Challenges In Our Marriage
Chapter 6
The Buchannan family would like to invite most of New York society, in welcoming their long lost daughter who left six years ago on a very long vacation to France. The Buchannan family was seen at JFK airport welcoming their daughter Jacqueline. It no surprise that New York would be more interesting now, with the returned of their favourite New Yorker.
One month later......
After they had returned from London, they had a serious talk with Aria’s school and the teachers were more scared because Harry gave them a clear order his kids safety and even treated to sue the school if someone bullies his daughter and the school act as a blind eye again.He was still fuming about Levi, but Rose managed to calm him down and he now realised that Aria and Levi could bond as friends, and that Levi wasn’t interested in Aria because he think that Aria was too much of a ‘Daddy’s girl’. Eddie was seriously sick with fever, which scared both Harry and myself to death, but they later found out that it because his body was still developing too many other aspect of the changing different environments but with medications, he was feeling better and all active and everything was back to normal.
In the morning after breakfast, Harry left early for work because he had an early morning meeting with some business partners, that he needed his attention and also his children. After kissing his family goodbyes, Harry left for work as he made plans to make it up to his children because it was Aria’s first day back at school and it was Eddie first day at Kinder, he was supposed to start when he was two years old but Rose was too scared to trust their son care into the hands of strangers besides family, and she thought that he had the biggest trust issues.
After Harry had left home, Rose had to drive the Aria to school before taking Eddie to kinder; she was scared about Eddie being out of her side. But she knows that Eddie would be fine, because she had befriended one of the childcare staffs. After dropping Aria at school, giving her a goodbye kiss almost brought Rose to tears up, but Aria like to act like she was the mature daughter. Leaving Eddie at the childcare facility was the hardest thing that Rose had even done in my life.She when in to her car, and she couldn’t stop crying luckily Harry called as she cried into the phone.
Hearing, Rose crying caused Harry to ache, he just wanted to be with her, hold her while he kissed away her tears and whispered tenders words to her. But he couldn’t and the business transgression was taking longer than he had hoped for.
When Rose got home, she took their dog Max out for a jog to calm herself down, with the morning air and fog wet the edges of her hair and plastered it to her face as she ran with Max. She loved this time of the day just to compose herself from all the fuss that is around her till she gets back to work. Her thoughts were interrupted by the phone, she looked at the caller on it was her husband checking up on her since she had being crying after dropping the kids off at school. She told him that she was running with Max around their neighbourhood. “Did you stop running?” he asked.
Rose glanced down the deserted area to tie Max down and placed her hand on her hip. “Yeah,” she said as her breath hissed. Harry groaned.
“What is it?”
“You want an honest answer?”
“Always.” She turned to the breeze and forced her breath to slow down.
“Between the heavy breathing and that voice of your, I’m having a hard time sitting still.”
Her heart gave a hard kick in her chest. She sucked in her lower lip. “Well then, I won’t describe what I’m wearing or how I look and ruin your fantasy.”
Harry chuckled. “I’m sure that you would enlighten my fantasy at home, when I returned from work.”
Rose glanced around smiling. “Maybe.” Before she added, “Oh, and Harry?”
“Yeah.”
She dipped her voice even lower and breathed into the phone. “I’m all hot and sweaty too.”
“Errrrr.” His groan vibrated her earpiece. After he hung up, Rose smiled at the wisdom of flirting with her husband. She smiled simply enjoying the thought of her flirting with her husband now than before when he was just a man who showed interested in her a business proposal partner, she thought as she walked home with Max.
When the doorbell rang, she twisted around and opened it on impulse. Midswing, she realised she was probably inviting an undesired picture, one that would have Harry shaking his head when he gets back from work. The person was no other but worse, Jacqueline, his ex-socialite girlfriend.
The woman staring back at her was everything Rose was not. She had blonde hair so pure it couldn’t possibly come from bottle, high cheekbones, and brilliant blue eyes. Long legs peeked out beneath a tailored silk skirt. Well, Harry had good taste in women, she’d give him that. But after six years what was she doing by coming to their house? Rose thought. Well if she is looking to have Harry back then she is more stupid than Rose thought. So Rose lifted up her new wedding ring for Jacqueline to see that Harry was taken by her.
