Your Date's a Football Star? Well, My Date Killed the Cullens
Chloe POV:
I was sitting in Psych class, teaching Loki some new tricks. Dean was on another monster hunt. He said they were hunting vampires; not the gay, pixie, sparkly kind. I laughed when he said that.
I still missed him, though. I had no one to talk to in first block. I mean, except for our rat.
"Where's Dean today?" Mrs. Vida asked me.
"He has the flu." I lied. All too well, I might add.
"Geez, these students are dropping like flies! Do you want some handsanitizer?"
"No, Mrs. Vida, I'm-"
"Okay! I'll get you some! Stay here." I chuckled softly at my crazy, lovable Psych teacher.
Dean POV:
We were riding in my dad's truck going over the list of supplies.
"Wooden stake?"
"Check." I replied.
"The set of knives?"
"Yep."
"Holy water?"
I looked at him with a sarcastic look, "Because you know, Dad, it's not like we don't carry that around with us all the time."
He playfully smacked the back of my head, "Just double checking, Dean. There's nothing wrong with that."
Once we made sure that we had everything, we decided to proceed with the plan. We both got out of the car, loaded up on weaponry, and leaned up against the wall near the door; out of sight.
"You remember the plan, Dean?"
I looked at him, confused, "Wasn't it just to attack?"
"Okay, good, you remember the plan, then." He returned his attention to the door and whispered, "1... 2...3!" And on 3, the wooden barn door came down with a crash. Three heads sprung up with the loud noise, looking like deer in headlights. Each one was feasting on it's own piece of prey. Or as the newspaper recalled it; the three girls who went missing on their hike.
The first one hissed as the light shone through, "Styles. Come to ruin the fun, eh?" He slowly rose to his feet and wiped away the blood on his mouth sloppily with the back of his hand.
I had my knife in hand, resting against my side, "No. We came to end it." I replied and lunged towards him. Unfortunately, he was faster than I was and threw me into a pile of haystacks. He came closer and picked me up by my shirt.
"Hm, I never had demon hunter before," he commented, "I wonder what you would taste like."
His fangs were coming closer as I yelled, "Not today, you son of a bitch!" And with a forceful stab, he released me and clutched his stomach. He then fell to the ground and started wincing and moaning in pain. I knelt over top of him and said, "I fucking hate vampires." and with one simple stroke, his head went rolling towards the wall. I got up and brushed myself off and saw Dad struggling with the last vampire.
They were rolling on the dusty, barn floor throwing punch after punch. This one was a female, and she stopped rolling when she was on top of him and pinned his arms down.
"Don't you get tired of this, John? Running after us all the time? Why do you have to spoil the fun? Vampires get hungry too." She pouted slightly as her lower lip stuck out.
And he simply replied, "Because you'll always be hungry, you little fuckers." She didn't know that I was right behind her, and as he said that, her head went rolling too.
"Did you check on the girls?" I asked.
"Yep. No pulses." I sighed. Damn. We were too late for them. I gave my old man a hand and lifted him up, followed by him brushing off his pants. He smiled at me as he did so
"What?" I asked, paranoid.
He put up his hands, shook his head, and let out a slight chuckle, "I'm just proud of you, Dean, that's all." He then pulled me into an awkward embrace. Awkward because I was covered in blood and so was he and we both had knives in our hands. But I grinned anyway and hugged him back.
"Thanks, Dad."
He patted my back and said, "Now! Let's go get that tux."
He continued to walk until I said, "Um... Dad?"
"Yeah?" he responded as he turned around.
I gestured towards our current appearances, "...Maybe we should wait until tomorrow."
"Good plan."
Chloe POV:
"So wait, you killed three vampires today?"
Dean looked at me with a hint of pride, "Yep."
"But wait. Aren't you a demon hunter?" he nodded, "So why are you hunting vampires?"
"Well, we hunt everything paranormal, really. But it's easier to say 'demon hunter' than say 'everything-paranormal-and-more hunter'."
"True." I concurred. There was a moment of silence until we both spoke again... at the same time.
"You go first." He said.
"No, you go first." I smiled.
He sighed, but not in an annoyed way, but in a happy-nervous way, "Can I ask what your dress looks like or is that against the rules?" His face was soft as he asked that.. That wasn't the face that I really knew, but I liked that side of him.
I laughed lightly, "It's blue."
He leaned back, feeling accomplished, "Blue would look great on you." He said, "I can't wait to see it."
