Wrecking Ball
Chapter 11
‘Louis, get dressed. We’re going home’ Harry said trying to control his anger.
Harry grabbed my hand and we walked into the hallway.
‘I’m sorry darling, I need to take him home. He’s clearly drunk and we need to talk’ Harry said placing his hands on my waist and leaning his lips against my forehead.
‘It’s fine, I need to talk to her too.’ I said motioning with my head towards Grace who was now standing in the doorway.
‘I’ll call you.’ Harry kissed me quickly and led Louis out to his car.
I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a red bull from the fridge. I could feel Grace’s eyes on me. I sat down at the breakfast bar and she sat opposite me.
‘What’s happening with you Grace?’ I rubbed my head frustrated.
Grace hesitated. ‘Louis came over soon after Niall left. I didn’t invite him or expect him and he had been drinking. He told me he needed to talk to me and he started telling me how much he likes me and calling me beautiful. We started kissing and that’s when you two walked in.’
‘You need to talk to Niall’ I could see in Grace’s eyes this was the last thing she wanted. ‘Harry can be here if you want’
‘Yes please, I’ll call him and we can talk tomorrow’ Grace said as she stood to walk out the door. ‘Goodnight’
I watched Grace walk out, trying to rub away the headache that was sitting behind my eyes. Nothing is ever easy.
Harry was already at ours the next day and we were waiting in the living room for Niall to get here. Grace was pacing the room biting her nails, I held Harry’s hand tightly, he was here in case Niall got angry and we couldn’t calm him.
The door bell rang and Grace took a deep breath walking out to answer the door. Harry and I stood as Niall walked in.
‘Oh you alright guys’ Niall said smiling before looking at our blank expressions. He looked at Grace. 'Whats going on?'
‘Grace needs to talk to you Niall. If you need us we will be in the kitchen.’ I took Harrys hand and led him into the kitchen.
I got us both a beer and we sat at the breakfast bar silently waiting until we were needed. About 10 minutes had passed before we heard Niall shouting.
‘How could you’ Harry jumped up and ran into the living room. I followed behind and Harry was already between the two of them trying to calm Niall down.
‘Did you know?’ Niall asked looking at Harry.
Harry paused before answering. ‘I only found out last night’
Niall ran his hands through his hair and walked around Harry.
‘Do you like him?’ Niall said in almost a whisper just so Grace could hear.
Grace hesitated.
‘That’s all I needed to know. Harry.’ Harry looked towards Niall. ‘Call Ian. Tell him I want back in and I want Louis.’ Niall said as he took one last look at Grace and walked out.
‘Shit’ Harry hissed through his teeth.
‘Harry, who’s Ian?’ I asked, worried.
‘He’s the guy who sets up all the boxing matches and runs the gym. Niall hasn’t fought in a long time. Louis will destroy him.’
At Harry’s words Grace fell onto the sofa, silently shaking with each sob. I followed her, wrapping my arm around her protectively.
Harry bent low in front of Grace and me. ‘Do you need anything girls?’ he asked concerned.
‘No it’s fine baby. We need to start getting ready for work soon anyway.’ I said brushing a few curls out of his face.
He grabbed my hand and kissed it before standing up and leaving the room. I heard the front door click shut behind him. I helped Grace up and took her to her room where she went to the bathroom and showered.
That night at work I kept catching Grace staring into space so I was virtually running the bar that night. I was lucky it was a quiet night. I was cleaning some glasses when I saw him walk in with a few other guys I recognised from the gym.
‘Beer please love’ Tom said running his hand up my arm.
‘Leave. Now.’
Tom let out a throaty laugh before grabbing me by the wrist and pulling me foreword trying to kiss me but instead only getting my cheek.
Tom was quickly pulled away from me by Harry. I hadn’t even seen him walk in. Harry threw him to the floor and knelt over him.
‘Don’t. Ever. Touch. My. Girl. Again.’ Harry said punching in between his words.
Liam and Zayn pulled him off and Tom quickly made his escape as Harry was being calmed down.
After a few minutes Harry looked at me and walked out the bar.
*Harry’s P.O.V*
I had to find that arsehole, I could feel my anger beating in my ears. I ran out the club and saw him with his friends trying to clear his face.
Before I could reach him his friends blocked my path.
‘You wanna settle this Styles?’ Tom was dabbing a cut above his eye. ‘Bare knuckled fight, tomorrow night’
I laughed and Zayn and Liam joined in.
‘Are you insane?’ Liam laughed. ‘Harry’s the best fighter at that gym.’
‘We’ll see’ Tom smirked as he walked away.
*Samii’s P.O.V*
After about 5 minutes Harry came back in to the club and came straight up to me and encircled his arm around me.
‘Let me take you home tonight’ he mumbled into my hair.
‘I finish in 10’ I smiled to him.
Harry unzipped my dress and started running his fingers through my hair.
‘You don’t have to do that’ I smiled feeling his hands massage my head.
‘I like looking after you Samii’ Harry kissed my bare shoulders.
Harry was already in his boxers so I threw his t-shirt on and climbed into bed with him. He pulled me close to him and started rubbing small circles into my back.
‘Go to sleep baby’ Harry cooed quietly.
I didn’t realise until I was here in bed how tired I was and how much my bones ached. This is what I wanted. Harry was everything I wanted.
