Chapter 5
The next day I woke up and went to work. Today was Friday. Oh my god today is Friday. I have that date with Niall that I didn't even agree to go to, but I wanted to go I really did. I thought it was adorable of how he text himself that question as is it was him. I thought about it. I was distracted all day. "Miss miss hello," I heard a women say. She snapped her fingers in my face. I shook my head," I'm so sorry ma'am," I apologized. "Dat's fine," She said before ordering
During my break I went to the break room. Jamie was sitting at the table talking to Owen. " Hey Maddi baby," Jamie greeted with a smile.
"How are ya," Owen asked and patted the seat next to him for me to sit.
I complied and sat next to him," Pretty well how 'boutchya," I smiled.
"Good," He smiled back.
"So what are ya guys talkin' about," I ask curious.
"Marcus," Jamie squealed," We went out last night it was amazin' Mad."
"Oh really," I smiled at her.
"Yes," She squealed.
"Yeh Marcus is pretty much all she can talk about," Owen said. I looked over at Owen. I loved his eyes they were a beautiful green.
"Can yeh blame her," I say.
"No she hasn't really been on a date in a while," Owen looked at me.
"Well I'm not the most attractive," Jamie weekly smiled.
"Dat's a lie yuhr hot," Owen complimented.
"Thanks," Jamie's smiled got bigger and she nervously laughed.
"Totally" I chuckled," Oh and guess what," I smile.
"What," Jamie's eyes were wide.
"Ya know dat one guy dat I ran into one day dat took meh home when I woke up from meh black out," I asked making sure she remembered.
"Yeh," She smiled.
"Well I'm goin' on a date wid' em ' tonight," I tell her.
She gasped," Really Oh meh gosh," Her smile got wide.
"Is he nice," Owen asked.
"Yeh very," I assured.
"Well be careful ya thought the same thing 'bout Jake and he turned out teh be a total arse," Owen reminded.
":I know, but I have a good feelin' 'bout this one," I sigh," He's he's a good one," I became lost in thought. I smiled faintly," Yeh,"
After work I went home, and began searching my closet for something good to wear. I pulled pretty much all my dresses out. I tried on my black dress that reached mid thigh.
Hmm I thought to myself. I look good in this. I smiled at my complimenting myself.
I reached to the self in my closet and pulled out all the shoe boxes at I had. I opened each box until I found a pair of gold black high heels. I put on a gold bracelet and a gold necklace
I looked at my iPhone to check the time. It was 7:40. I had twenty minutes until Niall would be here to get me. I went to the bathroom and applied make up. Which I should have done before getting dress, but I wasn't thinking correctly.
I applied some liquid foundation first. I put some gold eyeshadow and eyeliner. I put on some clear lip gloss. I brushed my blonde hair to the one side.
Niall knocked on the door. I grabbed my bag and I checked the mirror once more time and I ran down the stair and opened the door.
"Hey," I smiled. I moved out the way so he could come in. Niall walked in. He was wearing dark blue jeans a white oxford shirt tucked in with a black suit jacket opened showing the white shirt.
"Hey," He smiled," You ready," He asked.
"Umm hold on," I said before walking up the stairs. I didn't really need anything I just needed take a few breaths.
I stood in the bathroom looking at myself in the mirror.
"Alright Maddi ya got this," I whispered to myself," Ya have a good feelin' 'bout him he's nothin' like Jake," I whispered. I took a deep breath and went back downstairs," Alright I'm ready now." Niall was watching me come down the stairs with a smile. He went to the door and opened it for me.
"Thanks," I said quietly. I was feeling shy again.
On the way to Niall's car he took my hand. My eyes widened.
He chuckled.
Once we reached his car he unlocked it and opened the door and let me in. He has a black Range Rover. Niall walked over to the other side and got into the car. He started the ignition and we we off.
