I Wish

"Isn't she lovely? Isn't she wonderful? Isn't she precious? Less than one minute old. I never thought through love we'd be making one as lovely as she. Isn't she lovely made from love?"

Jules woke up to the sound of someone singing. She was currently lying on the sofa. Her best friend, Sierra Latern, and her were watching movies all through last night. She must have fallen asleep during one of the films. Sierra probably stayed up. She's a night owl.

Jules sat up from the sofa and turned her waist along with her back, hearing cracks. She soon did the same with her neck, but not as roughly. She stood up and turned her head towards the singing.

Sierra was in front of the stove, cooking. She was wearing green and white underwear along with a lavender tank top. Jules didn't mind that she was wearing only underwear instead of pants in the morning. Sierra usually wore short shorts or underwear when she went to bed or when she was woke up in the early morning. It used to annoy her, but not anymore.

On the counter beside Sierra was her iPod Dock. Her iPod was currently playing 'Isn't She Lovely' by Stevie Wonder. Sierra always did love Stevie Wonder and it's all thanks to Harry Styles.

Sierra was in love with the X-Factor. When the girls were fifteen, they watched the seventh season of the X-Factor. Sierra would always have a sleep over at Jules house whenever it was on. They would stay up watching it. They still do. They really didn't have a choice since their other best friend, Liam Payne, auditioned and made it through.

They watched as he was put into a group with four other boys. One of them was Harry Styles. Sierra loved his audition when he sang 'Isn't She Lovely'. She found out it was by Stevie Wonder and started to listen to his music. She was devastated when she found out he didn't pull through, but was ecstatic when she heard he was put in the same group with Liam.

When they found out Liam's group 'One Direction' had come in third place and was signed a recorded deal from Simon Cowell, the girls were so happy. When they tried calling, he never picked up his cell phone. He then changed his number and didn't answer their Skype calls. He didn't even write!

Then they gave up. They decided that he wasn't their friend anymore. Sierra was the type of person who would forget easily. So she forgot about Liam after four months. Jules could never forget him. Liam and Jules had been friends ever since they were seven. They then met Sierra when they were eleven.

Sierra had put some eggs, bacon, and toast on two plates. Jules was guessing one of them was hers. Sierra hasn't acknowledged Jules yet. As Sierra turned around, she jumped and fell on the floor once she saw that Jules had awoken. Jules giggled and skipped around the sofa to Sierra.

Jules brought down her hand for Sierra to take. Sierra let a smirk enter her lips. She took Jules hand, only to pull her down with her. They both giggled. Their giggles died down and helped each other up. They walked into the kitchen and pulled forks out. They hopped onto the counter and began to eat their delicious food.

Jules wished she could cook like Sierra. Jules was a horrible cook. She didn't have any talents. The only thing she thought she was good at was drawing. Sierra could cook, sing, and dance. The only thing she couldn't do was watch kids. She would tear her hair out if she did. She couldn't draw either and she knew she couldn't.

"So, what's the agenda for today?" Jules asked. She plopped a piece of bacon in her mouth.

"Well, I have a hot date this late afternoon. Ian asked me out!" She grinned excitedly.

"Finally! He makes it obvious that he likes you. I love his American accent."

"I know! He's so adorable! He said he's cooking and we've tasted his cooking. So, I'll fix something up, put it in the fridge, come home and eat." She explained. Jules nodded, understanding.

The girls finished their breakfast and placed their dishes in the sink. Jules quickly reminded herself that she needed to wash the dishes. They walked into their room and decided to get ready for the day. The girls were okay with sharing a room.

The girls lived in a small apartment in New York City, United States. They moved out of their parent's house when they had enough money. They lived in the apartment for seven months so far. It had one living room, one kitchen, one bedroom, two bathrooms. They would have picked a larger apartment, but it had the right rental payment. For laundry, there was a laundry store across the street and Jules would do laundry there.

The girls had jobs to keep up with the bills, food, and rental payment. Sierra was a waitress at a local bar. Jules was a babysitter. Their life was normal. Well to them.

Their room had three doors. One door was the entrance to the room, the door on the right led to Jules's bathroom and the door on the left led to Sierra's bathroom.

Jules went to her dresser and picked out a white V-neck, a purple Jack Wills hoodie, and a pair of black skinny jeans. She entered the bathroom and stripped down. She looked at herself in the mirror.

Her eyes were hazel, but were browner and they were rimmed with black, long, thick eyelashes. Her hair went to her mid-back and was dark brown. Her lips were full and pink. Her cheekbones shown, not like others are showed. She was tan and slim. Her chest wasn't small nor was it huge. They were the perfect size to her. Her bum was small, like her figure. She was 5'4 and thought that was small for an eighteen year old.

She never thought of herself gorgeous or ugly. She thought her appearance was normal. Although people told her she was drop dead gorgeous, the complement didn't change her perspective of herself.

She turned the shower on and felt hot droplets fell onto her hand. She quickly grabbed two towels and placed them by the sink. She hopped into the shower, cleaning her hair and body.

She turned the water off and left the shower. She wrapped one of the towels around herself and the other towel in her hair, drying her hair slightly. After she dried her body and clothed herself, she took down the towel that was on hair. She blew dried her hair quickly with the plugged in blow dryer. She tied her hair after. She opened her makeup bag, pulling clear lip gloss and black eyeliner out. She placed the makeup on and left the bathroom.

She walked into the bedroom and saw Sierra on her side of the room, but her bed. She was wearing a long sleeved white jumper and white skinny jeans. She was currently zipping up her brown heelless boots.

"Hey, when's your date?" Jules curiously asked, closing the bathroom door behind her. Sierra looked up at Jules with her hazel eyes, except Sierra's eyes were greener. Sierra's eyes lit up when Jules brought up the date.

"You were asleep and I decided to make breakfast when you woke up and that was at 4:40 pm. We got ready and since we're girls. We have to look good ya know, so it takes a while," Sierra flicked her hair, making Jules giggle. "Anyway, now it's 5:10 pm. I leave for my date at 6:00 pm."

Sierra smiled, but immediately frowned when she noticed at what she said, "OH MY GOD! I ONLY HAVE FIFTY MINUTES TO GET READY!"

Sierra ran into her closet, throwing multiple clothes everywhere. Jules smiled and rolled her eyes playfully. Jules went to help her friend get ready for her date.
