Like Nobody Before
Now and Then
"Welcome to Mullinger Ireland" the pilot said trought the microphone.
Sofie jumped from her seat unconsiously before she noticed everybody was still seating in their place. She took the earphones out and look throught the window, it was a rainy day, she loved rainy days. After the 9-hour-flight she was finally there with the only porpouse of meeting his friend, she wasnt even sure if he still lived in the same place or anything.
"Dad I'm here" she said throught the phone.
She got out of the plane to the airport where her father was waiting, a simple hi but a big hug was enough to feel her father's love.
Wow, Mullinger was just the same way as it was before, small city with small streets but the nicest people of all, everybody knew everybody there and you could feel the support everywhere. Already at home Sofie left her things in her new room that actually was her old room, it still had pink walls and the big fluffy white carpet, it was like if time didnt passed there.
"Welcome home" her dad said, standing infront of the door.
"Thankyou, I didn't remembered how this room looked like" she said with a little laugh scaping from her mouth.
"I know" her father said laughing "I'll get some help tomorrow to paint this, maybe we could go choose the color together and then go and get some food"
"Cool, tomorrow" she said smiling
Her father smiled back and turned around to leave the room, he walked and Sofie ran after him.
"Dad" she said almost screaming
"Yes?"
"Do you still talk to Bobby?"
Her father laughs "Of course!, we still work together and we get together for a couple of beers really often"
"Oh, that's cool, I'm glad you two are still best friends" smiling.
"I missed you so much darling, Im really glad you are here"
"Me too dad" she walked toward him and hugs him. The odds where on her favor, at least they still lived there and that was crucial for the mission.
The next day they both went to Home Depot to buy the paint for her walls, pink, pinker, more pink, maybe it was time to get over that. Green. Niall's favorite color was green, damn, how was she supposed to find him there in so little time. Blue, navy blue, her favorite color.
"I found it!" she screamed while she quickly turned around and accidently hit a person.
"I'm so sorry! Are you okay?!" she cried, it was a man, not an old man but a man "Greg?!"
"Sofie?! what are you doing here! you are soo, soo, grown up" greg said clearly surprised.
Sofie laughed "Yes!, omg how are you? I heared you got married and you have a baby now, congratulations!"
"Yes, yes, thankyou so much, your dad dindt told us you were here! I'm sure Niall is going to be so excited about it."
Niall.. he said Niall.. She was so close right know.
"Is Niall here?" she said sruprised. "What a surprise!"
"Yes! We are having a BBQ this weekend, you and your dad should come"
"Thankyou! We will, do you still live in the same place?" checkpoint.
Greg laughs "Of course! your father comes over every futbol night, he knows were we are"
"Okay then, see ya on Saturday!"
"Im so glad to see you, Niall is going to be so happy" Greg hugs Sofie and leaves.
So it was done, she was meeting Niall, easier than it seemed. But finally it was happening.
