflection shown in it and there was a small folded up note. I picked it up, straightening out my back and brought my thumb over the silk-like paper. It was smooth, velvet almost. I spun it over in my hands before opening it up and reading over the cursive writing inside it,
Alice,
I know I'm being a jackass. But Louis hit me and told me to make you a nice meal. And to NOT eat it with you. So I'm doing that. Enjoy.

I set the note down, and opened the tray as my stomach growled just at the mention of food. This will be the only time I ever thank Louis, or Harry. That's for sure.
