This is Me
Chapter Four
"Per! No! You did not do that!" I buckled over with laughter, Perry sat across the booth from me, looking dead serious.
"I did. He was an ass, I kicked him in the nuts." She sipped her tea. I clutched my sides, which burned.
"That makes soo much sense." I sat back up, reaching for the pizza.
"Listen, Tegan, I know, you have a past, and you don't want to share it. I'm here, if you ever want to talk." She held my hand over the table.
"This conversation just got super serious." I remarked.
"You say the weirdest things."
Yes. I am back on earth. Have been for a year. I must say, now that I know what happens after death, I'm more, open, in life.
"Tegan?" I snapped out of my thoughts.
"What?"
"We need to go and meet the boys. They've texted me tons asking where we are."
"Oh, then lets go!" I hoped up and grabbed my purse.
"Hey girls!" Niall shouted from the kitchen. Liam stood in front of Perry and I, still holding the door.
"Ey Niall!" I yelled back. Louis ran down the hall in his boxers. "Lou, put pants on." I shook my head.
"No way! I'm going natural this week!"He skipped over to me and hugged me.
"Louis, I'm gonna have to agree with Tegan. PUT PANTS ON." Perry pushed on his back to send him up the stairs. Liam stared at me blankly, eyeing me up and down.
"Hello Liam." I waved my hand in his face.
"Oh, hi. You look nice." He let us in.
"Thank you!" Perry laughed. We walked in and plopped down on the couch. Liam brought me a mug of apple cider.
"Aww! Thanks." I took it.
"You're welcome. Can I talk to you?" He pulled me up by the elbow. I turned to face Perry while walking. She gave me a thumbs up. What? Once we were in his room with the door closed, he began to talk.
"So, Tegan. We've known each other for about a year, and I know you probably don't like me, but I, really-... like, super a lot... maybe sorta...- Like you?" He blushed at me. I blinked.
"Excuse me?" I whispered, my voice leaving me.
"I like you, more than a friend. I was wondering how you feel about me, and if you want to maybe be my girlfriend?" He stuttered. It took me a moment, or five, to process what he was saying.
"Oh! Ok, umm, Liam. I've never been in one of these situations before. I like you too, but I'm not sure if I can commit to a relationship." He wilted like a flower.
"Could you maybe try?" He asked hopefully. I sighed.
"You know what? Why not. Sure." HE scooped me up in a hug.
"Thank you so much Tegan!" Great. What have I gotten myself into?
