I noticed another girl staring at me. Her eyes are full of hatred and coldness. She mouthed 4 words at me:

I will kill you.

KAYLA’S P.O.V.

Soon, the sky is getting dark. We needed to find some food. Honestly, I don’t see the point of putting some sand here if there’s going to be woods around it. We agreed that a few of us would hunt while the rest of us stayed and watched our things. I volunteered to go hunt since the creepy girl was staying, and let me tell you, she freaked me out pretty bad. I need to avoid her as much as I can. I tried to talk to Tatiana about that girl but she just won’t listen.

I’ve always been pretty good with the knife. I hid behind a tree as I watched rodents run by, they’re too small to eat. Just then, I saw a deer flew by. I threw the knife at him and it landed right on his neck. He struggled for a moment and slowly died.

“I’m so sorry mister deer,” I whispered as I dragged him back.

After the other girls have finished gathering their food, we baked the food and took turns eating while others watched. Nobody attacked, probably because our group is so big.

I volunteered to take the first watch tonight while everyone else slept, mainly because I don’t want that creepy girl killing me in my dreams. I’ll be keeping an eye on her.

I watched the stars while everyone else slept. Soon, I was feeling a little drowsy too. But I forced myself to stay awake for the sake of not losing my life tonight.

I heard a twig snap. I jumped to my feet.

“Who goes there?” I meant to yell this sentence but it came out as a whisper. It’s honestly scary keeping watch by myself at night.

More rustles in the bushes, I swear somebody is here. My arm reaches over to wake the nearest girl but before I could reach her, something hit my head.

Then everything went dark.
