Challenges In Our Marriage

Gwen POV

While she was texting Liam about her being in America and how she missed being at their house with Skyler.
The night after Harry has a surprised married for Mel, when she and Lillian went back to their hotel Skyler was left in front of their hotel room door with a note and a few things to change her. The note described the fact that she can’t have a baby and that Skyler was official her daughter but later Gwen would be able to reconcile with her father. Lillian and Gwen had both kept the secret for a while, till Gwen decided that investigate the issues just in case Skyler mum decided to take her back.

Liam had been suspicious toward her behaviour because she was acting weird and completely gave up on partying. Liam wanted to have a relationship with Gwen but she was scared about his reaction toward Skyler. From the moment Liam found out about Skyler he was ready to take their relationship to the next step, he wanted Gwen and Skyler to move in with him.

Since Gwen and Skyler, things between her and Liam were going great till the private investigator told her who Skyler mother is, Danielle. Danielle was Liam ex-girlfriend. Gwen was scared to tell him about it and that why she came to asked Mel for advice and also to plan her niece birthday party with is tomorrow.
Her thoughts were interrupted when her phone beep with a text and an image of Skyler. Gwen couldn’t help but smile.

“Well well, someone is in a happy mood,” said Mel who walked out with Harry.
“Well at least I wasn’t crying,” Gwen teased back at Mel who sticked her tongue out. Harry just laughed and Gwen was happy that whatever decision he was about to take she had stopped him before he regrets it later.
“So why were you smiling,” asked Mel.
Gwen just opened up to Liam previous message with the image of Skyler and showed it to Mel and Harry.

“OMG, Gwen she is so beautiful and looks at those eyes. Damn she is going to one cute teenage girl,” said Mel. Gwen couldn’t control the happiness that she felt inside that she had a second chance at being a mother.
“Well I would leave you two to catch up,” said Harry as he gave Gwen a peck on her cheek before settling on a hot heated kiss to his wife.
“Melrose Miranda Styles, you better start talking now, and where is that crazy brother of mine is going?”

“Okay, I’m just happy Harry gave me my spare ring but I need to find the original one. Plus Aria’s birthday is tomorrow and your brother is travelling to New York for some program.”
“Okay I have something to say but we are going to need Lillian in this too.”
They quickly Skype, Lillian who was all glam up because of her photo shoot in Manhattan, “This call better be good,” she said. No greeting or anything that just Lillian.
“Well Skyler is Danielle and I don’t know how to tell Liam,” said Gwen and the next thing she heard was the sound of a shattered glass which Mel was holding.

“See this is why she would make a good actress instead of a lawyer, her emotions are all over the place,” said Lillian, who Mel gave the middle finger.
“Just simply tell him before it too late,” said Mel. If only Mel words were easy she would have done that in a heartbeat but it not.
“So everything is start for Aria’s party?” asked Lillian before she added, “And Mel, they kids and Lucy are here with me and we would be there in the morning to get the party started.”

Liam POV

Ever since Gwen and Skyler moved in with Liam, he noticed something that was unusual. He was looking at his old photos and some of his sisters and noticed that they all had the same smiled and nose with Skyler and that worried him. Since Gwen hired a private investigator and he wasn’t doing anything to solve the missing puzzle, so Liam made an appointment with his doctor and took a paternity test.

While Gwen was out with Harry and his wife and Liam was looking after Skyler when he got the call from his doctor.
“Hello, Mr. Payne.”
“Hello, yes this is him.”
“Well congratulation you’re a baby to the little girl that you brought in a week ago for the test.”
Liam was shocked as he looked over Skyler who was playing with the blanket.
“Are you there Mr. Payne?”
“Yes, thank you so much.”
Liam walked over toward Skyler who was laughing as he picked her up and cuddle her.
“Hey you I’m your daddy,” he said as Skyler kept on laughing that when it all hit Liam, Skyler is eight month old, that only leaves one question who is the mother if he is the dad.
“OH SHIT, Danielle.”


Harry POV

Harry used to look forward to cocktail parties; they were often a breeding ground for a one-night stand or even longer affairs. As he walked around the room, overflowing with beautiful women, his thoughts were of his wife. Of Rose being by his side, where they could mingle, drink and comment about the different personalities in the room.
They day had brought some many smiles on their faces after the sort out the missing ring problem.

“Penny for your thoughts?” A familiar and unwanted voice sucked him out of his daydream. He straightened his shoulders, ready to face a woman scorned. “Jacqueline.”
Much taller than Rose, Jacqueline in heels nearly looked him in the eyes. As always, she was perfectly manicured, from the top of her blonde head to the tips of her toes peeking through the jewelled stilettos cradling her feet.
The sweet smile she wore used to work, but now it doesn’t.
“So nice of you to remember my name.”
He supposed he deserved that. “Don’t be ridiculous.” He kept his voice low and forced a smile on his face.

“I knew you were ruthless. I just never thought you were a coward. You could have told me about your plans when you visited me in France. I would have helped you out instead of that mousy woman you’re-“
Harry lifted the hand he held his drink in, cutting her off. “Have some respect, Jacqueline. Rose is my wife.”
“For how long, Harry?” she whispered leaning in. His gaze narrowed, but his smile never fell. “Green isn’t a good color on you.”
Jacqueline’s lips fell into a tight line. “Jealous? Of her?” Her snide laugh brought a few eyes from the crowd toward them. “You’ve tied yourself to a commoner. Trusting her with your last name will be your down fall.”

“Thanks for your concern.” The calmer he was, the more upset Jacqueline became. How had he not seen this side of her when they’d been together?
“Woman like her won’t be happy until they own your soul. You’ll wish it was me you’d asked to be your wife.” She said her piece and stood back.
Harry leaned in so only she could hear his retort. “The only thing I wish for, Jacqueline, is that I’d met Rose before meeting you.” It was ugly, but he’d had enough of Jacqueline’s venom spewing about his wife.

Instead of splashing a glass full of liquor in his face, Jacqueline did something unexpected. A sick smile spread over her lips, so if she held the world in her hands. “Oh my. You do care for the girl. Even better. Enjoy the pain, Harry.” Then she walked away.
Could Jacqueline have sense the problem in his marriage?

Aria POV

Being in Manhattan, with Aunt Lillian, Lucy, Eddie and my two best friends Belle and Danny was amazing.We all did some photo shoot for Aunt Lillian kids clothing line, then had lunch at a beautiful restaurant. While Aunty was organising something, while Aria was sure that it was her birthday gift, Lucy took them to the mall and watched the new Disney movie Frozen.
It was at night when they finally returned to the hotel, and Aunt Lillian had heaps of bags lining up in the foyer. Aria was about to sneak a peek when a voice called out. “Don’t even think about it, missy,” said Lucy as she pushed Aria toward the bathroom.

“Bath, than bed. Tomorrow is going to be a big day and you need to rest.”
“Night, Aunt Lucy and Aunt Lillian.”
“Night, Kid,” they both replied as she made her way toward the bathroom.
Just hours till I turned the big 1 and 0,” said Aria. She was so excited that she couldn’t stop laughing.
