Fix His Collar
Chapter Three
Alice's Dream:
Harry stepped out into the sunlight, his thick black Ray Bans shielding his eyes from the brightness of the early morning. A small girl was perched in his arms, she couldn't be more than four or five, maybe six at most. With her blonde curls up in a small bun. She was in a bathing suit as Harry walked along, shirtless, only black board shorts on.
He was making his way to the pool when the small girl lifted her head from his shoulder, "Daddy.." the girl whispered, staring at her father's stone hard facial expression.
It immediately softened as she spoke, her small british accent cascading into his ears as he looked at her through his sunglasses, "Yes, Princess?" The small girl giggled, squirming in her father's arms.
"Is Momma okay?" Her voice got smaller, shakier as she squirmed more, moving her eyes all around Harry's face.
"Why wouldn't she be?" A new voice asked just as Harry came to the pool, both his and the small girls eyes landed on the new speaking figure, which was the one and only Louis. Niall was under the water in the pool, but as he saw the small girl he came up, his thick blonde hair sticking to his forehead, droplets of water falling from them. Liam was just now coming out, stopping beside Louis and handing his mate a cold beer.
Before the girl could speak, Niall spoke up, "Hey Darcy, Haz, where's Ali?"
Harry's eyes widened under the sunglasses but he quickly composed himself and answered his questioning friend, "She wasn't feeling well, she be out in a bit." The three other boys nodded, Louis opening his beer and sipping from the top as he plopped down into a chair.
Darcy pushed on her Dad's chest, trying to get down from him, but failing as his grip slightly tightened around her. A small frown played on her small but plump pink lips as she turned her head to see her Uncle's. "I heard Momma screaming. And den Daddy and Momma's bed was hitting the wall.."
Louis and Niall shared a look with each other before bursting into laughter and Liam raised both his eyebrows at Harry. All Harry did was make a curved smile, hiding Darcy's face with his hand, "Darcy, I told you not to.." He whispered to her, chuckling lightly.
"So, Haz, sick or sore?" Louis asked, calming down from his bit of laughter and quirking an eyebrow at his exmate, wiggling them straight afterward.
Slowly, Harry set Darcy on the ground, watching as she waddled over to the pool, Niall was waiting at the edge for her and he scooped her up in his arms, walking further into the pool with her. Harry turned back to Louis, "Erm... sore..." he answered honestly, nodding his head.
It merely sent the boys into another fit of laughter.
End of dream, back to reality, Harry's POV: (yay!!)
I set Alice down on one of the spare beds in the second bedroom upstairs, no one barely comes in here, so it will be easy for me to hide her a few days. Unless she puts up a fuss. Which I bet she will. With a groan, I lifted a blanket up above her chest, tucking her in tightly, and walked toward the door. I looked back at her once as she tossed onto her side, sighing in her sleep as she cuddled into the pillow, clutching it tightly to her chest.
Honestly, I didn't know why I was so infatuated with her in the first place. I already had a mate, which was Louis, even though he didn't Mate back on me, I knew I'd Mated on him. He'd Mated to Eleanor, a new wolf to our clan. She didn't bother me much so I just left it be.
With a sigh of my own, I opened the door, pulling it back and walked out, closing it tightly behind me. I looked down both sides of the hallway, seeing no one standing at either side and headed back for the staircase. Which I took downstairs.
No one was in the living room, so I went to the kitchen. And sure enough, there was Megan, along with Genevieve. "Where's everyone else?" I questioned, smirking at the two of them. Dropping my eye down in a wink at Megan, who rolled both hers in return.
"Louis and Eleanor went out hunting, I believe, and Rebekah will be back soon enough. She's always out until exactly dawn unless it's a Friday, or weekends, you know this Harry." She rolled her eyes at me as well, and opened the fridge, grabbing the left over spaghetti I'd made and making herself a plate, sticking it in the microwave and starting the time.
I leaned against the entrance, "What about Liam? And Niall?"
She merely shrugged. "I have a better question, for you."
My heart must've picked up because Megan smirked this time, keeping her back to me in the process. "What is.. it?" I questioned slowly, trying to stall myself some time. I knew what was coming now.
Gene, which was what I called Genevieve, caught my green orbs and slowly spoke, making sure I heard every word, "Who.. is.. the.. new.. human.. Hazza?" It stung a little when she called me 'Hazza'. Louis did that when he'd thought he'd Mated on me, she knew it would crack me.
Bitch, I thought, groaning internally. But she was my Alpha, so I couldn't really say that to her. "I found her, I took her. It's my business." I practically growled, just about to leave the room when she spoke up again.
"You could've mated to her, Harry," her tone was sad; and I knew why. She'd lost her mate, which was our original Alpha, Zayn. We'd vowed to kill whoever had taken him out, and I promised myself I'd be the one to do it. Not just because they killed my alpha, but because I knew when the time came, Genevieve wouldn't be able to do it. She really never was a killer. She was feisty, yea, but not a killer.
I groaned, turning back to her. "Impossible-"
I couldn't finish, as Rebekah, who'd just walked in had interrupted me, "Because I'm Mated to Louis, he just isn't Mated back," she quoted me, chuckling after she'd finished. I nodded my head, trying to ignore the fact she made me sound like a little girl, who was heartbroken.
"Oh but you are Hazzabear," Megan spoke up. I groaned, damn mind reading!
"He is what?" Genevieve asked, looking at me, then back at Megan as she took a bite from her tune fish sandwich. Gross. I scrunched my nose, taking a step back out of the room.
She merely shrugged and continued to eat, Rebekah spoke up again, "They probably are Mated.. I could-" I didn't listen to her finish the sentence, as I flipped them all off and left the room. I walked to mine, stripping from all my clothes and hopping into the shower. Letting the steamy water slide down my back and through my think curls. I just sat there, thinking, staring blankly at the shower head as water rained down on me.
We couldn't be Mated. I was positive that I was Mated to Louis and besides, even if we were, I refused to be Mated to a human, I'd rather be a Lone Wolf. And that's like signing your own Death Certificate. I sighed, shampooing my hair and raising it out thoroughly. I cleaned my body, making sure not to leave a single speck of dirt. Damn runs in the forest can do a number on my human body.
I climbed out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my lower half and shaking my head, getting my curls as dry as I could at the moment. I side swept them over and left the bathroom, going back into my room. When I walked in I froze in my spot, Louis was sitting on the edge of my bed, his hands clasped together as he stared at the wall behind me.
"Hey Hazza," he spoke quietly, his eyes flickering to me before going back to the wall. I rolled my eyes, turning away from him and walking over to my dresser. I grabbed a pair of boxers, letting go of my towel and letting it slip down to my ankles. It wasn't anything Louis hadn't saw before so I wasn't even the bit ashamed.
I slipped on my boxers, turning back around to face him, "Yes, Lou? I was just about to go to bed so if you don't mind.." That's how I was since the 'break up', I tried my hardest to avoid him at all costs. And most of the time it words. But this was the first time he was actually this near me, trying to speak to me.
He caught my gaze, "Shouldn't you feed that girl first?" He tilted his head to the side, smirking over at me. Great, everyone probably knew now.
With a groan, I turned back to my dresser, grabbing a pair of gym shorts and slipping the fabric on. "Yea, in the morning, when it's actually time to eat. She's sleeping right now, right?" I turned back to him, quirking my eyebrow at him. He nodded and before he could speak I spoke, "Good. Get out."
I saw Louis' face saddened, but he nodded again and slowly got up, making his way to the door, he pulled it open, getting ready to take a step into the hall, when he looked over his shoulder at me, "I still want to be best friends, Harry, is that really too much to ask?" His eyes teared up and before I could respond, he'd left the room, and slammed my door behind him.
