Challenges In Our Marriage
Chapter 4
Harry woke up to the sound of their children, and he knew that if one of them doesn’t wake up they would not stop it like their waking up tradition. He wake up and catch Eddie who was crawling on his torso. “Ok I am wake, but please let go outside and leaving mummy to sleep okay.”
“Yeah, dada,” said Eddie, as Harry kissed his forehead.
“Good morning, dad,” said Aria before sitting next to Harry. Harry looked at his two children and couldn’t believe how much his life had been transformed in the last six years. Harry kissed Aria’s forehead before ushering them to leave the room. They walked in the room and Dennis and his brother Levi were setting breakfast on the table.
“Good morning, Mr. Styles,” said Dennis before walking out of the room, but Harry couldn’t help but noticed Levi staring at his daughter and Aria had a light blush on her cheek. It was one thing for Harry at a young age having crushes on girls, but it was another thing for a boy, who is the same age as his daughter, to make his daughter blush. In Harry’s lifetime he had been with so many girls, or woman and all of them became statistics except for one, his wife Rose. Harry wasn’t ready for his daughter to be a statistic in a man life. He kept on staring between Aria and Levi, till Levi realised that Harry had seen everything, before he run outside of the cottage.
When Aria turned around she had the look of confusion, but Harry knew his daughter, as she walked up to her.
“Dad, do you know why, Levi always stares at me with a weird expression?” Aria asked Harry, as they sat down on the table.
“Aria, maybe you should ask him, he is where for holiday.”
“Are you sure dad?”
“Sure, sweetie.”
“Sure about what?” asked a voice coming toward the table.
“Morning mum,” said Aria as she run to greet Rose, as she carried Eddie on her hip. Rose walked toward the table and placed Eddie on his high baby chair. Rose could tell the look on Harry’s face that she had interrupted his conversation with Aria. But Rose already knew what the conversation was about, Harry was jealous and over the top protective when it comes to Aria and herself.
“Aria, could you please get my phone for the room, please.”Rose asked as Aria gave a slight nod before leaving.
“So, you’re worried about Levi’s intentions for Aria? Harry, she is ten years old. I don’t think she needed a boy relationship now.”
“Yes, she is ten, Rose I know that part well and the way I see it, she wouldn’t be dating till she is at least twenty-five years.”
“That just too far, Harry?”
“Well to be honest, Rose I am scared when it comes to Aria, but as her father it my job to protect her.”
“Protect her from what? So that what you did in your youth days doesn't repeat itself to your daughter?”
“Rose, I love you but just drop it.” Harry said as he leaned toward Rose and kissed her.
“Okay, well I have a bad news to deliver.”
“So what this bad news?” asked Harry.
“Chloe and Chase called to inform us that they are moving to France. Because Chase had his job there now and he wanted them to move over there.”
“What? Does Aria know about this?”
“I’m not sure Harry, but Aria would be devastating because Danny and Belle are her two best friends.”
Ever since, Aria became part of their lives, the Sullivans had been a great friend toward them. Rose spends most of her free times with Chloe and the kids, while they play around. Whenever Rose or Harry are not around or they travelled, Aria always stayed over at their place.
“Mum? Are aunty Chloe and Uncle Chase moving with Danny and Belle?” asked Aria, who was in tears. Rose walked toward her daughter and pulled her into a hug. She hates to see Aria upset or sad, but this was something neither her or Harry could help with, “Aria, I am sorry but they are moving to France.”
Aria just nodded her head and head toward the door and ran out. Both Harry and Rose stood there in shock as they came to realised every parent’s worst nightmare. Rose didn’t know what emotion to tackle because she had a mixed emotions running wild in her mind. Rose felt Harry arms as they pulled her into a hug, Rose could no longer keep the tears in as she released them into Harry’s t-shirt.
“Don’t worry, Rose she would be back before you know it. She just needs to calm down.” Rose could tell from Harry’s terrified voice that he was unsure about his words.
Aria POV
Aria ran into the far end behind the cottage, when her legs couldn’t carry her anymore as she sank to the ground and cried. She cried because her two best friends where moving to friends. She was too scared to tell her parents that she was being bullied at school because she was not Harry’s biological daughter. Danny and Belle wouldn’t be there to stand up for her, whenever she gets bullied. She wouldn’t be able to play dress up or tea parties with Belle anymore, they wouldn’t be able to play prank on Danny, whenever his friends are over to play. It was now going to be her alone, with Eddie.
Aria sat there for hours crying, till her tears finally dried out. Her head was rested on a cold rock, when she felt someone walking toward her.
“You should head back because your parents are looking for you.”
“Just leaving me alone.”
“Fine, but I always come over here to fish sometimes by the lake so yeah,” the voice said. Aria wiped away her tears, as she looked toward the voice and came face to face with Levi, holding a guitar.
“Well you can sit there and cry while I play my guitar. Then you head back to your parents okay. Deal?”
“Fine.”
“Yeah, dada,” said Eddie, as Harry kissed his forehead.
