Chapter 16
“So you and Liam have known each other for… how long?” Louis asks me curiously.
I look at Liam nervously and tried to hide my panic expression. What am I supposed to say? I don’t know where Liam is from! Oh wait he’s from… Um, it starts with a “W”, what is it?
“Um…” I trail off. “For-“
“Since we were nine, we went to school together.” Liam answers. I mentally sigh in relief but really give the boys a smile and nod.
“And how did you guys lose touch with each other?” Harry asks me. Why can’t they just ask Liam? Why me?

“My father got job here in London and we had to move, I was devastated to leave Liam. We were both twelve,” I answer.
“Funny, Liam has never mention you before and we have talked about our childhood friends before when we first met,” Louis says suspiciously making me gulp.
He’s onto you Mia! He’s going to find out you and Liam are lying and you are being paid to have sex with him, they’re going to hate you! My inner voice yells in panic.
“You never talked about me?” I fake gasp and look at Liam. Wow, good job Mia!
Liam grins at me and plays along.
“I couldn’t talk about you… It really did make me feel awful that we hadn’t spoken in forever and if I told them it would have brought back all the memories we had together and I couldn’t think about you, I missed you too much,” he said acting sad.
“Liam, I missed you too,” I smile and give him a hug. The boys ‘aw’ except for Louis who is still eyeing me suspiciously, I need to watch out for him.
When we pull apart, Liam gives me a kiss on the cheek, I love when he does that.
“How did you both reconnect again? I haven’t seen Liam smile like this in a while, I like it,” Zayn smiles to me but Liam glares at him.
“Yeah, it must have just been not too long ago or something because he wasn’t this Liam when we were with him a week and a half ago,” Niall laughed as if it were funny.
“It was at the mall in the food court,” Liam answered confidently.
“What did you think when you realized Liam is famous? Is that why you wanted to be friends with him again?” Louis asked with a hint of annoyance.
“Louis!” Liam hissed and glared at him.
“What? I’m just asking,” he shrugged.
What to say, what to say? I honestly didn’t even know Liam was famous when I first met him…

“Well when I saw him on the X-Factor twice, I was so happy for him, I knew he could sing but whenever I wanted to meet up with him somehow, it never worked out. Then when you all became the biggest music group on this planet, I thought it would be impossible to even speak to him. My parents weren’t any help in trying to help me contact his parents so I could get my number off from them to contact Liam. So I was on my own in trying to get my old best friend back. But being able to be with him now is the best in the world. He’s still the Liam I remember and miss,” I said. I almost believed my own story. I am the biggest liar in the plant…
My answer seemed to shut Louis up but he still had this thinking face look on his face. I don’t think he is going to except me anytime soon.
“Are you two together?” Harry asked casually. I nearly choke on air.
“No, no, no we’re just friends,” Liam answers quickly.
“Yeah, um, just friends reconnecting on life and stuff,” I smile softly.
“For now,” Niall winks at the both of us making me blush.
“Are you staying here with Liam?” Louis asks me yet again another question.
“Just for a little while, I’m looking for a new flat but it’s sort of hard, but as long as Liam wants me as company then I’ll stay,” I sort of lie but then didn’t lie, in a few weeks I will look for a new nicer flat to live in and it really is up to Liam when he wants to let me go or “fire me”.
I look at Liam and give him a smile. He smiles back and wraps an arm around me and brings his lips to my ear.
“I’ll always want you stay,” he whisper sending chills down my spine, I can’t shake it off that he gives me these weird feelings.
“Aw you two are too cute,” Niall shrieks in a girlie voice making me pull away from Liam and I nervously laugh.
"I agree,," Zayn speaks.
“Yeah you seem to both be happy with each other,” Harry says.
“Thanks guys,” Liam smiles.
“Well I let you have some guy time so I’m going to go…” I say and get up but the boys start to protest.
“No, you can join us, its fine!” Harry assured me.
“Nah, Liam needs time with you all anyways,” I playfully wink at them and poke Liam’s cheek making him grin.
“Are you sure?” Liam asks me but his eyes say “don’t go”.
“Yeah we need guy time,” Louis says. Of course he wants me to leave them.
“Say no more, I’ll go,” I smile them but earn a look from Louis. “Do you want any snacks or drinks?” I offer ignoring him.
“Me! Can you put some crisps in a bowl please and can I have some Pepsi?” Niall asks me hopefully.
“Sure,” I nod and leave the room but when I do, I hear them asking Liam all these questions about me.
“Liam she’s hot, mate!”
“Zayn you’re taken!”
“I know, but that doesn’t make her less hot.”
“Is she dating anyone?”
“Of course you would like to know Harry.”
“Do you like her Liam?”
“Um, well not like that…”
“Then can I ask her out?”
“No!”
“I don’t like her Liam…” I immediately know that’s Louis.
“What? Why?”
“Because, something is off about her…”

“Yeah Lou, just give her a chance!”
“Niall you only like her because she’s bringing you a snack.”

“Thanks Lou but she’s not going to hurt me, if anything it’s going to be the other way around.”
“Why is that Liam?”
“I just, I don’t know… I feel like I have screwed up so much already that it will happen with her.”
“Liam, don’t say that, everyone messes up but that doesn’t mean it’s your fault. What happened with Danielle wasn’t your fault, you did nothing wrong. It’s time for you to move mate.”
“We want the smiling, fun, crazy and dorky Liam back.”
“The fans miss you…”
“We miss you, it’s sad because you’re here with us now but yet you are so far away, we love you Liam, we need you.”
“Whatever Mia is doing, she needs to keep doing it, and you seem so much better Liam.”
“I don’t want to drag Mia into this though, I don’t want to make things complicated because of who I am now but I think it’s too late already…”
“Then don’t let her go, let her stay.”
I didn’t want to hear anymore, my heart was beating out of chest and my mouth became dry and so I left before I heard anything else I shouldn’t have heard.
The thing that drove my mind wild and really crazy… is that I don’t want him to ever let me go.

I won't update until Tuesday maybe. My brother's birthday is this weekend and we're having a big party and family from out of town is coming over. My birthday is on Monday, yay :) But boo I don't want to turn 19, it's going to be my last year as teen, ahhh!!!
