-Harry’s POV-

As we entered Charlotte and Lydia’s apartment Charlotte and Niall we’re dancing to some slow song, while Charlotte was crying.
My first thought was that Niall had upset her again, but I quickly shut my thoughts up. I’d ruined their relationship enough... It was time to let her go.

They stopped dancing and Lydia ran up to Charlotte before hugging and kissing her face. Charlotte turned around, to whisper something to Niall and pulled Lydia swiftly into a nearby room with her.

"Alright lads, I have to have a word with Harry. I don't care if you stay or go, but I have to say this now before we properly fall out." Niall said, very seriously.

This got everyones attention, Niall is rarely serious.

"I'm going to say." Liam added. "I think it's best, incase one of you decides to murder the other."

Good old sensible Liam.

"Right Harry." Niall started. "I mean it now. It's one thing sleeping with my girlfriend, it's another me showing up here after we've fallen out and her crying, covered in blood trying to get away from you."

A few gasps from the other lads echoed through the tiny living space.

I'd kept that part a secret.

"So I'm not only telling you as a brother, but i'm asking you as a friend... Please just leave our relationship alone." Niall finished his mini monologue and looked at me, waiting a response.

I sighed out, looking down to the floor, not ready to explain what I needed to.

"I can't." I told him, barely above a whisper. "I think I might love her."

Those we're obviously not the words Niall was looking for.

He launched himself at me screaming every name under the sun.

Zayn grabbed him to hold him back, but he just kept fighting.

This was the first time i'd properly fought with one of the boys and to be honest it frightened me.

"DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT HARRY STYLES!" He shouted. "DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE."

By this point Charlotte had come in, hearing all the commotion and was wide eyed at the scene unfolding in front of her.

She stood up on the coffee table so she was taller than everyone else before she started to speak.

"Look, I really like Niall. I like him a lot. But, I can't live with the fact that i'm breaking up this band and if that's what you guys would like..." She paused, trying to get out her next words carefully. "I'll stay away. From the both of you."

Niall looked distraught.

Heartbroken.

Any other adjective that describes utter sadness.

I cleared my throat, knowing what I had to do.

I turned to look Charlotte directly in her beautiful brown eyes.

"I'm sorry I got you wasted and slept with you. I'm sorry I took advantage of you. I'm sorry I kissed you on New Years Eve. I'm sorry that I've made you cry more times than humanely possible in the space of a week, and I'm sorry that I ruined your relationship with my best friend Charlotte. And honestly, if you can possibly forgive me at all i'd love to be friends... and i'd love for you and Niall to be together, because no matter how much I love you... he is perfect for you." I turned to Niall and opened my arms for him. "I'm so sorry buddy. I promise you that i'll stay away."

Niall smiled widely and embraced me into a tight hug, thanking me multiple times.

"Well then, what are we waiting for?!" Louis shouted. "Lets get this party started!"

Everyone cheered.

"WOAH WOAH WOAH." Charlotte calmed the noise down. "Who said I wanted to still be Niall's girlfriend."

Niall's smile fell from his face.

Charlotte giggled and winked at Niall.

"I'm totally kidding!" she added, before jumping into his arms and kissing him passionately on the lips.









And I swear to you, in that moment, my heart shattered into a million pieces.

But, I had to let it go...

For Niall's sake, and my own.

I love Charlotte.

And do you know what love is?

Love is keeping the promises you make.

Sorry, i'm trying to update as much as possible, but i feel they're getting worse bc i've been concentrating on my exams and stuff that are coming up soon... but feel free to give me you're honest opinion.

We have not seen the last of Charry by the way;)
