Chapter Seventeen

Heidi POV

I couldn’t sleep all night so naturally when morning came, I was welcomed with a lovely headache. I rubbed my temple in pain and groaned as I got up to go and fetch some Advil and a glass of water. As I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, I happened to notice someone standing outside Louis’ door down the street through my window.

I quickly gulped down the small tablet and water and sneaked around to the side of the window trying not to get caught.

I instantly recognised those long brown curls and the short miniskirt. What was Christa doing at Louis’ house? She stood there patiently tapping her foot with her arms crossed over her chest waiting for someone to open the door. A few seconds later, someone finally opened the door and to my surprise, it was Harry. He must stay over at Louis’ quite a lot. Now it all made sense why Christa was here. To flirt with Harry.

I saw them talking for a little bit before Harry motioned inside the house to let her in which she shook her head to.

I love seeing his face when he gets rejected! I start to laugh out loud at the mere thought of his face outside of the door yesterday when I slammed the door in his face. I wipe at my eyes as I continue watching their conversation.

I saw them talking a bit more before she whispered something in his ear causing him to shift uncomfortably. However he shook this off and showed her his pearly whites in a perfect smile showing his dimples. Ahhh those dimples…. NO HEIDI. STOP.

Then out of nowhere, she grasped his face in her hands and yanked it down before crashing her lips to his. He stood there wide eyed for a second before fluttering his eyes and kissing back.

I felt like someone and punched me in the face repeatedly making me feel nauseous. I felt the room shake for a moment so I quickly grasped to the side of the wall for support. Why was I feeing like this?!

It’s called jealousy STUPID.

I shook my head. It’s probably because of my headache. I swiftly walked from the heated scene in front of me before I literally did throw up all over the floor.

It wasn’t jealousy was it? I mean I lost all of my love for Harry once I left….
Besides I can’t love him, he hurt me too much and now needs to pay for it and that is exactly what I am going to do, I thought as I trudged up the stairs.

Around 20 minutes later and I was ready. I didn’t take long as I really could not be bothered to get all dressed up after yesterday. I skip into the kitchen and grab the first piece of food I see which happens to be an apple, as I grab my keys and walk out of the door.

I stand outside my front door looking straight at Louis’s house where Christa and Harry were. The mere thought of them together caused the nauseous feeling to return. What’s happening to me?! I decide I needed to go to town and just have a moment to get my head straight and rid of all of these feelings going through my body.

I walk down the street while munching on my apple every so often. The street is quiet as usual but not a creepy kind of quiet like on my first day here. It was a nice and peaceful quiet enough to put a smile on my face as I walked. I felt….content.

As soon as I hit the outskirts of the city centre I stopped. I honestly had no clue where I wanted to go now. I guess there is only one place that I can go to then…STARBUCKS!

I literally ran toward the building while tossing my apple into the bin on my way, completely ignoring the strange feeling in my stomach that would not go away after I saw Harry and Christa this morning.

Get a grip Stevens! I scold at myself as I walk into the crowded building. I stand in the line awaiting to take my order. I looked around the place to see if I could see anyone familiar. As I look around the room, I notice a pair of Hazel eyes already staring at my own. We stare at each other for a moment before I am cut off by the clearing of a throat from the person behind me signalling me to take my order. I quickly order and take my coffee with me to try to find an empty seat at the back of the place somewhere so I can get some peace and time to myself. As I walk, I feel a pair of eyes staring at me from the back of my head.

I finally find an empty seat and sit down while sighing to myself in content. I lay my head back against the plush chair and close my eyes while grasping my hot coffee trying to take in as much warmth as I could.

I hear shuffling in from in front of me but I try to block out everything around me and try to get all of these feelings away from me so I can solely concentrate on revenge and not let feelings get in the way.

I hear the clearing of a throat near me and I groan as I open my eyes and I am a little surprised as I see the same guy that was staring at me earlier on. What a surprise! But I had to admit, he was kinda cute! I hear a deep chuckle erupt from this mysterious boy. I stare at him in confusion awaiting an explanation from him.

“Hey there babe. I’m Dan what’s your name?” he says understanding my confusion while smiling warmly at me. I hesitate to reply at first which Dan here clearly sees.

“Don’t worry, I don’t bite!” he says while coming a little closer to me.

“Much…” he whispers while winking at me. My silence causes him to chuckle. I decide to be social even though I reaaallllyyy did not want to.

“Hey I’m Adriana.” I say politely while sticking out my hand waiting for him to shake it. Instead he ignores this and pulls me into an awkward hug over the small table. I quickly sit back down and blush at his forwardness. This is exactly what I needed to get my mind off of things for a while. A distraction….

“So I heard you’re new around here, how are you finding it here?” he asks trying to make conversation but it comes out a little flirty. How does he make one sentence sound extremely sexy? I gulp down the dryness in my throat before continuing.

“Yeah its ok I guess but it’s a little quiet, everyone seems to be minding their own business around here.” I manage to croak out. He sees my uneasiness and smirks. Goddamn that smirk!

“Yeah I guess it is.” He says staring straight in my eyes. I shoot him a small smile suddenly feeling all shy. Daffuq is wrong with me now?! Man I am messed up!

My little bubble is popped when I hear small moans erupt from behind where Dan was sitting. I quickly avert my gaze to where they had come from and to my shock, I saw no other than Christa and Harry…making out…in public right in front of me. She was straddling him while he was sat on a chair holding her butt.

They must have come here after I saw them this morning. Well no shit! But seriously, who does that in public?! It’s just soo gross! And why is nobody saying anything?!

I feel a sudden wash of anger inside me. I didn’t know if I was jealous or just sick of them but I had had it with their PDAs! Dan here clearly didn’t notice anything unusual about me as he was focusing his gaze on my boobs. Perv…

I suddenly see Harry’s emerald green eyes flutter open and look directly into mine. I must have been imagining things but I swear I saw guilt and regret with a hint of anger (probably from last night) wash over his features but I couldn’t care less. I was here for revenge right? Well this is the perfect opportunity!

I quickly avert my gaze back to Dan who was now looking at me again and not my boobs. I quickly reached out in front of me and grasped either side of Dan’s perfectly chiselled face and yanked it forward as his lips came crashing onto mine….
