CHAPTER 14: Disturbia
Julie’s P.O.V
I was back at my house now, snuggled up in the living room with my snuggie while watching the Titanic and sipping on hot chocolate. My parents were out on a date and Melissa was out with her boyfriend, she seems to always be gone I’ve noticed.
I paused the movie and walked over to the kitchen to wash and put my cup away, right when I slammed the cabinet I heard a noise……sound like it was coming from the back of the house. I looked around the kitchen for a sharp object I’ve seen this happen on movies so I took a few pointers.
I walked slowly rounding the corner of the stairs while holding the knife out in front of me like a sword. Then I heard the same noise again but it was coming from the front of the house now, I jumped around facing towards the front door. Nope, no I’m not going to be that person that goes to check who it is then next thing you know I’m dead like Drew Berrymore off of Scream.
I ran up the stairs quickly, my heart was beating fast I ran into my bedroom and closed the door locking it. I jumped into my bed and hid underneath the covers, Shit! I left my phone down stairs…Well I guess I can’t call the cops…..Wait! I just remembered my parents have a home phone in their room but? It was all the way in their room.
Yeah of course their room is right down the hallway but when you’re trying to not make a sound getting there, it’s pretty hard. I eased my door open; so far I haven’t heard any more noises but I had this feeling that they already got in. I started making my way for my parents room, walked quickly in and closed the door quietly, I eyed the phone.

Harry’s P.O.V
I was sitting on my bed listening to music, lost in dreaming about me and Julie’s life together. And just the thought that one day she’ll have her eyes on a little me…that would be in my heart forever. My music was cut off by the ringing of my phone, I saw Julie’s name appear I hurried and yanked out my ear phones; not wanting to waste one minute of me not picking up.
“Hey love, I was just th-“
“Shhhhh no Harry listen”
“What wrong?” I sat up on the bed something wasn’t right her voice was shaky and she was whispering.
“I’m in the house alone and I’m pretty sure somebody’s trying to break in”
“What? Okay love I want you to go in the bathroom and lock the door I’ll be there in 5minutes”
“Okay, please hurry I hear something coming up the steps”
Oh bloody hell nothing will touch her, I kept on what I had and slipped on some slippers…..Um no maybe I have to fight I threw on my sneakers and hopped into the car.

I called her one more time before as I pulled into her drive way she wasn’t answering anymore, what the hell? I looked up at her window there was a shadow and it sure’n hell didn’t look like Julie. I hopped out the car so fast I almost forgot to close the door I kicked the door but it was already opened, I looked around taking in my surroundings.

Julie’s P.O.V
I heard footsteps in my room, I squeezed the phone harder and harder my hands began to sweat and my breathing started getting heavier.
Somebody was in Melissa’s room now; obviously the person is looking for me because they walked in and out of each room without observing anything they were determined to find one thing and one thing only ME.
Whoever the person was, was now standing in front of my parents door the person tried to twist and get in but the lock wouldn’t budge they yanked at the door and kicked and punched it but the door still didn’t budge.
The person left the door alone and walked away I could hear the person walk down the steps to the kitchen but stopped and walked towards the front of the door and slammed it then walked back over to the kitchen.

Harry’s P.O.V
I hide under the steps as somebody was coming down; they were walking to the kitchen when they saw that the door was opened. Shit! I forgot to close it, caught up in trying to get to Julie, the person walk back over to the kitchen they searched around for something. I thought that they were going for a knife but I was wrong they went for a screw driver.
The person slammed the drawer close, but forgot to move its finger and slammed it. The person screamed “Shit!”
Wait?
I’ve heard that voice before, it was a guy.
But I couldn’t put a finger on it, but I knew I’ve heard that voice.
The guy walked up the steps, I removed myself from underneath the steps and traced in his footsteps. I peeked around the corner; He was trying to get inside Julie’s Parent’s bedroom….Why? What did he want in there?
While he was too busy unlocking the door I snuck slowly over to Julie’s room I walked over to her bathroom.
“Julie” I whispered I knocked on the door, the door fell open effortlessly. I checked underneath the bed, maybe she was stubborn and didn’t want to hide where I told her to, No she wasn’t under there. I was on my way to the closet when I heard the guy finally get in; I could hear the sound of the large door knob falling to the ground.
I really need to find Julie; He was now snooping around her parent’s room looking through everything and in closets. I moved over to Melissa’s room god she truly was a rebel, there were pictures of her in photo booths with different guys and some of them were pretty graphic.
I moved on looking underneath the bed, then my phone ringed again I hurried up and grabbed it as I slipped underneath the bed.
“Hello” I whispered
I heard sniffeling “Are you here?”
“Yes! I’m looking for you where are you?”
“I’m in the bathroom where else?”
“No you’re not I just checked you’re bathroom”
“I’m not in my bathroom”
I heard a pounding in the background of the phone that was echoing from her parent's room to Melissa’s room.
My world stopped the phone slipped out my hand on to the ground, breaking in to pieces spilling out the batteries. That’s why he was looking in there; my heart was pounding faster than I could think, I knew that I was going to have face this guy sooner or later.
