lilies pov
9:00pm came and went and me and maisy were beginning to gain hope that there was going to be no attack but we had spoke to soon....
screams could be heard from outside and all of a sudden a loud bang sounded downstairs followed by the screams of maisies mum and dad.
"lily we have to go" maisy cries
"but what about your mum and dad?" i say
"we have to go we will never stand a chance againt the attackers" maisy replies
"ok then" i sigh as we begin to make our way out of the window and into the woods on our escape...

maisy's pov
as we make our way into the woods leaving the distant screams behind us I begin to feel tears building in my eyes because I know that I shouldn't have left my parents but I know in my heart it was what my parents would have wanted.
lost deeply in my thoughts I barely even notice the slight rustling in the bushes behind me and I only register it when lily gets my attention...
"maisy did you hear that" lily whispers in my ear.
"no..." I start to say but i'm cut off as all of a sudden out of nowhere 5 boys that looked slightly older than us knoked us to the floor..
