CHAPTER 20: i'm walking on sunshine
Julie’s P.O.V
I whispered the last part “I love you” he looked at me, and then turned around, it’s like he was thinking of what he should do. And he rather make that decision without looking at me. I stood there hoping that he would forgive me and…..well he don’t have to forgive my mother. I stood there now, nothing to do but pay attention to the music he was playing.
“Cuz there be no sunlight if I lose
You baby, there be no clear skies
Then out of nowhere he turns around walks towards me and kisses me passionately and hard on the lips. He then picks me up and twirls me around, I laughed out of happiness.
*background music*
“Cuz just like the clouds my eyes will do
The same, if you walk away, aye, aye, aye
*song ends*
He puts me down, and grabs my face between his hands. “I love you more” then he reeled in for a long, slow passionate kiss.

We walked back together to his house in the rain. I love the rain. I’ll never ever forget what happened in that gym.
We came back to my house, I told Harry to wait outside as I grab my keys. I walk towards the door, my heart beat was increasing and my hands were getting sweaty. I didn’t know what to expect, I mean I’m not coming back here. I should say my goodbye’s now and give my mom’s heart a break. I reached for the door—but it opened and out came pouring my mom and dad.
“Oh, sweetheart” my mom came and gave me a huge hug.
“Hey pumpkin” dad pat me on the back, since mom was smothering me with kisses and tight hugs.
“I thought something had happen to you, don’t you ever do that!”
She released me from her over exaggerated hug.
“Well you don’t have to worry about that anymore”
“Good” she came in for another hug. “Because I’m moving out”
She stepped back, with her mouth wide open and her eye twitching.
“He put you up to this didn’t he?”
“No mom. I made this decision. For me, Harry.”
“Why? Baby why are you doing this to your mother?”
“Doing what? Going out and getting a life?” I walked around here so I can grab my keys out the bowl on the table by the window. I turned around to walk out and she slammed and locked the door.
“You’re not going anywhere, especially with that boy!” she started walking towards me with fake tears in her eyes “So you thought he was innocent when, he was just a boy who saved a nerd huh? You thought that I would never find anybody that’s why you’ve always worried about Melissa more than me!”
I tried to walk around her again but she still wouldn’t let me through.
“I gave birth to you, I brought you into this world I can take you out” she was looking at me now with vengeance in her eyes, along with trying to win this fight. “If love me, then why can’t you let me go?” she looked at me now, with sadness. She knew that’s the same line she used on Harry and now she knows how it feels to be used on her.
“Huh mom I can’t hear you, now you know how it feels! Once I leave this house you have two options.” She sat down on the couch lost in thought, while my dad held her. “You can like my boyfriend and be the normal mother you were and not treat Harry like he’s some creep or I can be gone out of your life completely without one word.”

Harry’s P.O.V
I waited outside for a long time; I decided to sit on the curb. I wonder what their talking about. Me?Of course their talking about me! I can’t wait to see this go around school. Wait! I don’t care I don’t care at all, if this goes around school. I found the one I love and that’s all that matters, I got up from the side of the curb. My butt was getting wet and cold. I walked over to lean up against her car. I accidently turned on the alarm.
Within a few minutes they all came storming out with frustration looks on their face. I stuffed my hands in my pockets and tried to be innocent. “Sorry”
Julie face switched from frustration to laughing. Then her dad started laughing. Her mom looked at me than back at Julie, she was making a decision I could tell. Then she laughed and waved me in. Oh god I hope she wasn’t faking. I took my time to get up there preparing for the questions they were going to ask. Julie and her mom went in first.
“C’mon son” her dad pat me on the back, there was that word “son” he called me it again.
*1 month later*
Julie’s P.O.V
“…..Julie Williams” I walked down the aisle. Everybody moving their feet in allowing me to go through, I turn and walk down the pathway up to the podium. My palms got sweaty and my heart started racing, I finally got to the podium. I adjusted the microphone so it was leveled; I looked out into the crowd. There were so many people!
But then my eye caught Harry’s, and everything was okay. My heart beat lowered and my palms were less sweaty. I can do this.
“When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answers were thing like astronaut, president, or in my case… princess.
When we were ten, they asked again and we answered - rock star, cowboy, or in my case, gold medalist. But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how 'bout this: who the hell knows?!
This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions; it’s time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere chill. Fall in love - a lot. Major in philosophy 'cause there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind. Then change it again, because nothing is permanent.
So make as many mistakes as you can. That way, someday, when they ask again what we want to be… we won't have to guess. We'll know."
Everybody clapped and I wasn’t so scared anymore, they liked it! They really liked it. I went over to grab my diploma while shaking other people’s hands. I walked off the stage and into the arms of Harry, he twirled me around and everybody smiled and laughed. He put me safely back on to the ground; I whispered out the corner of my mouth “Harry, everybody’s looking”
“Well then they can look love” He felt inside his pocket for something, and then brought out a black small box. My face got wide and I put my hands over mouth. The whole crowd gasps with excitement. He got down on one knee and rose the black box up towards me
“Julie coral Heart….will you marry me?” I froze. I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life, I day dreamed of this my whole life. I fucking planned this out in my journal in fifth period!!!! And now it’s coming true. He got off of his knee and slipped the ring on my finger, i knew exactly what to say now “Yes, yes of course I’ll marry you” I slammed into his body, giving him a huge hug. Everybody clapped out of excitement I looked towards my family and they were smiling too.
This is exactly where everything should be, perfect!
After 1,096 days
1 year and 6 months
He's finally mine.
And i'm finally not invisible anymore.
